Hey wow thanks a bunch for this video. This remarkably FIXED my iCamera2...Was getting 404 page and couldnt log in. Your vid AND the extended text in your description not only restored my UI but i was ale to get in to my router by changing the login/pass via the direct commands.

Was given one of these cams (Firmware V3.0.02.35) from a former Xfinity user that was locked down and didn't have the stock dongle, but was able to get it hardwired to my router using a standard PoE splitter. The model I had sitting around was an old "AIR802 POEPASS-01 Passive PoE Injector/Splitter". After doing the factory reset it grabbed an IP and I was able to get the web ui working with the "/adm/enable_ui.cgi" command. Nice camera. Thanks fellas.

Not sure if you know this or not, but these sercomm based cameras also have a rooted backdoor in them.
Telnet, SSH, and other features are accessable... if you know the root / password credentials.
If you open the device up, there's also a serial port on the main board (not the one with the IRLED's and Cameras)
it runs at 115200 baud, iirc pinout 1 - 4 = [VCC, RX, TX, VSS] (probe first :p)
On the iCamera-1000 i had access to, the serial port was 5v tolerant if you wanted to power the device while using the serial port. However, it's important to note, that you shouldn't power the device through both PoE and the serial port..
Again, to gain access through the serial port, you need to know root credentials, however, quite a bit of internal information is revealed during bootup process, namely it's using u-boot, a Texas Instruments chipset, and the firmware (for the model i had access too) is using squashfs 3.1.
Because i haven't had the chance yet, someone else may beat me to it, but my next approach to gaining complete control of this camera is to pull the flash memory, and dump it, as well as reverse the ELF based CGI's used to see what all can be done through web commands.
Any luck with this? I was just trying to SSH into a camera but it looks like it's looking for a private key.

I currently rented a room in a house and the landlord has a sercomm xcamera2 set up in the living room facing the front door and on the outside of the house facing the driveway and front door. What does it mean when the red light is blinking? Is that the motion sensor? Is it recording everytime I pass in front of the camera? It makes me uneasy.
They might not be in use anymore. I have no clue what a red LED would be besides the IR light. If the IR light is flashing the camera could be off line. Here is all the info about the camera, good luck. fccid.io/P27ICAMERA2/User-Manual/User-manual-2410893

I have an iCamera2 which was used with a security system in my old house. it's now inmy new house and i want to set it up doing a live feed... but i don't know what the IP is. I've done a hard reset (20 seconds) and I've done the 3 sec wifi push and then pressed the wps on my router right away. i have a green solid light on the camera but when i look in my router software I can see it there but it's not connected. How can i get it connected. I don't have the dongle. :( do i need to find one? Or can I get it connected to my wifi with out it?
I have seen many of the icams that just wont connect. But you are doing right from what you wrote. If you dont see it in the list then it might be locked in to the security system. If you want a nice cheap camera with better picture quality and a remote viewing app try Amcrest.com All the cameras I use now are from them and they work great. Sorry I wasn't much help.. GL

Was successful in getting just 1 of 7 (formerly Iris by Lowe's Indoor/Outdoor Camera) SerComm OC-810 cameras to work wireless, but cannot get any others to load the cam's memory with wireless network data to be able to connect wireless when Ethernet dongle is pulled. The one cam can be viewed through Blue Iris as before, when configured on the (no longer in existence ) Iris by Lowe's smart home system. When pressing the button (no third light), and then the WPS button on router, the light on router blinks orange (request to connect) but then blinks red (fail to connect). Does not go green to connect and transfer network data to cam.
I see a string to set the WiFi SSID. Do you know the string for setting the WiFi password?
I used the command line to enable the user interface, and was asked for the user name and password. Entered "Adminstrator" left the password blank, and got a "OK" in response. But when I try to login to the user interface, by typing the icamera2's network address, I keep getting OK in response. It is not giving me an opportunity to log in as administrator. What did I do wrong?
You removed the command at the end of the IP address after you got the ok right? You could try clearing the cache and cookies then just try the IP again. The unit will stay unlocked until you reboot it.

Camera only works wired LAN but can't access the Home Page, keep getting "404 - Not Found". Tried Resetting it, found it's IP Address, Reserved it's DHCP in my Router but doesn't even show up however, Green Indicator Lights Blink but no Picture. Wired, can see Picture but have to use the Y Adapter always. Looked at the Manual (read it yourselves, I never saw anything as such!) but again, it's connected to my LAN, but can't access Web UI. Any Suggestions?
some people had luck unlocking the camera with a different web browser. Try IE or firefox when you are adding the unlock code to the end of the IP address.
@@Ricks_Tech_Talk You mean, at the end of the IP Address, not the Port but the Pin Code on the back of the iCamera?
NO you enter the IP in the address bar with this at the end /adm/enable_ui.cgi so looks like this 192.168.0.125/adm/enable_ui.cgi the IP number will be differnet for you. on the command that you use to see camera image when it the screen pops up with the view of the camera in the top left it shows administrator settings and you can change everything in there instead of doing all the commands one by one.
Is it possible to connect to camera without using a laptop at all and just using a phone with also being able to view the camera and record when there is motion?
Hi, I have the iCamera-1000 provided by Xfinity. I do not have the white dongle, only the black one. It does not seem that I can even get the camera reset. When I power it up and let sit long enough to boot I hold the reset button down for 20 seconds. It appears to reboot and all three lights flash on / off then the middle light flashes and the left one flashes a couple times. That is it, the middle light continues to flash. I never see the left and middle lights lit up like in the beginning of your video. Any ideas?
Idk if you still are helping people but I'm trying to hook my icam2 up to the panaoramic modem/router . Idk if this will interfere. I got 1 cam to work on accident trying to mess around with setting the ip addresses differently trying to get into it . I got tiny cam to pick it up while the y wire was connected to the camera trying to get it to work . It finally did I guess hardwired . I took it off thinking I knew exactly what to do and losing the 1 cam in the process so I'm back to the beginning now seeing your video I've been locked out . I'm wanting to ask you does it matter if I'm doing this from my cell phone or do I have to have a PC. I cant even get anything except a 404 error on the ip addresses I set for the camaras while i had them linked to the y . I actually prefer wireless so I did the bringing step immedently . Keep them under specific ip addresses . Then reprogram it through the internet . Using those commands in order . It will let me see the page you had pulled up with all the different tools . Do you know if this even still works ??
When you go wireless with the camera it might get a different IP address then when it was hardwired. Im going to be making a new video but using the Xcams because they are newer and have HD
So I am having trouble with the Icamera2-c with it being outside and it being night. Everytime it gets dark it constantly just crashes and just keeps restarting. If i turn on the light outside by it will turn back on and work fine. Not sure why it is don't this looking for guidance as far as a setting that will fix this.
Thank you everything works, the only problem is that I can't change the setting form static ip. (im going to need the push command for that feature) every now and then my cam ip changes and i t makes me go to my router to find the new ip then change the settings to my IP cam app that im using to see my cams away.
So basically I need the push command for the STATIC IP feature of the camera administration

You need to have port forwarding turned on in your router. Set a port for the IP address of the camera and it should work. Or use a PC as a server and have it run iSpy or other free software. Then when you are gone you connect to the server using iSpy and that can manage all your cameras. BlueIris is another camera software you can check out.
I am not seeing any questions like the one I need help with. I have an NAS , and would like to record to that, where would I go inside of the GUI to set up and to record to the NAS. Also the triggers page on mine is not able to access or make changes to for recording those things either. - Thanks.

1. Have any of you used the Sercomm OC432 model yet with Blue Iris or Ispy?
2. I have several Icamera2's I am using right now with Blue Iris, but I need one more. I am concerned that if i order one randomly off ebay I will get a locked out firmware version, and not be able to set them up on WIFI.
And I am not sure there is anything I can even ask the seller to check for me.
This video doesn't really address WIFI setup passwords.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

I have Cox Communications security which is called Homelife. I currently have 4 of the Sercomm icamera2's on the system. I wanted to add two more cameras to the system. You can have a max of six cameras on the homelife system. I found 5 cameras for sale on Craigslist. they all work as far as power up, connect to my network and i can see video on them using the /img/video.mjpeg command. The cameras are operational and the problem is they will not pair up with the cox touchscreen. I originally added and installed my first four cameras so i am familiar with the set up. That's why i was shocked when none of these 5 would pair up. I had a tech come out with a new camera and the camera off his truck paired up right away. The only difference i see in these cameras is the firmware version. the five that i bought all have V3.0.02.38. My existing four cameras and the technicians camera are running on V3.0.01.34. So to me it looks like the firmware on the five i bought is more recent than what is on the working cameras. My hope was to retrieve the lower version off a working camera using the /adm/flash_dumper.cgi command and then rollback the firmware on the Craigslist 5 using the /adm/upgrade.cgi command. Or better yet using the software which has a firmware upgrade tab, from what i can see in the picture. That's why i was asking you if the flash.dumper command worked on your cameras. i think it may be a bad command. Sercomm does not offer any customer support or drivers, software or firmware versions to the public. I may be stuck with the 5 cameras....
I spoke with Level 2 support at Cox and he did mention a whitelist and a
blacklist. He thought the firmware my be too old for it to be
recognized my the touchscreen. I don't think that's the case. I will
check to see if they say ADT or Comcast anywhere using the Get commands.
This is turning out to be more work that i thought it would be but
i'm determined to get them to pair up on my system one way or
another....
Jim B - Thank you for the command to get to the user interface. I thought i would never get to this point. Did you use the command /adm/flash_dumper.cgi to save the file? When i did this it showed the file was 132MB. Seems like a large file for firmware. Where did you get the firmware files? Am i correct in assuming i can take the firmware file from a working camera and install it on a camera with a non working firmware? V3.0.01.34 in place of V3.0.02.38.
I have tried using the API GET command from Terence's Blog /adm/flash_dumper.cgi I was not able to get this file. I keep getting the 404 page not found error whenever i try using that command The cameras i have all have firmware.V3.0.02.38. They do appear to be iCamera2-C. My hope was to put the older firmware V3.0.01.34 on the cameras to see if i can get them to be found using my security system touchscreen keypad. Will this work on the oc835 -adt ip camera. My issue is that all my camera's are mounted outside and are hardwired for power through the attic. So I can't plugin directly to router. I reset the camera like you mentioned. I tried engaging the wps on one camera went to my router(Arris) and engaged it there the wps light blinks and shuts off . I am having trouble discovering the IP. Any suggestions would be helpful
Tech Talk I got into the Xfinity router and it doesn't show any new connected devices... As a matter of fact I downloaded the Xfinity app so I could be alerted of a new connection while doing the Wps @ the camera first and and at the router second... No detection of the device being connected
I am having trouble connected my icamera2 to my wifi. I have reset by holding the button on the back for 20 seconds. Then held it again for 3-5 seconds, got the flashing light, pressed the WPS button on my router and it is not connecting. Also I imagine thats why i am having trouble find the device on my client list page on my routers page. Please help I would really like to use this camera.

I tried using some of your codes in this video to disable the LED light on the camera but all I got was error messages. Do you have these somewhere to copy and paste in case I am typing them incorrectly
Are you trying to turn off the red LEDs? they are sometimes stuck on from a firmware ver they push and sometimes can not be turned off. But make sure you don't have the camera in night mode all the time. Forget the command lines and use the unlock code to access the web interface. This goes after the IP address /adm/enable_ui.cgi Then you should get a OK. After that try the IP address again without that line and you should be into the web interface.
So I got the point where I could see the video..created user and password but when I tried to use them it keeps giving an error that your connection to this site is not private..please help ?

I am trying to find the UI login etc for the Sercomm RC-4030. Some of the commands you list here for the other models but not all work.

None of the commands work. I have reset this camera several times and have been able to connect it to the network using the WPS button. nothing else seems to work.
I got it to work with an app called viewer for IP cameras connecting it directly to my modem but not I'm trying to figure out how to view them without my phone being connected to wifi I wanna be able to step out the house and view with my regular cellular data

I don't have the dongle and this camera won't connect to wps. I reset the camera then pressed the button for 3 seconds and that fat right light started to blink then I pressed the wps on the router and nothing happens. Am I missing something? How do I get the ip address to log into the camera?

When I am on the IE putting the Icamera1000 in works but when trying to look with BI I get error code 8000274d refused; check ip address and port. I have other cameras working fine with Icamera1000 and Icamera2. any suggestions? thanks

When adding a camera to ip camera viewer it keeps putting port at the end of the IP and does not add camera. Can you give advise on that or make video on how to add camera?

i was able to get it on hardwired/ethernet by doing the wireless process on this video then /adm/set_group.cgi?group=WIRELSS&auto_switch_lan_wlan=0 then turning off router's wifi/ however don't have access to Camera, router Show's camera offline.

I have an iCamera 1000, and have the ip address and pull up the log in screen but when I type administrator and leave the password blank it will not let me log in. I have tried to reset the camera multiple times, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
it's been bricked. Mine did the same thing. Factory resetting won't work, the firmware creates a password of random numbers and letters, thus locking out the interface, and bricking the device.
I scored 2 more Icamera2-C 's from ebay.. only $54 each. i was told they have firmware 3.0.01.32.. so hoping they have the admin console enabled once i do a factory reset on them.. I still cannot find a better indoor/outdoor/night wifi camera for the money that these icamera 2's cost.

I managed to get access to my cameras web UI. This is what I did. I entered my cameras IP address followed by this command /adm/enable_ui.cgi in my web browser (192.168.0.20/adm/enable_ui.cgi). After a few seconds, I was prompted for the cameras username and password. After I entered the username and password, i waited for the "OK" prompt on my browser. I then typed in my cameras ip address 192.168.0.20 and my cameras web UI appeared.

It looks like you have to run this command to enable the administration menu every time you try to access the camera.
This applies to any camera that was modified by a vendor such as Comcast, ADT, Rogers (for canadians), etc.

I just canceled my home security and want to use my camera I got with Xfinity. I have tried all the steps in this feed but nothing seems to work. I cant seem to connect to the cameras using the IP address. keep getting error not found. even tried the /adm/enable_ui.cgi and it still doesn't work... can anyone help me

Sorry i accidentally replied using my kids username. I didn't realize he had logged me out. Can you try the firmware command and see if you can get to it? Is it a bad command or is it that it just wont worked with the newer firmware camera?
Have you found any similar camera to the Icamera2? I find this model to be the best cost/performance camera available. I like it because I can mount outside a window and use a flat ethernet cable, and just close the window on it without having to drill anything. Problem is that Sercomm only makes them for Alarm companies, and now locking out firmware. I see a bunch of this Sercomm OC432 model out there but not sure if i can get into that firmware to work with Bue Iris either.
I wish i could find a supported camera with very similar hardware/features as the icamera2 where i can actually buy and not have to worry about getting locked out of the firmware.
Are you not using the rubber cap that comes with the camera to go around the cord/ethernet plug? is that not enough?

I was given I new xcam ew3 (latest XHS cam) never open with factory firmware. I have everything configured even the WiFi but wouldn't connect to WiFi. Site survey option in gui page shows up black but able to manually add the gateway with no connections. GUI PAGE is the same as the icamera 1000 and Icam2. With the exception XHC1-SE. I need a update to the WiFi fix.
Tech Talk it won't connect with the wps button. I hard reset the power adapter. Also reset to default in the GUI. I tried the commands as well in the web browser. Funny thing I was able to get it to work hardwired to the router but it won't auto day and night. The other xcam I have I was able to work but it has a newer firmware. I even tried to clone it to no avail.
When I used to install xhs a lot of xcams had a little bit of a higher failure rate. Until we called naser to do a forced firmware update.
Tech Talk I longer have access to XHS system or work there anymore. I was searching online but no update files for this xcam. Are you able to copy a firmware file from a camera or find a source? I have a mix of icamera 1000, 1camera2 and xcam's 11 out of 12 XHS camera's working
I can’t find the reset button? By the way at times my camera displays 2 red lights in the one on each side next to the lens.

Connecting to iCamera2
I tried getting into my iCamera2 with the method presented here but was unable to do so.

5) I got into my router (ARRIS Model: BGW210-700) web interface and went to WPS setup (Home Network>WIFI).
6) I entering the WPS PIN from the label on my camera.
7) I clicked the “Submit to Home SSID” button.
8) I pressed and held the reset/WPS button for about 5 seconds.
9) I waited until the leds stabilized.
10) I checked for connected devices in my router. The camera never appeared.

1) I noticed on my cell phone and laptop that iCamera2 appears as an available unsecured WIFI network.
2) I selected it and was able to connect.
3) Ipconfig tells me the following:
Ipv4 Address = 192.168.1.11
Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway = 192.168.1.1
4) I opened a browser and entered 192.168.1.1/adm/enable_ui.cgi.
5) I got OK response.
6) I entered 192.168.1.1 in browser.
7) I got iCamera2 login prompt.
8) I entered administrator as username and pressed return (no password) and got in to iCamera2 web interface.
9) I clicked View Video.
10) I clicked cancel to Quicktime prompt.
11) I chose FlashPlayer from pull-down.
12) I had to enable/allow flash at that point and then video appeared.
13) From that point on, I was able to navigate through iCamera2 web interface.
1) I am surprised by the IP 192.168.1.1 access to iCamera2 web interface and IP 192.168.1.11 assigned to my laptop when laptop connects.
2) Camera seems to be acting like a DHCP server with only 3 addresses (web interface, camera, and laptop.

When you got into the camera and thats odd you got in the way you did, go to the network tab and tell the camera to connect to your wifi. It should drop the connection and join the SSID you told it to join.
Will this process work with the newer version camera (Xfinity xcam)
Yes. But depends on how new I guess. I had Xfinity Home 2018-2019 and it works. The only caveat is that you need to use WPS+Pin which is on the camera.
Hi. I have a icamera2 that i'm trying to access. Whenever i copy and paste the commands after the ip address as you stated. It gives me a pop up window asking for username and password for authentication. I tried admin and administrator for the username and left the password blank but it doesn't work. How can I connect it to wifi if I have a mesh network that does not support WPS ? when connected through LAN I can access the UI and when I try to put in the network SSID and password I keep getting an error alert but I'm 1000% sure I'm typing the password correctly and SSID was discovered by the camera using the survey tool .... is there any other way to connect this thing to WIFI other than WPS? is there a way to connect through API?
Try using Internet Explorer to change the settings. Other then that I have nothing for you to try. That camera is getting old and outdated. GL

I tried all of this and it shows that the camera is connected. I used my IP address and the command /adm/enable_ui.cgi, but it asks me for a username and password. I've tried Admin and Administrator combos with upper and lower case, password and blank and still nothing.
I forget where I saw it, but the camera sometimes will "phone home" and update the username/password when powered on (even after a reset). I had to go into my router and block that device from accessing the internet so it can't phone home. If you don't have the option to block internet access, you can unplug the WAN port of your router. Once internet access is blocked, you will be able to get into the camera using "administrator / "
How do you get the IP address?
Admin and password logins do not work on the icamera 1000 units I have here.
In the last 5 years if the camera was hooked up to the internet it could have downloaded new firmware changing the password. Username was administrator all lower case and password was blank. Also try doing it in Firefox and IE sometimes it will not work in chrome. GL

All routers or gateways have a way to log into them, look for a option that shows connected devices.

hi i got the camera on with wired method but can not get them connected using WIFI, can someone please help. I did follow every single transaction on this video, restarting the camera, pushing the button then pushing WPS on the modem and no go, my modem is bell hub 3000, anything special about that I dont know perhaps ?
If you have it hardwired you can then login to the camera and setup the SSID for the wif, have you tried that yet?
