I purchased book when it came out, but the alliance stuff in the beginning was so boring i still haven't went back. I cant wait for you to spice it up lol.
I must say I love the humour inserted into the story and it added a playful twist to the story keeping it relatable to my friends who are not gamers. Thank you for making game lore fun!!!!

“WE ARE NOT PREPARED.” Or “YOU ARE NOT PREPARED.” Is used interchangeably in this home in the illidan voice. Because I have triplets and 99% of the time someone is missing a shoe or forgot to try to use the potty (toddlers) so yeah WE ARE NOT PREPARED

Basically Illidan was trying to save the world his entire life, and everybody is bitching about HOW he’s doing it, instead of the fact that he’s got it done. Yeah he did screwed up things, but in the end it saved so many more lives
Genuinely think this is the best Warcraft novel. William King of Gotrek and Felix fame should have been the cue they took going forward, for all their writing, in and out of game.
Illidan is region locked on audible. Even if I can't read it in Aus, I'm glad to have this parody to give me insight to what goes on. I've mained a demon hunter since they released in Legion and I love their aesthetic to bits. Plus Illidan was always my favourite night elven character. Plus your witty inserts have made me bust a gut a few times. Lol
I love Demon Hunters as well. Although i rerolled to a BM Hunter a few expacs ago cos they kinda nerfed it. DH in MoP Remix is insane though; feels like Legion all over again and made me realise I might be a bit of a stickler for Power Fantasy lol.

These are great for when im at work, iv gotten thru quite a few of the warcraft books, including arthus and war of the ancients. But i have a big back log of other books to get thru so its nice to have these to know if the book is worth haveing.
Thanks for this. I was always curious about this book, but have had bad experience with Warcraft book before (looking at you Knaak). Nice the book didn't change the context of Burning Crusade- It still had Illiidan as manic obsessive to the point he was not covering his flank. He was damned if he slowed down to "rule" Outland, and he was damned rushing forth to be ahead of the Legion's attacks. I was neat they added the Naruu visiting Illiidan. Gotta assume they did not everyone about his"destiny" cause he needed to die so they could (attempt) to to twist him to their side later. Maive remanded a believable zealot- putting her goals and racism before the needs of the people she was charged to protect.She is well written in her role, it is just painful how she is neither smart or has any curiosity in learning anything about anyone outside of her racist Night Elf bubble. Only thing missing was how Illidan had the skull of Guldan outside of his body. Would have been nice to have that burp scene. Also make one question if someone picked it up after wards for later plot. Or it it is like the One Ring and floated off to look for a new host. Going to have to read the full book now.
to be fair, archimonde is a demon, and the demons just kind of respawn, and at that point he hadn't been killed in alternate draenor because time shenanigans.
Ok the illidan impression is on point. Can we also address that illidan ends up facing down the burning legion and being a major player in the entire game because as a teen he was turned down by Tyrande? Literally this boils down to what a man will do when he has a broken heart
Somewhere there's a parallel universe where Illidan just Facebook-stalked Tyrande for a few months, joined the wrong subreddit and turned into an absolute tool
In that same universe, after yelling at an elf he held the door open for that didn’t give him her number, he shouted “YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!” And let it slam in her face
Or I missed some part of the video or everything that happened in Legion between Illidan and Sargeras never happened (I did get the part where he was spirit wandering in Argus ^^)? Like the big sword and Illidan tp'ing away with Sargeras ? Nevertheless amazing video :p
This book came out several months before Legion launched so it's only up to the end of BC. Otherwise they would've spoiled the ending of the next expac (at the time lol).

I adapt the books as they are (add a bit of humour obviously) but I don't even attempt to write the additional stuff into it cos... well it would be like the last few seasons of Game of Thrones if I did that.

Before going into more depth of Warcraft lore- I thought it was bad of Tyrande to have killed a bunch of Wardens to free Illidian. The reality is Maive put herself above her leaders and NE needs to rule her own little fiefdom with an iron fist. There is no reasoning with her.

didn't Illidan go to the frozen throne to fight arthas after he fought magtheridon and Kil jaeden appeared? Second campaign is blood elves and naga where illidan gets BT, third campaign is undead where they fight. This video/book has a gap it seems.
I had literally just done the Arthas book and couldn't be arsed to edit / reanimate the same fight again. So I glossed over it. I think the book does touch on it.
