@@morph-the-cat My secrets!! Dang!!! I use the mixer sometimes to blend tracks and tweak the phonics of a given sound, like in this case to fatten up the sound of the drum machine and vocals. It's raw, but it works for me. Plus it's fun.

This one seemed to take form all by itself, and I felt kind of swept away with the layers of sounds... like a rolling wave that changes form as it goes along. Secondly... the comparison to GBV... holy smokes. I actually had never even heard of Uncle Bob until you mentioned GBV. I figured that I'd better check out Guided By Voices before I reply, so I at least know where you're coming from. And wow. Aside from the very flattering comparison to one of the world's most prolific song writing machines, I also want to thank you for helping me find this guy. He's amazing. Thanks.

Totally. Up to ten minutes I think? But I've never tested that. This one was a little bit more tricky than others, because the only way I could figure to get the drums to start after the recording began, was to start recording and playing the main guitar riff, then hit the drum machine button with my toe in perfect time... But I got it. Then it's just layering guitars one by one. Still a little bit tricky because you can't redo a single track, so any major mistake means scrapping the whole thing and starting over. The big trick is getting volume levels right without too much frequency talkover. So after the initial track is layed down, I play it over a few times to get the sounds right, then a few more times to make sure I know what notes to play. Then I just go for it. So far it's been working out ok, and it's fun!

​​@@morph-the-catYep. From right to left as you see, to the amp. The looper pedal is by no means a good recording device. Buuuuut, you can slam out ideas like this just about as fast as they come to you. I have a nice little zoom 8 track, and I've never actually used it. I still need to figure out how to format the memory card, so instead I've been using the looper pedal. It has quirks, and I've lost a few pretty good ideas because the memory just randomly craps out, and because there's only one track to record on, so a new project means scrapping whatever was already recorded. But I still feel like it's worth using for fun. And for about $40 cdn from Amazon, delivered to my door in a few days... Man I really like this thing.

Yes the canopy is an issue i wish i could find a way to have the camera inside but the plastic is blurry, maybe with a mod of a clear plastic? Also is it possible to have the same battery?And lastly can i use the same rx and tx of eachine? The tx of this new spit the version 2 has two empty slots and i read that these are 2 unused sockets for DSM (3v) or S-bus (5v) satellite receiver inputs but i don't know what are for

So I suck. This song sucks. I'm documenting my progression from sucks to less sucks. Hopefully some day I'm good enough to not need the word "sucks" to describe my playing and composing. Lol

@@StillLivinginthewoods Very interesting. Since figuring out how to mitigate the noise with a dedicated and filtered power supply, that pedal is almost always in the lineup. If you combine it with the right distortion and IR, it can mimic Slash's sound pretty well too. Really like that pedal!

Thanks bro. That's a modified introduction for a song I composed about 15 years ago called "Blue by Association". I still have the original recording somewhere, I'll upload it sometime soon. You might like it. Done entirely with an acoustic guitar, a crappy computer microphone and sampled drum sounds hand placed with the audacity program. Ok, truth is the recording is very low quality. Buuut, the song is ok plus a little bit.
