the skarbage speaker sounds good ! earler tonight we ( my wife and i) built a mossrite fuzzrite (silicon) on stripboard , we are going to use the same idea - a little tin we found at goodwill - for the chassis . i am not sure if you have any tips for me on drilling this type of chassis . in the past i tried using forstener bits ,stepped drill bits ,and then of course wearing gloves ... i only have 2 left ... but i use a needle nose to pick the flash and little bits of metal that are stubborn from each hole .i can never seem to get a clean hole with the thin tin . i heard roy buchanons first single " mule train stomp" and i think its a mossrite fuzzrite on that one , man the tone is so ratty ! its a really great piece we are going to try and cover it for fun . the dead bug rectifyer looks so neat ! thats really cool how you were able to figure how how running the p.s. stuff seperately - you end up with less noise. hats off ! super cool stuff you are doing . just way too many tubes for me . i am not a tube guy . i do have a pair of gauss 400 watt 12's i got at goodwill for 15 dollars tho . those are my favorite speakers i have here now. i have a jtm45 thats all hand wired that is just a beast , but i really like the tones i have been getting using a germanium rangemaster , paired with an ep boost top bring back some mids - i run those boost pedals in the effects loop of a nux mg30 amp modeler , and i use vox ac and roland jc and fender mostly clean tones .the rangemaster is magical tho, it does distort but its very plesant . for many years i played 6 thru a big muff with an eq scooping mids lol . i dont do that any more . ha ha . but yeah my tone now is so much better than ever. we built a powered mixer using a 600 watt class d amp board , and that runs off a e-bike battery . its all hacked together . but we record off the mixing board so the audio is great on tyhe live videos we shoot . i would not be able to power tube stuff remote . which is why i use the modeler . like when i am at home in our 2 bedroom i cant really crank any of my amps , so i mostly use amp modeling thru headphones . but when i record i use a pair of tube pres and i have a tube preamp in between our mixer and then my headphone amp setup , which uses burr brown 2134 . those chips are not cheap , but they are excellent . i have them in my eq and my headphone amp . more recently i built a over drive pedal that also uses a opa2134 and that thing is really unique an just absolutely incredible , comparing it to all the others i have built . i built a lot of circuits that never got boxed up because i ended up becoming picky . there is circuits people love that i do not care for . tone is subjective .what is good for me may not be good for you . i think that is ok . guitar players tend to be competative .thats silly . we are all on the same team . its not a dick measuring contest about gear . or is it ? i mean for me , i just love playing and making music , making the tools to help me do that is also fun for us .i am lucky . great stuff on your channel here , honestly you are one of my favorite guys on youtube . your music is very good too . i will say , how you are doing it on the looper is absolutely nuts and it shows how you can have a thing and it can work well for you . sometimes its working withing a set of parameters i wouldnt so much say limitations but this type of thing can produce some very specific and unique results perhaps . either way , have fun and i hope to hear more music and see more projects from your channel in the coming year pal .
