Wow! This is AMAZING! So sad I missed it but so happy it was made and released and in people's hands. Seriously, we must be in the golden age of 80s toy collecting. With inflation out of control and the price of everything going up, I don't know how much longer this ride will last, but I will enjoy it while I can. Again, congrats!

That is great it is shipping already. Does anyone else find it odd that Black Series Rancor still shows as "In Production" on the Haslab website even though it failed?. Skystryker in Spring. HISS and Deathsaurus in Fall

Proton pack wise, I’d call that a big Yes.
But Pke meter or trap wise, perhaps. We’ll just have to see later this year because the 4th film is set to release in December so they could do one or the other or both announced to coincide with the upcoming release of Ghostbusters “Firehouse”.
This is one of the best value project that ever came out of Haslab. Compared to other offerings out there, this is a good enough imitation for a great price. I'm not a big Ghostbusters fan but this is a must-have for any out there.

One more amazing, huge toy to fit into our already overcrowded collection rooms. I seriously don't know where folks are putting all this stuff! Sail Barge, Skystriker, Galactus, Razor Crest, Proton Pack!? How much will end up in garages, attics and storage lockers? I feel like the bubble is gonna pop and eBay will be flooded with thousands of these toys in a few years. Oh well, it's still an amazing time to collect.
I guess we'll just have to enjoy it while it lasts lol

As amazing as that would be I don’t think a whole lot of people would buy it simple because when it comes down to it, it’s 3 tanks on an Alice frame with a nozzle. And since something like that would have to be a haslab I don’t see the unlockable stages to be worth it either. In no specific order One of them would be the stand for definite and another would be a recolour of the slime and marshmallow but as the pink slime with some Polaroids of Zigo. I can see a container of slime or the toaster being a goal. And for the 4th goal I can really only think of a few GB 2 sticker sheets akin to the ones we got with the proton pack with another one of the guys’ journals like maybe Ray’s so we can see his side of things across the 3 films and it makes sense since he wore a slime blower. Some notes could be about between the films and his point of view on certain parts. How Ray saw the whole Egon taking off to fight Gozer alone and explain why he didn’t believe him.
Got my proton pack, but I'm having issues with it turning on. 😞 got a brand new set of D batteries and can't figure out why it's not switching on for the life of me
This was one of the best things I’ve ever bought. Agree that opening it was amazing.
My only small grip is I wish they had used stronger cardboard for the designed box. My plan was to sit the pack on top of it but that is not going to work. Actually thought about making a simple frame to sit in the box so I can use it.

I'm so glad that you're enjoying yours, Jay. Everything that you said in your video. I couldn't absolutely agree with you more, my friend. I myself am also enjoying mine, and it displays beautifully right next to my original Kenner Proton Pack from my childhood. I was sad that I had to miss out on the G.I. Joe Skystriker, because I decided to order a total of three Protonpacks instead to eventually mod into the hero packs seen in Ghostbusters 1 & 2 and to also keep one the original rusted afterlife version. Now that I finally got all three in hand and with three original, none orange tip neutrino wands to go with them. Got to say this was the greatest decision and purchase that I have ever made in my entire life. Who needs a Skystriker when you finally have a real childhood dream, come true for both me and you, my friend, in owning our very own Screen Accurate Proton Pack Replica's. Here is hopeing we get haslab afterlife versions of the P.K.E. Meter, Ghost Trap, and Ecto-Googles up next. Not to mention, I am still holding out hope that we will eventually get more Kenner Classics The Real Ghostbusters when the new film releases next year. What a great time to be alive and be a Ghostbuster fan. Busting sure makes me and all of us fans feel so good. Anyways, just some of my personal thoughts on the subject. Anyways, keep on making great videos. My friend and I will definitely keep watching. Until the next time, keep on busting my friends.
I had that Kenner Proton Pack as a kid too. Sadly mine is gone but have similar memories wearing it around lots.

With the 4th movie starring production in March and set to release in December this year (though I feel it’ll be delayed) it’s possible we can see either this year or 2024 we see the PKE meter or ghost trap announced as haslab projects. I already see some of the potential unlock stages like the pke stand could be a smaller proton pack stand and as for the trap It wouldn’t need a stand but instead of a stand they could make an RTV base for it to connect to.
Have any more Haslab projects been announced 🤔🤔

I'm sure all the people that build protran packs are hating on this because the pact came out for a price range of three hundred and something dollars or more while the ones they make are about 3,000 or more
I could care less about the mini-puft figures. I'm not a big fan of cutsie shit.
That being said, I would love to have a movie accurate proton pack. I've also wanted one since I was a child, but who has $400 to invest in a Haslab project? No one I know.
When I was a kid I wanted a Kenner pack, never got one. Later on in life I got a Spirit Pack, what a time that was, and I planned ot mode it, then the Spirit Pack came, and a childhood dream has bee realized.
In fact, I have that but it's not a proton pack, it's a vacuum cleaner that is used like a backpack but also works for ghost hunting.

The only downside with the packing is you can't redo the excitement of opening it for the first time. I attached an Alice frame. Very little modeling needed.

I don’t know how into mods I’ll get, but I love watching others!
I just wish the matty wand was adaptable. But there are 3D printed adapters being made for the wand to change the look to the original. My wife said I looked like a kid opening and putting on. The video says it all. Add in my matty goggles and poke and I was all over the house! Haslab, do those next and a trap!

Jay, it doesn't say Stranger Things anywhere on it, that tv show? brought Ghostbusters back way more than either of the later sequels did, as did the movie Be Kind Rewind
Why would Hasbro feel compelled to slap Stranger Things on this? Ghostbusters is a huge pop culture icon, it doesn't need to rely on the success of other TV series.

I haven't opened mine yet or ordered an ALICE frame. But does the pack fit on the stand with the ALICE frame attached?
Also, can you attach the stand to the wall in some way?
It should still fit fine with the alice frame, I checked if it could attach to the wall, but the way the pack sits on it, it wont quite work. You could get wall hooks that would work I think.

Truly an amazing time to be a Ghostbusters fan. I had the Kenner toys growing up but never did get the proton pack, so it was a no-brainer that I snag the Haslab one while I had the chance.
Absolutely love it! While not perfect, it gives us so much for the money. My modded Spirit Pack will go to my little one, but the Haslab looks beautiful along side the other Spirit stuff.
It's going to be fun adding my personal little touches to the pack, and can't wait to see what plug and play kits will be available down the line.

I love my hasbro pack! Except that the wand keeps disconnecting and shutting the pack off. I think that the gas mask hose is putting too much stress on the connection. But besides that it’s great!
I tightened mine up and the disconnecting stopped, for now at least lol
So that must be what was happening to mine. Have to check my connections.

Your enthusiasm for this matches my own, and I also thought it funny in one of your last shots to see the Kenobi saber and Hoverboard included in the shot--2 props I also own and adore! The ability to mod this pack is great, but out of the box it already is pretty near perfect and I would not have minded keeping it as is. Luckily I have funds to at least add an Alice frame for now and may tweak it over time. Just have to get a jumpsuit to go with it!
Hasbro really did us Ghostbusters fans good with this pack. I love it. Might do a couple small mods but there really isn’t anything that is needed. It is great right out of the box.
I bought three thinking my girls may be interested in them at some point. They don’t seem to be. So maybe I’ll do the whole ‘84 thing on one of those.

I backed the Haslab Cookie Monster, but this is an excellent consolation, lol. I got mine in this week and will be opening it today. So glad that I backed this and that we got it for $350 considering how much costs have spiked up since then. This might be the coolest thing in my collection now.
