The 3 Tie Clip/Bar Mistakes You Must Avoid

1. Tie Clip Length
I see this all the time, gents make sure the tie clip is proportional to your tie. Ideally, you only want the tie bar to cover 3/4th of your tie.
2. Tie Bar Placement
You want the tie clip to be placed between the 3rd and 4th button on your shirt.
3. Vest With A Tie Clip
Remember these two items serve the same purpose, to hold your tie in place. It's like suspenders with a belt 🤷

Advanced tip. The tie clip does not need to be put on the front of the tie at all - it can be hidden by inserting into the seam of the back of the tie, over the smaller part and into your shirt placket. Tie will not move, the clip will not move, and no one will see the clip at all.

I never really thought abt the clip with the vest but ur probably right

i can tell you from experinece that vest prevents it from going sideways but it always creates a bulge so it has a purpose even with a vest
