This is exactly what blizzard needs to do. Release novels based on lore events from classic WoW. I wanna read about the Horde raid on Blackhand, the Alliance delving into the deadmines and fighting VC, Onyxia's reveal in the throneroom, so many opportunities for books
They definitely planted rich lore in the game, with short stories and questlines like Morgan’s tragic tale and the history of the Defias Brotherhood. The information is there, woven into the world! Perhaps it’s up to us lore enthusiasts to bring these stories to life outside the game.

Many times I've heard or read players complain that Blizzard should bring back the War in Warcraft but it's stories like these make us realize the toll it takes on the NPC's who don't have the luxury of the title of...Champion. I love the contrast between him and Stalvan Mistmantle. I especially like that Stalvan kept his name. Because, unlike Ladimore, he wasn't corrupted. He was just always evil.

Deadwind Pass is such an underexplored zone. There’s more to that passthrough place than meets the eye, even if it seems quiet at first glance. Karazhan and the crypts are definitely an ambitious project, but rest assured, they’ll make it onto the screen someday!
The sense of dread and anticipation truly shows how brilliantly this story was crafted and brought to life. A standout piece of storytelling in Azeroth, without question!
i LOVE mor'ladim and all duskwood. so much so that I have named EVERY one of my alts on all games since with the last name ladimore. even on youtube, as you can see. back in classic it took a decent amount of players to kill stitches, too. #happyhalloween!

An inexperienced adventurer can never forget wandering through the Raven Hill graveyard, only to be struck down in an instant by pure rage-left wondering what on Azeroth just hit them!
I made sure to come back to Darkshire after out leveling it back in the day just so I could smash Mor’Ladim’s bony head as revenge for all of the times he killed me when I was lower level 😂

From the lands of Kalimdor to those of the Eastern Kingdoms, no matter north or south, the Zones and stories that make up Azeroth are quite unlike anything else! We all have some of our fondest memories there, and I'm glad we can relive them together once more!

Better yet to expand on the many stories they could have tied into that zone, I mean, witches, ghosts, murder, love, betrayal...the things a mother would do to preserve her house, land and lineage...oh my! Hmmm what else, oh 'fleshing out' the story behind Thaddius in Naxxramus would be nice. I remember my first raid against him and say, does anyone notice he's made out of flesh? I had to look this one up, the Horrific Vision of Stormwind, it adds more context to the group of children that play in regular Stormwind, flow them and see where they end up :) Now who cannot forget that lovely quest in Nagrand at Challe's Home for Little Tykes :)

Stitches, rumbling and shacking the ground, chasing after me was scary AF, the first time i encountered Duskwoods , i played a human Rogue , so going stealth made things even scarier, because he was literally trying to sniff me out , no joke gave me the lotr ring wraiths vibes hiding behind a tree 😅

A true keeper of Azeroth's histories, I see. Fitting indeed for a _Chronicler_ . Holding onto the book makes it feel like you’re keeping a piece of Morgan Ladimore’s story alive. Duskwood’s dark pages rest well in your capable hands, noble paladin.

The love of the father can turn into a wrath worthy of the gods, blind vengeance aimed at all and especially himself. Great men undone by the things they hold most dear with neither at fault are the most pitiable of tales. What is the takeaway here? To never let yourself experience love so strong? To allow fate to take its course, being content in the tides of time sweeping you away as they see fit? Numb yourself so thoroughly that you feel nothing? No, i believe great tragedies like these are tales of forgiveness, of understanding. The fragility of man is a fact and all the more reason the individual who faces a catastrophic adversary in the name of others should be honored. Even if they fall. Especially if they fall.
Wonderfully put. These stories teach us that it’s not about avoiding love or loss, but honoring the courage it takes to face great adversity. It’s in that struggle, and the willingness to fall, that true strength is found.

@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth Indeed! I think that Outland and the Burning Crusade expansion is a gold mine for dark and creepy stories. I feel that Terokkar Forest has some chilling backstory including the fate of Auchindoun, same with Shadowmoon Valley. Then we also have Karazhan! The death knight starting campaign is quite chilling and many events that takes place in Northrend, thinknig in particular of Dragonblight.
It's funny. I played the game for nearly five years before quitting in late Wrath. I never played Alliance. It wasn't an option. I had never heard of Mor'Ladim, Van Cleef, or Mr. Mistmantle until Classic came out and I watched those levelling streams and vids. Hell, I remember getting run around by a guildie during or just after Ulduar after I had told him I had never been to Darkshore or 50 percent of the EK. To be fair, I was slow as hell at levelling as I'd get into my 30s and start another alt. I didnt hit my first 60 until a month into BC. So I never did vanilla 50+ as current content, only ever doing any WPL, EPL, B Steppes quests or dungeons etc while levelling alts during BC or Wrath.
It’s funny how we all find our own way in Azeroth! For me, it was the opposite. I stuck with a single human warrior, tanking my way up to the Lich King in Icecrown Citadel and then going after the achievements. That kept me going for ages!
@TheChroniclesofAzeroth also you said he believed his family was killed but nothing was mentioned as to how he had a surviving daughter. I know they must have survived but nothing was said as to where they were when he got back home
It’s not written by AI, though some sections are enhanced to refine the tone and flow of the narrative. Adjustments to sentence structure and word choice allows the story to flow naturally, by avoiding repetitive language or clunky phrasing.
@ I have completed this quest as well as the rest of Duskwood dozens of times, both pre- and post-Cataclysm, and I have never found Archerus to be better than the weapon I already had. Just sayin’.

@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth Indeed! I think that Outland and the Burning Crusade expansion is a gold mine for dark and creepy stories. I feel that Terokkar Forest has some chilling backstory including the fate of Auchindoun, same with Shadowmoon Valley. Then we also have Karazhan!
The death knight starting campaign is quite chilling and many events that takes place in Northrend, thinknig in particular of Dragonblight.
The Terror of Terrokar is one hell of a quest/story line! Thanks for all the suggestions, I have them written down.

I was hoping those Corrupted ashbringer style whispers were actually ingame and I somehow missed them
For this tale, I experimented with sound effects to capture that eerie, ‘from beyond’ feel. It worked out quite well, if I may say so myself.
It's funny. I played the game for nearly five years before quitting in late Wrath. I never played Alliance. It wasn't an option. I had never heard of Mor'Ladim, Van Cleef, or Mr. Mistmantle until Classic came out and I watched those levelling streams and vids. Hell, I remember getting run around by a guildie during or just after Ulduar after I had told him I had never been to Darkshore or 50 percent of the EK. To be fair, I was slow as hell at levelling as I'd get into my 30s and start another alt. I didnt hit my first 60 until a month into BC. So I never did vanilla 50+ as current content, only ever doing any WPL, EPL, B Steppes quests or dungeons etc while levelling alts during BC or Wrath.
It’s funny how we all find our own way in Azeroth! For me, it was the opposite. I stuck with a single human warrior, tanking my way up to the Lich King in Icecrown Citadel and then going after the achievements. That kept me going for ages!

It’s not written by AI, though some sections are enhanced to refine the tone and flow of the narrative. Adjustments to sentence structure and word choice allows the story to flow naturally, by avoiding repetitive language or clunky phrasing.
And then the hooded traveler goes and vendors the not particularly good sword.
Lol! Just goes to show even a mysterious traveller needs to start somewhere... and sometimes that means wielding a less-than-legendary blade.
@ I have completed this quest as well as the rest of Duskwood dozens of times, both pre- and post-Cataclysm, and I have never found Archerus to be better than the weapon I already had. Just sayin’.
