I just got my pack a couple of weeks ago, and am sitting on a mountain of mods to make it even more screen accurate. As is, this thing is a GB fan's dream. A working, life size pack under a grand!
@jch00lig4n I know right?? I wish I was skilled enough to add the overheat smoke and paint it for wear and tear. Also bought a PKE Meter and radio since I made this video. Just need to finish my leg hose and get better boots!
@@imaginator85 I actually popped for the Haslabs 2 in the box last year! I cannot wait for those. I'm terrible at painting, but i'm gonna give it my all. I ordered the lights/wiring to make the want operate similar to my 84 wand, but I need to get started instead of just hoarding stuff lol
@Ms_Princess_Zelda Wish I was better at that kinda stuff! I have the artistic eye for it, just not the skill with the right tools. Haha. Do you work with props and such?
god it would be fun to make one of these from scratch. one thing i yearn for that no-one ever provides (understandably) is *recoil*. when the ghostbusters fire the proton guns, it's clear that there's a fair amount of 'oomph' that they experience. to be honest, this directly relates to the deflating sense of disappointment i experienced when i first played laser tag. despite great sound effects, the gun had no recoil, and the sensor you wore never thumped against your chest to indicate that you were hit. real life didn't live up to my imagination/expectations. as a grown-up with disposable income and technical expertise, this still bothers the shit out of me.
@comradecid BRO. If you ever figure it out, you gotta let me know! There was a laser tag game called Recoil a few years back that featured well...recoil by using haptics in the guns. It was pretty sick. Something like that on a neutrona wand would be AWESOME. I also love the overheat mist mod some people have on the bottom of the pack. Wish I was any kind of technically skilled to mod anything on it... 😄
Some people will put a rumble motor in the neutrona wand, And most packs built on GBfans use a car door stereo in the pack giving it a deep rumble and the umph you are looking for. These are mods you can add to a Spirit pack too, Hope that's helpful.
EmuVR question: when i play on the consoles in EmuVR on quest, my left joystick has moving forwards and backwards flipped, do you have any idea on how to change the controls?
@TomDiamond Oh wow I've never heard of that before! Maybe hit up the EmuVR wiki and see if the troubleshooting section can help? Or maybe it's some weird setting on the Quest itself?? 🤔

@jch00lig4n NO WAY! THATS EPIC. One day I'll upgrade to a Haslab pack with an Alice frame. One day...
@@imaginator85 I should have and I chickened out. I’m gonna post my mods as I go or try to.
Weathering is pretty cool. Loads of ways to do it. Feom what it looks like the Spirit Full sized pack appears dry brushed with silver

@@imaginator85 i build models and know a thjng or two about weathering & chipping and making models look realistic
i was lucky enough to buy a hasbro pack at the 400 price tag and its my favorite toy in the world.
@@berniedavis6676 DUDE whyyyy was I bot aware of it at the time! 😭😭
Awesome!
Imagine wearing that while in emuvr lol 13:12
I'm probably gonna buy the PSVR2 game soon. I should wear it while I play! 😄
I have all 3
(80%, Fullsize & Haslab)
No way! JEALOUS!!!

I don't like the peg to hold the wand on the 80%.
Yeah, the peg drives me nuts too. SOOO glad the Full-size has the V-hook!
