This video was recorded a while ago, so it is a bit of a step backwards in audio quality. I decided to upload it rather than delete it as it is still watchable and may be of interest.
Please don't send comments about audio quality and closer filming, we are already aware that we have room to improve both and are in the process of doing so, but the lighting, pro-equipment and macro lens required cost several thousand pounds.
We are working on 3 big restorations at the moment, the fire damaged Rolex 16013, a very rare Patek tank which had it's case scrapped and a Pie Pan Constellation from eBay which was found in the street in awful condition. At the moment we are gathering parts for these projects.
The plan is to have the new video equipment in place in time for these big restorations to be filmed. In the meantime I will continue to film the more interesting jobs from our regular repair workload using my phone.
Great video! So interesting to see "my watch" taken apart and put back together! Thanks for the upload.
Wow the best watch repair in Nottingham. I been gone to them for almost past 5years,and I can say it’s best shop in Nottingham
What’s the shop name to get in touch? I have a watch I need serviced. Thanks
Great job, and this is the first Panerai i have seen being service, and i watch a lot of watchmaker videos.
nice job mate, love these 6497, simple but elegant and sturdy basic mvts...thanks for sharing
Lovely work!! Im at BHI on Monday doing a 5 day course on servicing manual winding watch.
it really is a pleasure to watch you work 👌🏼
Very nice service. Thoroughly enjoyed it. As for the timegrapher though, the lift angle of the 6497 is 44 degrees, not the regular 52 degrees of more modern movements. Using the correct lift angle would net you a lower and more appropriate amplitude for this movement freshly serviced of around 290-295 degrees.
Great videos! However the one thing that always scares me with small watchmakers is that they don't work in a dust free environment like most of the official service centers and manufactures. I can already see a spec of dust you left on the minute hand, right next to the center and that would bug the hell out of me...
Great watch!
It’s the watchmaker, not the watch, that makes the channel my friend. I would still watch this channel even if you only worked on Timex.
Thanks so much for this amazing video. Skilled professionals like you simply amaze me. I wonder what your thoughts are on the new panerai in house auto p9010. Cheers
Could the watch be any bigger ?
Does it count as an offensive weapon when worn ?
Asking the important questions...
Why yes, I do have a skinny wrist; how di you guess ???
Yes, it could, this is the mid-size, the historically correct Panerai size would be 47mm. It does not wear big at all, but I guess you could go for the beta male AKA lady size models, 40mm or so.
Teeny wristed dudes always ask this question.
Hi, great videos thanks. How can I get in touch to get a watch serviced please? Ps. I think your gloves are smashing.
How do I know the names of the spare parts
Can someone tell me what the PAM number this model is please?
Quite sure it is a PAM111
I have the same watch, same issue I think! Ive emailed. Hope you can help
very reliable movement-----'' then why is it on your bench''? citizen is reliable
Ever get your car serviced? You know change the oil, top off the fluids and rotate the tires? I hear they last longer when you do that I wonder if the same principle applies to mechanical watches. And if you're looking for reliability, not wearing any watch at all means you don't have a watch that can break, ever.
lol Citizen... maybe a quartz one, those Miyota movements are rubbish :)
@@PoltergeistWorks Miyota Movements basically are intended to be replaced with a new one during the service of the Watch. This fact does not make the Movement itself "bad" as such: It's just a different approach to solve the issue of "Servicing the Watch".
Of course one can go and service eg. a Miyota 8205; even spare parts are available. A New Movement costs £/$/€40, so the work is profitable and sensible for Hobbyists only.
I was just reading the comments, you really do get some strange ones. But angry over gloves? Personally I'd prefer a watchmaker use them and not introduce natural oils, salts and whatever else might accidentally be missed. God help that guy if he ever watches a video of a surgical procedure 😂😂
I think "Cerberus" just met a Thoroughbred Net Troll spewing his "Anti-Glove" attitude just for questionable fun. 💩
I'm not a Watchmaker, but IMHO Cerberus Watches shows in their videos about the best possible working practises in the repair service.
Do you have a parts account?
