Love the fall tour. Congratulations on the pup - he's adorable! What kind of pole beans are those? I didn't know you could grow them in fall her in Texas.
BROOKE…You’re back! Loved the pup 🐶! Your garden is looking magnificent. I eat the greens 🥬 from my cauliflower and broccoli all the time just like collards so it’s no biggie. And they’re freaking DELICIOUS 😂. Thanks for sharing and stay blessed! -Calvin
Calvin!!! Your comment on another video kicked my butt into gear to film this so I'm glad you were able to watch :) Also I'm SO relieved to hear someone else eats the cauliflower greens, I'm fascinated to see if it impacts the size of the actual cauliflower head. Thanks always for being here
Wow your garden looks spectacular! I can’t wait to watch the 2024 transformation. I also became a pole bean convert this year. What variety are you growing? I’m trying Seychelles next year. Also, props to you for growing your own wedding flowers. Is it a risk? Yes. But absolutely worth it. That will be so special.
I did Black Creaseback, Kentucky Wonder, and Ideal Market from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange and Botanical Interest! Also thank you for the wedding flower support, I'm so excited :)
Hey Brooke, good to see you back. And you really did kill it this year with the fall garden. Little jealous your garden turned out better than mine this fall. I think it is a great idea to grow your own flowers, esp. the sunflowers. Just plant a range of dates cause each year is different. And if Cam is good with it, that is all that matters.
I was just thinking about you a few days ago lol. I was like I miss her videos 😩 but I understand it’s the holidays. It’s super busy over here as well. I’m growing carrots and onions. It’s consistently lows in the 20’s-30’s so I’m grateful for whatever we get from it lol. I’m thinking about buying a greenstalk plant stand to grow a bunch of new strawberries in the spring. I can’t wait to see your drip irrigation videos! If you can make it dummy proof, that’d be awesome! I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to do it in a neat way around my raised beds 🙈 Your puppy is super adorable. That’s really cool that you’re growing your own flowers and I totally understand about the cost of flowers lol. It’s SO expensive. It’s awesome that you’re able to grow your own though! I need to get out in the garden and pull weeds. I’ve been slacking on that for sure since my 3yr old has been bursting into my room at 7am every morning ready to start his day 😭 I used to get up at 7am to do garden chores. Idk what I’m going to do now because it’s like 33 degrees in the morning over here and I don’t want to have him outside with me in the garden for an extended amount of time in those temps.
Oh my gosh I cannot imagine trying to juggle the garden and small children, you are a magician if you can do it! How are the onions doing in cold temps? I'm trying to decided if I want to play with starting some from seed outside...
@@WhatBrookeGrows This is my first time growing onions, but I bought the Texas early grano and round tropea onion seeds. I planted them around September and they’re still small 😂 Not sure if it’s user error or what because they’re short day onions lol. I get full afternoon sun on that side. I recently watched a Tik Tok of a U-Pick farm in McKinney, TX (I’m in Louisiana about 2hrs from there) and they said they plant their short day onions by seed in January and get full size onions by May-ish so I guess it really does just take a long time. I’ll be planting some next January like them since they’re close enough to my area but right now I don’t have room for any new onions. And yes, I’m still trying to master keeping up with a 3yr old in the garden 😂 He’s been pretty good at not picking my plants other than playing with the leaves that fall on the ground lol But the other day I had him out there helping me and he got a little carried away with the weed pulling and grabbed himself a little strawberry leaf 😂 He’s usually pretty tame out there though as long as I’m somewhere near lol! I can’t wait for my berries to fruit so he can have fun picking them with me. It’s all so much fun seeing him experience the fun of gardening with me.
Im happy for you! Ive been watching your garden for a while and its looking great! Im new to gardening and would like to start with potatoes like now! Lol and a few other veggies. However, this south texas weather is definitely a challenge! Handsome pup BTW! Wishing you many blessings this coming year! 🎉
I just saw this I'm so sorry!! I use leaf mold compost, chicken manure compost, old mushroom blocks, and then naturally aged mulch on top (I prefer cedar but didn't use it this time). For fertilizer, I'll just use something balanced once per season unless I know that a plant needs something specific (i.e. tomato tone for tomatoes or bone meal for onions, etc.)

My sister's dog loved green beans. She would call "Greenie Beanie" and the dog would run to get the treat. I always enjoy your vlogs. Happy New Year.

@@WhatBrookeGrows Its a lot like gardening with a puppy. Ahh, get out of that. Don't touch that it will hurt you.

Enjoyed the video. What zone are you in?
Just re-zoned to 9a! I'm in Central Texas
May I have a quick conversation with whoever isn't supporting you growing your wedding flowers?
hahah just a quick chat right? everyone comes out in one piece?
@@WhatBrookeGrows very quick 😂
hey the audio is missing little lady 🙃
I can hear it on my end
I published it before it finished processing like a silly goose, try again now and see if it works!!
