I use this in conjunction with a CHORD MOJO via optical, then on to my amp. Awesome upgrade to my system, and a million times better than HEOS built into my Denon AV Amp
I know what a streamer is. My smartphone is a hardware streamer. An audio, video and game streamer, by the way. The questions that I can't find the answers, nowhere, are: why do I need another one? Doesn't a DAC do the job better? (somewhere else is said the internal DAC of this is not that great). Does it allows me to stream music with my mobile phone in silence or 'miles' away? Does is streams UA-cam Music? Does it streams the sound of UA-cam videos, unlike Alexas' Echos? Is there any delay? And gaming? Speaking about Alexa, doest it allow voice commands through Echos' to play UA-cam whatever, on the HiFi stereo?
Got one of these it’s been amazing I use Apple Music but now I’ve just ordered a Topping D30 Dac as one came up hopefully it will make it even better thanks for the video 👍🏻🇬🇧
I wish it had RCA outs, that would be perfect for my setup. I'm going to use S/PDIF on AMP for projector, so unfortunately this device won't support my setup :| Or would it be the same quality, if I've used Aux to connect to my Class D AMP?
Thank you for this overview. I am a simple guy and kind of slow with all things electronics. Here's my question: I have a pair of Sonos Ones and a Sonos Sub Mini, and I use AirPlay 2 (not the Sonos app) to stream music and podcasts. *All I want to do is add my home stereo setup to AirPlay so that I can have synced whole-house audio.* Will this device (or the Pro) get me there? Thanks.
Exactly my thoughts. The cheap audio guy claims that he can't think of a better app for any streamer under 500 and as good as streamers costing up to 1000. Purely talking about the app though.
It’s fantastic. But it does not support Apple Music natively, just via airplay, which limits max resolution. I use mine with Amazon Music and now can take full advantage of my high-rez receiver’s capabilities, and my speakers have never sounded better. Inexpensive game changer and future-proofer for music lovers 👍👍

I was the one who asked what is a music streamer in your previous video. Thanks for adapting to the comments and telling us what it does first!

Just bought one good job for money handy and easy to work
How does Wiim dac compare to iPhone 10 dac since I do not have an external dac?
Curious to hear from someone as to how good its own DAC performs.
Does it sound better with a linear power supply ? Try Tidal on it
Im considering this just based on the app

It is great to hear how much you enjoy the device, especially with Amazon Music.
Does it support apple airplay 1 or 2 ?
This is a great review. Thanks for the effort. Did the 24/192 work on this setup?
Yes it did
I love my mini….
