      I remember when I first got there, during the first weeks of original Vanilla, I thought my level 30-something paladin was a badass.
      A group of Alliance players were minding their own business, then a group of high level Horde guys appeared out of nowhere and destroyed everyone. I panicked and just hid behind a tree. They didn't see me and moved on. That whole experience felt so real :)

    Dear Loremaster, thank you for doing a video on another of my favourite Azeroth zones. I have so many fond memories of running around here. Both whilst levelling up, but also when I was max level. I remember the long long run from wetlands all the way up through Arathi highlands, being chaised by the forsaken wanderers. I remember running around the Yeti cave trying to collect pelts for the cloak quest. I remember hunting murlocs along the coast line, evading other hordes coming for some easy PvP. Most of all I remember the great battles that used to take place on the plains in Hillsbrad. Being home from school, having some hordes attack me, calling in backup to repel them.. when they called in more friends. This escalating to a battle of a massive scale. It was also here I remember killing a horde (mostly through luck) and the title "blood guard" popping up on my screen, getting so excited that I ended up texting my friend about it and we freaking out over killing such a high rank player! Those were the times. I could go on and on, but mostly I just want to say thank you, loremaster, for putting a smile on my face and enjoying old memories.

      Don't tell the rest, but here's another paragraph that was left out of the video: Without warning, the earth trembles faintly underfoot, and a heavy silence falls across the battlefield. In these rare moments, no blade can swing, no spell can cast, and no cry can be heard. Both the Horde and the Alliance have learned to fear these pauses, viewing them as the land's way of groaning under the weight of their battles.

    It's a shame you can't reset your level to go through the history of the place again 🙂 No place has as much charm as Hillsbrad, the last refuge of the people in the north and a haven before the plague grounds. Pity the alliance didn't have more to do there apart from a few quests. For that I was completely lost doing quests on the Horde side. It's a shame that the place has completely lost its former charm. I hope to return to this place one day.

    • @TheChroniclesofAzeroth
      @TheChroniclesofAzeroth  7 місяців тому +2

      The mention of Anduin often brings to mind the young King of Stormwind, Anduin Wrynn. However, in the tales of Hillsbrad Foothills, it's Anduin Lothar, a figure from an earlier era. Known as the 'Lion of Azeroth,' Lothar was a legendary warrior and leader during the tumultuous times of the First and Second Wars. It's easy to get the two mixed up with such heroic qualities shared between them, but each Anduin played his own unique role in world of Azeroth.

    The one thing I hate about this channel (AND not the Fault of the Channel creator!) I always want to reinstall and resub to the game. But I know I will be disappointed big time if I do so as the game I knew and loved of old have been trashed and ruined over the years and even Classic can't bring it back as part of what I loved was open world RP of old which sadly never did take off in Classic (To the point of the Classic EU RP server being so sad it have FREE characters transfers away from it) But Wow have SOOOO much wonderful lore and history (I DID play it for nearly 18 years after all)

      I've actually come to like the Lore Master voice. I thought about it before... but I think it wouldn't have the same effect if it were a person reading the script. With the AI voice, he can use more interesting dialogue.
      The writing is wonderful! It reads exactly as one would think an old, wise, fantasy loremaster would sound.

    • @TheChroniclesofAzeroth
      @TheChroniclesofAzeroth  7 місяців тому +1

      Absolutely, I've thought about doing the narration myself, but personal reasons led me to choose otherwise. This new AI technology now overcomes those barriers, allowing me to share the passion that I have for this game consistently and in the unique style I've always envisioned!

    • @Lizard1582
      @Lizard1582 7 місяців тому +1

      Me neither, but it's better than nothing if he would've otherwise made no video at all. I sadly dont listen much because then AI voice does get distractingly monotonous, and the writing gets verbose, but it works fine for others.

      For context and transparency; I write all the scripts myself from start to finish. After that, I indeed refine certain sections with the help of AI, to achieve the precise style and tone that befits a wise and knowledgeable narrator.
