Thank you so much! I was really wowed by it when I saw it but haven't heard anyone talk about it - let alone analyze. Hope the video makes it more approachable. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
27:35 hi there, i'm human. I also enjoyed the spoken analysis you had while watching the movie. I don't think I will watch the movie (even if it's free in youtube as you mentioned). I don't get very exited to see reality depicted truthfully. I search for something like a dream when watching a movie. Or something spectacular from my point of view. Or surprises. Or something beautiful. And i don't think I will have any of that from this movie. Heemeyer was already a known fact for me from the helicopter video of his rampage. But I didn't quite get why he has done this. Now I can understand more clearly the reasoning behind his act after watching your explanation you have given here. And it's telling how different the outcome is compared to Nikolai but in a way also very similar. Nikolai is essentially dead as a human being as he rots in a cell. And even when he should come out, nothing is left for him. Heemeyer shot himself dead before he could be captured by the officials. And both endings are tragic. And both stories show how less affected the people are that caused the damage done to Nikolai or Heemeyer. In Heemeyer's case I would guess everybody was compensated by their insurances in one way or another. So it just was temporary damage for them, but not so for Heemeyer. And not so for Nikolai. Hope to see more videos. Also iam still thankfull for your video on cloud atlas. It's a jewel in my very small movie collection.
Wow, thanks so much for the in-depth and thoughtful comment! I actually wrote this video's script so I could talk about the movie in a way that was useful to people who have never seen it so I'm glad you felt it was engaging even though you've never seen the movie. I'm very flattered you liked my Cloud Atlas video too. It's a great film. I really appreciate your thoughts and for keeping up with my work.
This is the best analysis about this film I've found on youtube!
