Thank you! This worked for two that I bought off of E-Bay. Had to reset one of them a few times but got it to work.
+Jason Willan great. I'm glad it worked. It's always better when you can do it yourself and don't have to pay.
Good looking bro.... helped me out tremendously!!!!
Any idea how to do this with the white one it has ethernet cable as power
Thank you for the information. Very helpful!

If you purchase a camera online (not from xfinity/comcast) it will NOT be covered by the Xfinity Home Limited Warranty, if that camera need to be serviced, it's become out of date or inoperable due to firmware update you will need to purchase a new camera. Just something to keep in mind if you purchase 2nd hand, i.e. from ebay. etc. The cable splitter ion the other hand should be easy enough to find if you need one for the model of camera
Also if you're factory resetting as he did (4:10), you'll want to do the same for the pinhole on the power adapter as well, hold down the button for at least 45 seconds, this will ensure you're factory resetting the camera completely and cause it to download/install the latest firmware.
At 6:40 when he walks you through pairing the camera, you would not use your PIN to get into settings. You would use the Technician's code to get into the settings needed to access Add, Delete and Edit functions. You can acquire this code via the Chat feature within either the Xfinity Home app, of Xfinity app (these codes change peridocially for security puproses).
Good information. I have the white Xcam that gave me some trouble after watching this but it was a great place to start. Finally, I got it to work. Wouldn't have done it with starting here. Thanks Again.
I am trying to do my white one. Would love to know how you did it.
Yea same here white cam won't pop up on touch screen after resetting any ideas 😒?
@@jengilliam52 I had to hard reset the camera.
@@mzoidis89 I had to hard reset the camera a couple times
Good Job. Thanks!
Good work my dude
BROOKLYN BULLY thank you bro. I appreciate it. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe.

+Eric Blaydes keep that money in your pocket. Glad I could help. Peace!
You just saved me $150 thanks man
Awesome. Happy holidays to you. Places be a lifetime subscriber to my channel in return if you could I promise one day I’ll make something else that will be of use to you. Maybe even a tutorial on how to add an XFINITY thermostat so you can control your heat threw the phone app and program it using the calendar in you account. Hmmm.
Works great, thank you.

Say chief I'm not with comcast anymore but I still have the cameras an I just bought a technicolor tca203 an I got at&t internet I was wondering if I could hook it all up and use it.
I had reset it before I connected it to my modem and the touchpad wouldn't find it. I reset it again while it was connected to the modem and plugged in, and then it worked! thank you!!
Dove Paradise your welcome. Glad I could be of some assistance.
Thank u I just installed my old camera from previous service that I kept. So glad I can still use it after all I paid for it 😉
Tiara Silky Jones Your welcome. Glad I could help. That exactly why I made this tutorial. Awesome.
Very informative. Good Job!!!!!!
Mark Crosby thank you.
Hi I just finished watching your video I have a few questions I have four cameras like the one your showing in the video I stop doing business with Comcast but kept the equipment and the little computer that you have is there anyway to reconnect the cameras onto a different security surveillance system that I have or how can I reconnect the four cameras again using the Comcast computer monitor that was given to me originally thanks
If you don’t have the service anymore as far as i know it’s not going to work. I have heard the cameras can be used with another company but i dint know what company or weather or not a service package is necessary.
Comcast, Spectrum, and ADT have up to this point used this system. I also imagine you can use these as IP cameras, just haven't had a need to try that yet.
Will this work with the XFINITY home 300? I don't have the XFINITY home 350.
what's the name of the black cable you connected at the end?
I would like to see how you install the camera in the back of your house
thanks
Just got two of the XCams that Comcast uses for their security system and I do appreciate your tutorial! My tech gave me the same instruction as you did to pair the camera's when I get them which was yesterday, and both will be mounted outside the house. I wanted to know if you have a link for the camera you used in the video? I'd like to get a couple of those to maybe place in my foyer and another in my basement and being black with a nice stand, they would be perfect for this application. Knowing that what you have works well with the Xfinity system, I'd like to be able to just go directly and grab one or two and be done with it. Thanks!
Thank you for watching my video. Im glad I could be of some assistance. At least I know I am giving out correct information.
Here is a link to the cameras I used so you can purchase yours and get up and running.

Thanks again and don't forget to please subscribe to my channel.
Looks like it's on back order but I'll check periodically for availability. Again, appreciate your video and reply!
J Dixon that sucks. Try e bay. You might be able to get a deal on a used one. I purchased a few on there. Make sure they have all the parts and you verify it's in working condition though. Thanks again and good luck.
Well I followed your directions and all went well. Had to go back a couple of times on each camera to get it to be recognized but ultimately it worked. Both cams up and running, named and I've boxed them back up until I can get them placed where I want them. I ended up putting the cams to sleep as not to have or show a trouble code but overall I'm good and do appreciate your help on this again. I just got the Xfinity/Comcast system this past November and really like it and being able to arm/disarm from my cellphone as well as monitor the cams on it as well.
Wifey thinks cams inside are overkill which is why I wanted one like you have in the video. Just wanted something centrally located in the pad to capture the main area of movement.
Thanks again!
How do you pair it if you have a different modem other then xfinity but works with xfinity I have the touch screen and five cameras all hook up but need to pair with my netgear modem
Thank you!!
Your welcome. thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
A-Dubb Productions Allan Wade no doubt! I had even had comcast home security on the phone trying to help. Your tip about holding the reset button for like a minute was what I needed. Very informative video!
Thanks!
Thanks bruh
No problem. Thank you for watching.
Enjoyed the video! After you paired the camera and put it out near your garage, that camera still needed a power source correct?
Chris Dennis yes. Correct.
Thank you!
Would like to ask, my touchpad is currently wired to the router. But if I disconnect the lan cable, it doesn't connect to its router via wifi.
Is this something that is manually setup? I am thinking this touchpad will only accept one connectivity at a time. Either wired or wireless.
Greetings fella I happen to have a question. I am getting rid of the security portion of my bundle but I get to keep everything besides the tablet looking thing, is there anyway to continue to use the camera since I'll have the router thing via my computer or an application on a phone or something?. My apologies if you simply don't have this information I will be continuing to look around anyways.
Dasvidanya give me a minute. I'll try to find out for you. I don't work for the company but I know people that do. I'll ask. One moment.
+Dasvidanya so I was told the answer is no because the touchscreen is the brains of the system. However I do think personally there are other systems that your cameras work with but if all else fails just sell the parts on e bay if you have no use for them.
+Dasvidanya don't forget to subscribe.
I will continue to search for alternatives, the information you provided regardless is greatly appreciated.
Dasvidanya yes, there has to be something closed circuit that you can do to get everything working without the touchpad. Wish I could help further. Thanks for watching.
will these work with a poe switch? i hate using outlets all over the place.
I recently switched home internet, etc service. Comcast had me return the touch screen with which I could see my front door with my security camera, however, they did not want my camera back. Do you know of any way that I can still use my camera and view my door with a different tablet/screen?? Thank you so much for any info!!
+Sandra Bishop Someone else asked this question. No, as far as I know the touchscreen is the brains of the system and there is no way the system will function without it. I don't know any other way to be able to view the camera.
A-Dubb Productions hey I have 3 camera from xfinity do you know what other Monitor brand I can get to connect with them .
Try. "Eye spy" or I spy
24/7 is 9.95 per cam per month, and it requires a Icam2 or xCAm. and that looks to be an icamera1/1000 that you have there based on what the TS is showing.
Thank you. Yes I discovered I do have the older cameras. Thank you for your information. Very much appreciated.
is adt pulse icamera 1000 compatible with xfinity home?
How can you unpair a device or delete it from your zone list . It asks for phrase when I try to unpair a sensor? Thanks for the help
Two years later ur vid save my ass
Lol awesome. Glad it helped. Lol. Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. God I could help out and thanks for watching.
Is it okay if the camera is outside while I’m trying to pair it??? Or will it not pair if it’s outside? I’m having trouble with pairing it for some reason...
Where can I get that "Connector" cable with tow leads coming out (Power & Ethernet)? I will try an search eBAY, etc., but if have a direct link, that will be very helpful. Regards & Thanks
Hey, Here is a link to the splitter. Thanks
Ill post the link in the description also. I should have a long time ago. Thanks again.

How to add more then 1 camera,I have 4 will I have to do each of them?
Anyone else have connectivity issues? I am wondering if a mesh system would help like google mesh or xfi pods. Or, a network extender for much cheaper that has a different ssid?
I have a camera rc8021, how to pair this camera...
Do you know how I can use Xfinity cameras without using the Xfinity service
Yes you can use it as they are IP cameras, go to the IP address of the camera and viola. If you want to access the administrator page where you can adjust video quality, etc., login using the default username: administrator and password: leave it blank. The camera is shit quality and I would point anyone in the direction of Wyze Camera's for $20 you can't beat the quality for the price. Hell they even have a Pan/Tilt camera for 30.
I followed your directions and reset the cam and connected it. The video quality is very poor. I'm guessing it's an old camera that got damaged during shipping or storage prior to me receiving. Do I need to contact Xfinity? Wondering if there is a setting they need to change on their end.
No the blurriness of the camera is not a setting, it is the camera, blurry cameras is why we prefer you have a technician come out and purchase from us as anything goes wrong we will replace the camera.
I have two cameras that were left outside of my house i just bought and I want to hook them up... I have a xfinity modem.... how can I get them to work?
I have ip camera how hard it is to install it?
that camera is weather proof with the Ethernet jack connection exposed like that?
No. You need a rubber piece that XFINITY sometimes provides with the camera. It attaches to the back of the camera and goes over top of the portion where the camera and the Ethernet connect. You might have to specifically request it. They don’t come with them all the time.
After you enter the camera name, you hit verify camera but ignore the instructions to disconnect the ethernet cable first. I get to this step, I hit accept and then can see the picture of the video like you did, but when I disconnect the ethernet cable and plug it into just power, the camera picture doesn't show anymore. Am I the only one who had this problem? I'm using the same camera and I think the same touchscreen as you.
I purchased a surveillance system from eBay , I don’t have service anymore with Xfinity but still have cameras installed and just want to be able to view outside where cameras are installed, how can I use without Xfinity service?
I canceled my service with xfinity is there a way I can use these 3 camera I paid for without the xfinity TouchPad??? please let me know
Hisham Ghali I was told that you can't use the cameras without the touchpad. The touchpad is the brains of the system. I do know that the those I cameras work with other alarm companies but I'm not sure if and closed circuit system can use them. I am sure that you would have to purchase some more hardware to get a system functioning. If you can't figure anything out maybe you can sell them used on e bay to recouped some of your money. Thanks for watching the video and subscribing to. I appreciate it.
Thank you good sir.
what power plug did u use
mike feliciano the power cable that comes with the camera. I'm not at home at the moment so I can't tell you the exact cable voltage or any further info on it other than it comes with the camera.
Don't forget to subscribe. I have a how to use/set up XFINITY voice to go coming up soon.
thanx fam
mike feliciano no problem.
it can be used via wifi?
Ernest Lawson technically yes but I think your asking whether or not it has to be connected to anything. After sinking the camera you can move it to any location you wish but it has to be plugged into a power source.
A-Dubb Productions thanks. I want to get one but don't want to drill holes in walls to connect to Ethernet. I want to hook the camera outside. I have a power source close to the camera
Ernest Lawson you only have to use the Ethernet to sync it. Once it's synced it only has to be connected to a power source. So you would have to drill threw the wall to have it connected to a power source.
There are other wi-fi cameras that work wirelessly with this system I haven't explored them yet though.
The code has been changed. How do we access without the tech code??
It's 60 seconds for a factory reset(unpairing)
What if you have a newer router with only 2 ethernet ports? Update(answering my own question): I think you plug it into port 2.
Port 2 then what next ??
@@expertopinion8111 sorry, I have no idea. We never ended up using this.
My Xfinity "ipad" thing isn't finding my camera, I did a reset, plugged it in, everything, not finding it...any ideas?
Hi I see that multiple people have asked if they can use their cameras if they do not have xfinity services anymore & you said no because the touchscreen is the brain.... Do you know if I could purchase just the touchscreen? & connect it to wifi and use my cameras & app?
Lovely Lissie hey. Good question i don’t think you can because the touchscreen and app are made exclusively for the XFINITY home system. The app is even called XFINITY home. So if you don’t have the service you can’t log in with your XFINITY username and password to access your cameras and app info your xfinity WiFi is what carries your camera’s video to the internet into the app to make it work. I don’t know if any third party app that can do it and bypass having xfinity home. So to answer no. To my knowledge you can’t.
A-Dubb Productions UGH thanks so much for responding so quickly. It's just frustrating because at the time of purchase they explained that the cameras can be used even if we decide to not be with Xfinity anymore & now I'm just stuck with 6 cameras 😩
Lovely Lissie really? Call them and ask them how and with what system. I’d like to know that one so i can tell people. All else fails your not stuck with the cameras. There is a market for them. Sell them in e bay or amazon. That’s where i purchased my extra cameras from. Let me know if you find out anything. I’ll do the same.
A-Dubb Productions Sorry for the delayed response..I didn’t get notified that you responded until I just checked to see if you responded lol.. I’ll call today after work and let you know what info I find out.. ALSO how much do you think I could sell mine for if they give me the run around ??!
Hey, no worries. I think you can sell them for at least $70 each.
How do I reconnect the Internet to it?
Latonya Sharp The internet to the camera? The camera doesn’t get the internet. The camera’s feed goes to the wireless router wirelessly and puts the footage online so you can see it.
I don't have Xfinity anymore but I have two cameras how can I use them
Chris feldott I’m really not sure I have been told that they work with other systems. I really don’t think you can use them with anything by themselves though.
Sell them to me! I been looking for 2.
Can you buy the control box yourself so you don't have to use pay cable co a fee every month. The alarm will scare off anyone who opens a door and we have bing outside to notify police of a break in. I would just rather use my door alarms I already have purchased and are already installed from Comcast infinity and use the ones from bing for other windows.
Alright, alright, alrighttttt!!! lol
Ashlee Mitchell alright alright alriggghhhht. Thanks for watching. Lol don’t forget to subscribe. please. And thank. You.
alright, alright, alright.
Wats tablet called ?
We highly recommend you let a technician do this, i get loads of calls because people mess this up and have to pay for a tech visit.
+Tony Woods Thanks but mine works fine. Nothing wrong with trying to do it yourself. Call a technician and you gotta pay, mess it up and still gotta call a technician and pay. What’s the difference? Appreciate your concern.
Tony Woods lol of course Comcast employee will say this lol
I don’t have Comcast security as of this week, can i still use my cameras?
U want to sell
This thing is long gone.
Ithernet? 😂
Ethernet.
Camera SUCKS! It's completely useless at night.
