I'm about 8 to 10 hours in to Odyssey so far and I love it. If you liked origins it's basically a much more upgraded version. Origins and Odyssey are both great games
like me, from a technical perspective Origins really was the best, but my fav personal AC ever was Black Flag. It almost looks like a blend of the two, especially when the devs said it "practically is a blend of Origins & Black Flag." definitely gonna pick this one up, too bad Ubisoft won't see sales like Origins since they stupidly went up against the two BIGGEST juggernauts in video games; a Call of Duty game & a R* game.
I currently own all AC but Odyssey yet I'm only half way through black flag. I have hundreds of dollars worth of backlogged games I need to get to but I work 50hrs weekly. Gamecross keeps me updated on the newest psn deals and online sales. I can't stop buying games though lol
@@sylents8005 Haha I bought most at a steep discount around 75% off so it wasn't too bad. I enjoyed Desmond's story in the beginning and the backstory of the advanced civilization that fell.
this actually makes me so happy!! especially because black flag and origins are in the top three ac games (in my opinion) so i'm really looking forward to playing it tomorrow
A perfectly times dodge also slows down time for a short moment and allows you to quickly get in some hits, so dodging is also useful, if done right. Parrying is mostly better against enemies with a shield tho, if you don't have the shieldbreaker ability.
Can't wait till Assassins Creed Sith Jedi Wars comes out! Directed by Jean Luke Picard from the famous musical Battle Star Galactica. It's gonna be awesome.
Bought this today and played four hours strait, didn't realise how long I had been playing because I was enjoying it so much. Incredibly fun game!!! Well worth the wait.
If you dodge at the right time you also get the slow motion moment. You dont have to parry all the time. Plus if you dodge correctly you get behind enemies so you can launch your attacks and blast through them and maybe hit more than one enemy in a straight line.
There is a god of war Easter egg near megaris in a cave called the cave of kratos where you get a familiar chest piece with a leather shoulder pad with some really familiar red paint on your skin Edit it’s not near megaris it’s actually near the hot gates of Thermopylae
I’m loving the game. Familiar yet different. One thing I found out that may be useful is: if the bounty hunters are hanging around a little too close, or hovering around an item or in an area you need to get to (and you’re not prepared to fight them yet), go somewhere else and steal something and that should draw them away to that area. Then you can jump on your horse and get to where you need to go. This helped me in the lumber yard at the beginning of the game.
I have to disagree with the statement that resetting your abilities doesn’t cost anything... Depending on your lvl or how many times you have done it will cost you some Drachmae each time you respec. Other than that great video.
I love how assassin's Creed doesn't focus to much on multiplayer in their games catering to their core audience 🙂 just a random thought this is not a shot at fallout 76

The Sparta kick is actually lethal when used to recruit potential lieutenants, there's a chance of kicking off ledge or pushing them into a wall which will cause death, best option would be getting the paralyze arrows, hit them with it in the face when they are low health for an instant knockdown. Makes much easier to recruit instead of killing them.
i removed spartan kick for 1 point in hunter for paralyzing arrows 100% would recommend also, kick for lethal off ledges is cool but with a build like mine which is 100% crit dmg/chance/assassin dmg its mostly not needed as crits hit for like 200k
How can I tell if a side quest is going to go away after progressing in the story? Do they have something marking them as such? I don't want to miss anything, but it's unrealistic to expect to do every single side quest before progressing with the story.
Use the eagle, correctly! Just like assassins themselves, the eagle is more powerful from higher up. Send him out to scout a fort or enemy camp from 100 meters out and fly straight up as high as possible, you'll be able to tag all enemies and chests or objectives in one go instead of flying around for 5 minutes trying to tag everything, just fly up high.
You cannot respec as many times as you want as there is a cost involved and it is displayed right next to the respec button, and as you progress the cost gets higher. You can even see it in the video as your gold drops from 2338 to 1983 when you reset points :)
No. 11 when going to Megaris for the questline ‘The Wolf Of Sparta’ (I think that is what it’s called) get the ability that lets you break small shields because quite a few enemies have small shields.

Just a heads up to everyone, careful watching UA-cam videos on Odyssey. Apparently there's 1 or 2 floating around that spoil one of the endings without warning you first.
I wish Ubisoft would make an AC game during the American civil war, or WW1. Hell make one that is in a modern era like going against Abstergo but it takes place years after Desmond's death and the Templars are in complete control and rooted in every powerful government throughout the world.
loving the game but if id known there was no player character shield, i would never have pre ordered it, i mean at time i pre ordered it the game still had a shield on the picture in alexios hand

Great vídeo!
✌️😁
My only real gripe on this game is the flashing red power attacks and there being to way to counter them, its simply dodge or die.
Just a heads up to everyone, careful watching UA-cam videos on Odyssey. Apparently there's 1 or 2 floating around that spoil one of the endings without warning you first.
Like this one does a little bit
THIS IS SPARTA !
Actually there is a cost to repsec your character... do your damn research. The cost is drachmae.
Are you blind? At 1:40 watch his drachma in the bottom right not go down it stays at 355. I think we all know who needs research
Screw dismantling. If you want mats wreck ships. Sell that loot!
