Good Lord, man. I've never felt so guilty and thankful at the same time. I've done this on my own and feared doing it again but this is such a fantastic and detailed video I'm doing it tomorrow just for fun. Will ultimately try to add sound deadening to the doors
The tip with the clips and window seal at the top changed everything, I was installing some tow mirrors and could not figure out how to get the panel back on until you showed that. Thanks a bunch.
Great video. Removing the window seal and clips and repositioning on the door was just what I needed to get the panel back on. I did have a problem with the door handle clips moving out of place so the screws wouldn’t bite. Had to reposition and tape these clips in place before screwing the door handle screws back in. Thanks.
All I can say is you better really want those speakers bad. PAY SOMEONE TO DO IT AND THANK THEM PROFUSELY. Seriously, I couldn't have accomplished this without this video. Thanks!
This is the video I've been searching for!!!! I'm wanting to change out all my door speakers to get some better sound and this is what I need to know. Thank you!
I have the ZR2 with the upgraded sound package but the bass rattles my drivers side door lock (the part that sticks up where your elbow would be if you drove with your window down and arm out the window) No issues on the passenger side though It rattles no matter if the button-thing is pushed out or in - but when I touch it, the rattle disappears. Ive thought about taking my door apart to fix it but after watching this I still am not sure what would be causing it or how I'd even fix this. IT seriously drives me nuts as I paid an extra $1,000CAD for the system but all I hear is that damn rattle. Any ideas? ps. thank you for this video
The Door lock rod has a rubber isolator that it pops into. Tt's supposed to reduce that rattle and Its very possible its not in the isolator. IN the video you will see it as a rubber flange with a hole and slot in it. Also could be some of the wiring in there. I use Tessa tape when i try to eliminate rattles.
well done
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!
Happy to help out. I could not find a complete video that had all the tricks and tips in one place.

I agree. This is a wonderful channel. So much great info! 👍🏻
😄 I have had to go into the doors about 2 times for audio and 1 deep dust cleaning #dirtlife
Thank you for the compliment. More topics coming soon

Happy to hear that it helped. I did figure that tip out until my second time removing the door panel.

Every install will vary a little based on how the clips and fasteners come apart.
Great video! Very helpful.

Great job Rick, best DIY I've seen on these panels from hell.
They really don't make it easy and the "snap" in parts just don't last too many uses.
Awesome informative video, thanks!
Thanks, it a topic that has had a lot of subscriber requests.

What if the pad on the door starts to come up from heat ,and you need to reinstall it,do I put a heat gun on it to make it pliable?
Are all the speakers 6x9m
No. The front doors are 6"x9" ovals and the rear doors are 6 3/4" rounds
