Awesome tutorial have several of these never knew what to do with them
Thank you for posting this. I was wondering if you could post about using the Y Cable you mentioned? I have an XFin cam that I wanna use (no service) and apparently if I don’t use wps (which I can’t get to work) I have to use a y cable. The cam has an Ethernet line that goes into a wall electrical outlet. I’m a bit confused as to how that y cable works. Help! Thanks in advance and the kittens are so adorable! K~
The problem with the y cable you would have to get past the UI lock even the get command that I tried using doesn't work to get past it so unfortunately I can't use the y cable if you can't get past the UI lock you can't use the y cable
keep them rolling
Which app we used to pairing this camera to phone
Is the icamera2 only and interior camera?
I ask because is appears as though one is on my network, but nobody in this house has/owns this type of camera… see where I’m going with this…?
Is there a different way to pair if I dont have a WPS button? My fiber modem is also my wifi but it lacks a wps button.
I'm not sure on that one check your settings on your modem and the firmware or the application that comes with it maybe on your smartphone some modems come with a smartphone application
What’s the Ethernet power cable that you are using? I only have the y cable.
The one I'm using is just not the Y cable but you can use either or doesn't matter to power the camera the Y cable is to program the camera if the user interface is not blocked you can access the firmware with the white cable on the camera through your router if the user interface is not blocked or accessible
Yes, but we also need to change id and password, otherwise, anybody can have an access to the cam if they wanted to. Also, we need to access all the other functions, but it still just gives error 404.
As long as your network is secured they can't access your camera unless they're on the same network as you are
Couldn’t you just look at your router internal interface to see connected devices ?
Yes you can and most routers can assign IP addresses too to each device to your router. Advanced ip scanner is a handy tool also
So you have to use a computer, can you use a tablet?
Sorry it took 3 weeks to respond to you yes there is a way you can use your tablet you have to download an app called IP camera view that version is allowed to have up to six cameras in order to put more you have to pay for the full version
Does anyone have a free app that I can use to connect my camera?
ispy
But how do you pair it with the touch screen. It does not work for me. It does not detect it.
I have the touch screen but I think the only way you can pair it with that system as with their equipment only other than that I do not know really know how I never tried it. I use blue iris to view my cameras on my computer through my local network on my router
@@djice49203 I use IP camera viewer to view it. But now I got newer cameras and trying to use that but I need an adapter.
What does it mean when the lights are flashing red?
If you're talking about the lights around the camera not the bottom that's the infrared light
