I still remember the first time we killed VanCleef, got out of Deadmines and gazed at the sun. It was the moment that I realized WoW was something special, won me as a player and kept me playing non stop until cataclysm. So many memories. And damn, it was almost 20 years ago. I was in college and now Im a married man with 2 kids! THANK you for reminding me my friend. Keep up the good work!
Greetings, everyone! A little later than planned, but welcome to the Lore of The Deadmines, where we will unravel the secrets of these tunnels and take on many underground battles. And let's pause to contemplate: Did Edwin VanCleef truly deserve the fate that ultimately befell him? I'm eager to hear your insights about this fascinating character in the World of Azeroth, so please feel free to share your opinions in the comments below. Enjoy!
I wholeheartedly believe he only wanted what was rightly owed to him and his fellow stone cutters. He maybe took a drastic, rash choice in turning to banditry but it also certainly got the noble's attention. In the end, I don't think he deserved what he got but he also didn't deserve the treatment he received after his loyalty to the Alliance.
I love this channel so much. I can’t get enough of people taking fantasy settings seriously and not sounding like pretentious morons. To clarify; I love your narration and writing. Please keep up the excellent work!! 🎉✨✨🎉
Very excited for this one. The deadmines and the lore surrounding the defias and Edwin is still some of my favourite lore to this day. Blizzard really nailed it on their first go at a dungeon and it shows. Such a good build up of the defias throughout the starting zones only to culminate in such a fun dungeon.

I've recommended you to EVERY single friend of mine who either played or still play wow. Hell even my young children who have never even seen wow are hooked on these videos! Greetings Loremaster! The Deadmines was my first real adventure away from helping ordinary citizens of Azeroth across the lands. I still remember the thick air of the narrow and windy corridors of the mine filled with foes. Breaking into the final chamber the air suddenly felt much fresher and I needed to take a moment with my group to soak in the view and take a sip of water. I truly understood the vastness of Azeroth standing in there. Thank you, dear Loremaster for bringing back such an old memory. (absolutely amazing video as always!)
