I got burnt out at Revelations cause it seemed to much like Brotherhood which in turn meant it was too similar to AC2, but borrowed Revelations from a friend and it was good. Bought AC3 liked and it and then I got AC4 for free with my graphics card. After that I was completely burnt out cause it felt like the gameplay hadn't changed much since AC2 to be honest. But then Origins came out and it is completely different to the older games and I love it, probably my favorite AC game after AC2. And Odyssey looks like it is just adding even more into that formula.
Some of the things which I feel aren't told very often tbh: 1). Use poison, it takes off health chunks, really helpful in fighting mercenaries or Legendary Animals. 2). You can get any of the legendary weaponry super early in the game and use its benefits i.e. Posieden's Trident unlocks breath underwater Engraving or the Fanged Bow which has Poison arrows instead of Normal Arrows which can be put on other gear. 3). Definitely invest in Spartan Kick, Shield Braker, Devastating Shot, Second Wind, and Sixth Sense. 4). Don't be afraid to Reset skill points, and assign them according to your liking. 5). Don't often upgrade gear, you'll get something better within a few fort fights or encounters. 6). If mercenaries come to hunt you down during a fort battle, climb on the top of the square place and wait for them to come up, and then Spartan Kick them. Falls will kill them usually, but this does not work with heavier or bigger enemies. 7). Remember to collect resources like there is no tomorrow because resources are mixed throughout the game. Some are found easily while others take time and effort. 8.) PAY YOUR BOUNTY and retreat, Some fights are better left than fought. 9.) Sell some of your gear, dismantle some gear and make both Drachma and Resources. 10.) Combination of Daggers, Hammers or Spears is very effective in taking down enemies but it really depends on your playstyle. I'll add more if I find any :)
Now that's a really useful tip! I'm trying out the game in a foreign language for the practice and even if they tell you, I might have needed a good while to realise that.
Surprised that so few of the guides don't mention prioritizing enemy lieutenants in conquest battles. Enemies with the Gold marker around their level icon are high-value targets and defeating them helps make it easier to win the battle. Just focusing on the soldiers can result in close conquests or even a loss.
Big tip! From the main inventory screen you can edit the look of your armour. As in you can wear a set while making it look like another set which looks cool, but has less stats. So you can wear say the Demi God armour and have it look like the mercenary set (box art set) like I do.
I didn’t leave the island you start the game on till I was level 9… I know I wanted to 100% complete the island and have an advantage when I leave. Also the last thing you mentioned was about the Spartan kick… idk if I’m doing something wrong but at a certain level kicking them doesn’t actually knock them of a ledge, it’s almost like they have an invisible barrier on their backs when I use the ability. So while yes it was fun doing it when I was a lower level, it seems that certain enemies now have a resistance to… gravity. Also also not sure why all these channels are acting like the big battles between Spartans and Athens are difficult, I enjoy just chain reacting my attacks with an abundant amount of enemies and once in a while a mercenary jumps in the battle too. But unless you’re going into one of these at 4levels too high or more…. This really shouldn’t be a difficult win. Just focus on the leaders (guys with yellow shields around their level) and it lowers the bar faster. I will say using a hammer in the conquests is probably the best way to kill as many as you can since you can chain the attacks without a certain skill/ability. I absolutely love this game, I’ve been doing mainly side quests and I’m lvl53 so once I do start the main story stuff I’m pretty much OP (granted everything scales to your level that is a level lower than you at one point…. Which ok I guess but it would be nice to feel like a god once in a while and go back to places maybe where a previous enemy pissed you off because you died to them for the 50th time and can get sweet revenge. I am aware there is a setting to change the levels scaling but it’s options are kinda limited and can kill the experience for you and not feel as rewarding when taking their loot. Can I also say that these characters love lives kinda suck, it’s all just one night stands and you either have to let them go on their own paths…. Or kill them?… or they commit suicide (depending on how far you are in the game and the order you went you should know exactly which love path I’m talking about). Idk I just wish it was like cyberpunk, GTA San Andreas or any other game where you develop a relationship and stay with that person or bring them along. If you read till the end I applaud you and you will receive a virtual cookie. (🍪)
Some mercs/enemies have a stat/ability called "relentless" which means that they'll never flinch when taking damage, so for example when you Spartan kick a merc and they don't fall or stumble they have relentless
Best way to get materials is to do Forts or areas that have those purple targets that you need to burn for faction control. If you loot them before you burn them you can get a ton of materials.
I like it too. It has a God of War vibe with the combat. I hate the auto lock in this game because the camera is slow in 10/10 setting. I play nightmare mode by the way. Lol
For those players getting frustrated with the horse. If you run and hold whistle you will jump on the horse although you may find your self running for awhile. Instead, stop moving and hold whistle then move once on the Horse. You will find this the fastest way even though it seems counter productive to stop moving.

The biggest tip i can think of right now? After a conquest battle don't be afraid to walk the battlefield, you can usually pick up a couple hundred drachmae & iron ore.
1.Syncing viewpoints also levels up your ikaros to make him vigilant and allow him to even help you in battle 2. Try to level up you spear of leonidas asap, as this will mean that you get to use the most of your assassins abilities towards mid-early game. 3. If you cleave an enemy ship instead of boarding it, you can still dive and get the loot chests for the gear/resources, but be quick as if it gets too far down, the excessive depth can kill you. 4. Best way to drop bodies in bushes is to use the dodge button (or l2+r2 to throw them over a fort wall and just r2 to lay them down). 5. You can always reset your ability points without any cost, so dont hesitate to try new builds 6. Dont get greedy at heavily guarded forts, sometimes its best to just slip in, do the objective and get the f out. 7. Openly killing a faction leader seems to be the one thing that gets you the most bounty. A 2-3 minute fight can land you with max bounty easy. 8. Dont just take the opportunities, create them. Lure higher level enemies to a high place with your whistle and then "red sauce on pastaaa" 9. Dont kill wolves, you will feel terrible every time you hear them squeal. (especially if you're a dog owner in real life) 10. You can take a picture where you hang off a massive statue's nutsack, and that completes my list of tips. Awesome game, cant wait for the next one.
If you're choosing to assassinate enemies more than fighting head on, definitely get the death veil ability. Once you assassinate an enemy, they'll disappear, so no alert can be sent out for a mercenary.
For any new players, once you start getting legendary gear i'd suggest doing a sell/dismantle combo on any weaker gear you get until you get 100k Drachma which will happen fairly soon, around lvl 30. From there you should have enough Drachma to get whatever you want or need. And do 100% dismantle on weak gear from then on to help for armor/ship upgrades. I might even say you don't need 100k Drachma because there isn't really anything that is expensive. Respecing is like 2k, and upgrading gear expenses come mainly from raw mats you'd get from dismantling/ores/wood.
What I learned from my first couple of hours in ac odyssey: level up to 5 before doing the second couple of main objectives. Talos is savage and he will not leave you alone just because you're still level 4.

I haven't played Assassin's Creed since Unity. Got Odyssey and didn't know about the change of the battle system, but hey still went for *Nightmare* mode on the first walkthrough. Its fun being 2-3 shotted from an enemy thats just a level above you (not salty...sometimes)
The shield break ability is the most useful of all abilities, for example against mercenaries it's a big help when he has no shield anymore you just have to spam attack, dodge, attack, dod...
I'm doing what I did with Origins, I WON'T upgrade any gear or weaponry until I hit max level, I don't like being in the habit of continuously wasting resources to upgrade gear every few levels, when I can just hit max level and upgrade my most valuable stuff first and upgrade excess alternative gear when I got extra resources
@@Addonex6666 nope not in the slightest, thing is I use temporary weapons of high level to see me through to max level, and get rid of stuff I don't need, this creates resources to which I can upgrade the gear that I wanted maxed

The multi-shot perk in the hunter perk tree is vital. It's highly useful for conquest battles and especially those annoying animals the Daughters of Artimis send you to hunt.
Multi-shot with explosive arrows and the immortal set bonus(to keep you from dying from the explosions) on a conquest battle and you've pretty much won.
"Don't be afraid to camp" (Me, watching this video after I did a quest where I killed 8 guys by camping in a bush and they just kept checking out the bodies)
A tip missed is when your opponent has a hoplon (that big shield), use distance & rough ground and strafe to their right away from the shield arm, then suddenly their body will be open to your attacks :)
They seriously needa fix the Meditation bug, it doesnt relocate any of the enemy npc, also your spartan allies will attack u if a mercenary jumps u while ur near them which makes no sense at all
Do you know what really doesn’t make sense? Random people attacking me, a level 50 mercenary, with a fucking broom for no reason when I am fighting someone near them (sometimes even when I am literaly saving THEM).
Try to max out one perk like fire damage or poison. After a while, you'll run into gear that can boost those effects and really do a lot of work for you. I also like to add adrenaline boosts so that you can use those super powers much more often in fights.
sparta kick tip I found useful when on high ground; stand close to the edge, as soon the enemy attacks dodge roll behind them and kick them, use arrows to charge adrenaline. useful against elite soldiers
1. Upgrade or swap armor or engrave (blacksmith) 2. Don’t be afraid to dismantle your armor ( choose which to sell or dismantle depending on what your price is) 3. Parrying L1 and R1 will give you an upper hand. 4. Use exploration mode instead of guidance mode. To make for a better challenge 5. The side quests that are linked to the main story do first. Any exclamation point go to first! 6. Recruit what you can especially if orange background. 7. Definitely get the 2nd win ability and upgrade as soon as you can. 8. Camping around the forts you’re trying to take over. Keep killing around a convenient area. 9. Synchronize all areas as soon as spotted. 10. You will hop on your horses back ASAP while running to destination. 11. You will higher your ratings in mercenaries that are higher up than you. Recruit these as you go.
Trust me on this, Parrying is not important, not even a little bit. Just keep dodging and stabbing in the back. It works in Dark Souls. It can easily work in this game.
Personally I don’t like the engraving system where the engraving on my bow can affect my armour or my armour can effect my melee damage. I prefer to things care for themselves
Never pay off a bounty in never kill a bounty when it's at one you want it between 2 and 3 they're usually your level if not a level or so above you and when you hunt them down and kill one of them you get really good loot and gear so keep your Bounty at 3 always once it reaches three hunt down the one you want and if you look with your bird at the Bounty Hunter it'll tell you what gear you get for killing them do that find the gear you want hunt down the Bounty Hunter kill them and so on and so on and you don't need the Spartan Kick if you guys put your skills into Hunter just make sure you use a knockout arrow and then you can recruit them it's a lot safer that way
some ability combos that are effective and i love: hermes speed + a flurry of light attacks: can do a lot of damage without having to worry about enemy glowing attacks or heavy attacks battlecry of ares + over power attacks: 50% more damage added onto the op attack can take of a quarter if not more than half of a mercenaries health bar for those that have the atlantis dlc: wrath of ares + kronos time shift: allows for heavy crowd control along with a trap that captures at least 3-5 enemies in slow motion while frozen in position and the kronos shift lets you fling into the sky, shoot off 3 arrows if youre fast enough and then slam down and AoE those 3-5 enemies trapped in the circle blessing of kronos + ares last breath + op attack: with blessing of kronos you get 50% more adrenaline and youre immune to adrenaline drains and freeze effects, and the ares last breath + op attack makes you immune to all attacks and you get 5% of damage dealt restored as health so with the op attack mixed with blessing of kronos it could refill youre entire health bar depending on how effective you are ares last breath + wrath of ares + kronos time warp: basically time slows down for5 seconds, enemies are trapped, you get health restored on damage
Yeah I remember when I first realized the potential of spartan kick, but it doesn't always works. Some enemies can just tank the kick; they'll take the damage but the kick won't send them flying.
You change the appearance of your armor and weapons by hovering them and pressing the square button. Any armor or weapon you collect will automatically stored in the database so whether you still have the item on you or not, you change your current items to the appearance you prefer and it will not affect the items stats. You can even change the material of the item which will give it a different variation look, many of these variations will be locked until you have reached a particular level.
If you can, buy the Pegasus skin for your horse at 750 helix creds. Having that equipped means you no longer take any fall damage. I thought it was just while on the horse but I’ve tested it and lept off Zeus in Kephallonia...no damage at all was taken.
Okay, seriously. Enough with RDR2 comparisons! That game won't be able to to be compared to any other game for a long time...maybe Cyberpunk and that's a big maybe. If people keep doing this then you're not supposed to like and enjoy any other game other than RDR2. Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy. Odyssey is amazing, I’ve put 10 hours in already from 11 central last night and again today and it’s already my favorite assassins creed game so far. So much to do, and most importantly IT NEVER GETS BORING. Love it

I'm going to enjoy it as well but I gotta say so far red dead does makes this game look weak. So many newer games that have come out that show a lot more polish than this game. I hate how they still haven't fixed so many small details for this game and Instead go overboard on side missions and level gating. I could go on an on about how subpar Ubisoft is and this is from supporting siege and forhonor for a while. Either way I'll enjoy the game and it'll be better than spider Man since I won't platinum it so easily
It’s a perk that they NPCs can have which makes them unstaggerable. It means they won’t get knocked off their feet with any attacks and the only thing that will stagger them a bit is parrying them. :)
Tip 1: Farm mercenaries and conquest battles. [Boeotia and Megaris are both nice spots - less than 500m from Battle Field to Leader house/Fort] Tip 2: Sell rare and epic gears that have trash options [get Drachmae fast & Legit] Tip 3: Watch out for Epic Gears that has your desired options [for your build.]

The scenario is really good, war and past of the hero..... This is a huge open world and until now (almost 20 hours of game) they succeed to not made a repetitif world (the failure of RDR1 according to me) . However, I am not a really fan of his RPG side, I prefer game like Gta and RDR !
La mome I bought it. And poured 8 hours in already. Honestly the side quests are already getting repetitive sadly. I like rpg elements so that’s something. But i love the stealth approach in odyssey specially. Quite fun!
I feel like a lot of ppl learned the "locking on" thing from the batman games, which iirc was KING at this type of fighting style. I never played those games, maybe thats why but i very RARELY lock on. there ARE times i do, and unlike origins, odessey actually make it worth my while to do it sometimes (big crowd but only one enemy i'm really interested in...to make sure i'm hitting them most). All in all, i played thru origins without ever locking on, and so far i'm doing fine in odessey without locking on...I maybe get why ppl do it, but its not for me. What i DONT get is why ppl insist its EXTREMELY necesary..it really isn't, if you know how to fight without locking on it can be as effective.
I hate level scaling systems they destroy character progression, and its an accomplishment and rewarding to out level and defeat an enemy that was alot higher level at one time(least theres a setting to minimize scaling). But i do completely love Odyssey regardless, i wasnt an assassin Creed fan until i played Odyssey,its one of the best game ever made !!!!
I have over 200 hrs loged in on game and only 83 % completed. I would reccomend getting all 3 dlc its a good story line and a fun quest. I am a level 68 and just took out a level 94 bounty hunter. And as a fair warning to everybody when you kill one your meter goes up after that they start sending 2 3 or 4 bounty hunters at 1 time
Killed the first Merc while 3 levels lower than him, I'm now lvl 20 and I got the game yesterday..I've never felt under leveled well except once in megeris
I don't know i kinda like that underleveled feeling. Sorta reminds me of MMORPGs where you have zones you gotta wait to go to, Origins had the same thing and i liked it, few times i stayed behind in a zone i finished main story in to do few more side missions and get more levels to progress further. I get that it's made to be a cash grabbing "feature" but it makes game longer for me and more time spent enjoying the game! Is my logic flawed? Or is it just preference?
Just some clean up here. Tip 1 sorta wrong, dont pay attention to the armour rating stat, it means nothing. Tip 2 dont worry about buying materials from a blacksmith drachmea is REALLY easy to get. Tip 4 it is not pronounce Ikaross Tip 6 make sure you scout them first with Ikaros to see if they are even worth recruiting, legendary are only ones worth it Tip 12 unless they are immune, some enemies are immune to the kick
The note about the spartan kick is wrong, or is now because they might have modified the game. Some bad guys only take damage, but don't move, or take a fall but don't take much damage. Still, when it works, it's awesome.

I started today, around 6 am. No breaks really, by 3 PM I finally got the boat. Game hasnt even started and I'm nine hours in. And I love it.
I was surprised when i got the boat and saw that whole first island was just the intro. Thats a good sign that the game is going to be awesome

TIP: You can shoot Sharks with your bow from the surface of the water..

If an enemy glows red before they attack, the attack will be unblockable. So don't try to parry; dodge instead.

I suggest to dismantle the common(gray) and rare(blue) the purple epic should be sold at the blacksmith, it can give you 1 thousand or even 3 thousand
Sell it all. The amount you get back will pay for what materials you would have gotten. Plus even more left over.
I dismantle armor, swords, and daggers. Sell the rest regardless of color

For those players getting frustrated with the horse. If you run and hold whistle you will jump on the horse although you may find your self running for awhile. Instead, stop moving and hold whistle then move once on the Horse. You will find this the fastest way even though it seems counter productive to stop moving.

The biggest tip i can think of right now? After a conquest battle don't be afraid to walk the battlefield, you can usually pick up a couple hundred drachmae & iron ore.

The second wind ability isn't only good for conquest battles it helped me beat medusa when I was at a low level
1.Syncing viewpoints also levels up your ikaros to make him vigilant and allow him to even help you in battle
2. Try to level up you spear of leonidas asap, as this will mean that you get to use the most of your assassins abilities towards mid-early game.
3. If you cleave an enemy ship instead of boarding it, you can still dive and get the loot chests for the gear/resources, but be quick as if it gets too far down, the excessive depth can kill you.
4. Best way to drop bodies in bushes is to use the dodge button (or l2+r2 to throw them over a fort wall and just r2 to lay them down).
5. You can always reset your ability points without any cost, so dont hesitate to try new builds
6. Dont get greedy at heavily guarded forts, sometimes its best to just slip in, do the objective and get the f out.
7. Openly killing a faction leader seems to be the one thing that gets you the most bounty. A 2-3 minute fight can land you with max bounty easy.
8. Dont just take the opportunities, create them. Lure higher level enemies to a high place with your whistle and then "red sauce on pastaaa"
9. Dont kill wolves, you will feel terrible every time you hear them squeal. (especially if you're a dog owner in real life)
10. You can take a picture where you hang off a massive statue's nutsack, and that completes my list of tips. Awesome game, cant wait for the next one.

If you're choosing to assassinate enemies more than fighting head on, definitely get the death veil ability. Once you assassinate an enemy, they'll disappear, so no alert can be sent out for a mercenary.
More like "12 basic gameplay mechanics that you would know if you pay attention to the game you're playing."
For any new players, once you start getting legendary gear i'd suggest doing a sell/dismantle combo on any weaker gear you get until you get 100k Drachma which will happen fairly soon, around lvl 30. From there you should have enough Drachma to get whatever you want or need. And do 100% dismantle on weak gear from then on to help for armor/ship upgrades. I might even say you don't need 100k Drachma because there isn't really anything that is expensive. Respecing is like 2k, and upgrading gear expenses come mainly from raw mats you'd get from dismantling/ores/wood.
I usually just dismantle all my common and rare gear and sell the epic stuff. I feel like that gives me a good balance of drachmae and resources
What I learned from my first couple of hours in ac odyssey: level up to 5 before doing the second couple of main objectives. Talos is savage and he will not leave you alone just because you're still level 4.
Tbh levels don’t matter that much it’s how good you are if you can dodge you win

Got Odyssey and didn't know about the change of the battle system, but hey still went for *Nightmare* mode on the first walkthrough.
Its fun being 2-3 shotted from an enemy thats just a level above you (not salty...sometimes)
The shield break ability is the most useful of all abilities, for example against mercenaries it's a big help when he has no shield anymore you just have to spam attack, dodge, attack, dod...
Useless in late game tho
I'm doing what I did with Origins, I WON'T upgrade any gear or weaponry until I hit max level, I don't like being in the habit of continuously wasting resources to upgrade gear every few levels, when I can just hit max level and upgrade my most valuable stuff first and upgrade excess alternative gear when I got extra resources

@@Addonex6666 nope not in the slightest, thing is I use temporary weapons of high level to see me through to max level, and get rid of stuff I don't need, this creates resources to which I can upgrade the gear that I wanted maxed

Here’s a tip, while riding the horse anywhere , specially in the woods tap triangle repeatedly you’ll pick up lots of more items. Lol

The multi-shot perk in the hunter perk tree is vital. It's highly useful for conquest battles and especially those annoying animals the Daughters of Artimis send you to hunt.
Multi-shot with explosive arrows and the immortal set bonus(to keep you from dying from the explosions) on a conquest battle and you've pretty much won.
"Don't be afraid to camp" (Me, watching this video after I did a quest where I killed 8 guys by camping in a bush and they just kept checking out the bodies)
A tip missed is when your opponent has a hoplon (that big shield), use distance & rough ground and strafe to their right away from the shield arm, then suddenly their body will be open to your attacks :)

Pro tip quick save before going to tombs and before doing quest
They seriously needa fix the Meditation bug, it doesnt relocate any of the enemy npc, also your spartan allies will attack u if a mercenary jumps u while ur near them which makes no sense at all
You have no allies sparta and athens are neutral with you thats why you can fight with both sides

Do you know what really doesn’t make sense? Random people attacking me, a level 50 mercenary, with a fucking broom for no reason when I am fighting someone near them (sometimes even when I am literaly saving THEM).

Well you see here, there isn't a w key on controller for console
Try to max out one perk like fire damage or poison. After a while, you'll run into gear that can boost those effects and really do a lot of work for you. I also like to add adrenaline boosts so that you can use those super powers much more often in fights.

sparta kick tip I found useful when on high ground; stand close to the edge, as soon the enemy attacks dodge roll behind them and kick them, use arrows to charge adrenaline. useful against elite soldiers

Farcry 4 was better slightly
1. Upgrade or swap armor or engrave (blacksmith)
2. Don’t be afraid to dismantle your armor ( choose which to sell or dismantle depending on what your price is)
3. Parrying L1 and R1 will give you an upper hand.
4. Use exploration mode instead of guidance mode. To make for a better challenge
5. The side quests that are linked to the main story do first. Any exclamation point go to first!
6. Recruit what you can especially if orange background.
7. Definitely get the 2nd win ability and upgrade as soon as you can.
8. Camping around the forts you’re trying to take over. Keep killing around a convenient area.
9. Synchronize all areas as soon as spotted.
10. You will hop on your horses back ASAP while running to destination.
11. You will higher your ratings in mercenaries that are higher up than you. Recruit these as you go.
Trust me on this, Parrying is not important, not even a little bit. Just keep dodging and stabbing in the back. It works in Dark Souls. It can easily work in this game.
She died in the same conquest battle over and over like I did. I know that feeling of no health and that blasted unskippable scene.

Personally I don’t like the engraving system where the engraving on my bow can affect my armour or my armour can effect my melee damage. I prefer to things care for themselves

Never pay off a bounty in never kill a bounty when it's at one you want it between 2 and 3 they're usually your level if not a level or so above you and when you hunt them down and kill one of them you get really good loot and gear so keep your Bounty at 3 always once it reaches three hunt down the one you want and if you look with your bird at the Bounty Hunter it'll tell you what gear you get for killing them do that find the gear you want hunt down the Bounty Hunter kill them and so on and so on and you don't need the Spartan Kick if you guys put your skills into Hunter just make sure you use a knockout arrow and then you can recruit them it's a lot safer that way
some ability combos that are effective and i love:
hermes speed + a flurry of light attacks: can do a lot of damage without having to worry about enemy glowing attacks or heavy attacks
battlecry of ares + over power attacks: 50% more damage added onto the op attack can take of a quarter if not more than half of a mercenaries health bar
for those that have the atlantis dlc:
wrath of ares + kronos time shift: allows for heavy crowd control along with a trap that captures at least 3-5 enemies in slow motion while frozen in position and the kronos shift lets you fling into the sky, shoot off 3 arrows if youre fast enough and then slam down and AoE those 3-5 enemies trapped in the circle
blessing of kronos + ares last breath + op attack: with blessing of kronos you get 50% more adrenaline and youre immune to adrenaline drains and freeze effects, and the ares last breath + op attack makes you immune to all attacks and you get 5% of damage dealt restored as health so with the op attack mixed with blessing of kronos it could refill youre entire health bar depending on how effective you are
ares last breath + wrath of ares + kronos time warp: basically time slows down for5 seconds, enemies are trapped, you get health restored on damage

Yeah I remember when I first realized the potential of spartan kick, but it doesn't always works. Some enemies can just tank the kick; they'll take the damage but the kick won't send them flying.
You change the appearance of your armor and weapons by hovering them and pressing the square button. Any armor or weapon you collect will automatically stored in the database so whether you still have the item on you or not, you change your current items to the appearance you prefer and it will not affect the items stats. You can even change the material of the item which will give it a different variation look, many of these variations will be locked until you have reached a particular level.
If you can, buy the Pegasus skin for your horse at 750 helix creds. Having that equipped means you no longer take any fall damage. I thought it was just while on the horse but I’ve tested it and lept off Zeus in Kephallonia...no damage at all was taken.
Okay, seriously. Enough with RDR2 comparisons! That game won't be able to to be compared to any other game for a long time...maybe Cyberpunk and that's a big maybe.
If people keep doing this then you're not supposed to like and enjoy any other game other than RDR2. Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy. Don't be a lambo duche bag guy down talking someone's Lexus... I like this game and many others, and I can't wait for RDR2 but I'm still going to enjoy Odyssey.
I second that. I am so tired of the people who say everything else sucks because a great game is coming out. Odyssey is amazing, I’ve put 10 hours in already from 11 central last night and again today and it’s already my favorite assassins creed game so far. So much to do, and most importantly IT NEVER GETS BORING. Love it
Also RD2 is not out yet. Probably wise to not decide how good a game is or isn't before people actually play it.

I'm going to enjoy it as well but I gotta say so far red dead does makes this game look weak. So many newer games that have come out that show a lot more polish than this game. I hate how they still haven't fixed so many small details for this game and Instead go overboard on side missions and level gating. I could go on an on about how subpar Ubisoft is and this is from supporting siege and forhonor for a while. Either way I'll enjoy the game and it'll be better than spider Man since I won't platinum it so easily

i think elites and stuff can take it, and higher levels, also you can knock them off balance a bit then sparta kick them and i "SHOULD" work
from my experience if they cant be kicked normally then getting them off balance first still does nothing to help the kick
It’s a perk that they NPCs can have which makes them unstaggerable. It means they won’t get knocked off their feet with any attacks and the only thing that will stagger them a bit is parrying them. :)
I don’t even bother calling my horse while I’m running. It’s way quicker to just wait for him to get close than it is for him to catch up.

Tip 1: Farm mercenaries and conquest battles. [Boeotia and Megaris are both nice spots - less than 500m from Battle Field to Leader house/Fort]
Tip 2: Sell rare and epic gears that have trash options [get Drachmae fast & Legit]
Tip 3: Watch out for Epic Gears that has your desired options [for your build.]

@@huskytzu7709 yes ! Good game, period, landscape are nice. The immersion is really good ! I like the naval side with the ship and the crew but you cannot bring your crew on the Land, too bad ! The scenario is really good, war and past of the hero..... This is a huge open world and until now (almost 20 hours of game) they succeed to not made a repetitif world (the failure of RDR1 according to me) . However, I am not a really fan of his RPG side, I prefer game like Gta and RDR !
La mome I bought it. And poured 8 hours in already. Honestly the side quests are already getting repetitive sadly. I like rpg elements so that’s something. But i love the stealth approach in odyssey specially. Quite fun!

I feel like a lot of ppl learned the "locking on" thing from the batman games, which iirc was KING at this type of fighting style. I never played those games, maybe thats why but i very RARELY lock on. there ARE times i do, and unlike origins, odessey actually make it worth my while to do it sometimes (big crowd but only one enemy i'm really interested in...to make sure i'm hitting them most). All in all, i played thru origins without ever locking on, and so far i'm doing fine in odessey without locking on...I maybe get why ppl do it, but its not for me. What i DONT get is why ppl insist its EXTREMELY necesary..it really isn't, if you know how to fight without locking on it can be as effective.

I must say there is a ton of really usefull tips and some i didnt even know like the mercenary recruitment :)
I hate level scaling systems they destroy character progression, and its an accomplishment and rewarding to out level and defeat an enemy that was alot higher level at one time(least theres a setting to minimize scaling). But i do completely love Odyssey regardless, i wasnt an assassin Creed fan until i played Odyssey,its one of the best game ever made !!!!

I have over 200 hrs loged in on game and only 83 % completed. I would reccomend getting all 3 dlc its a good story line and a fun quest. I am a level 68 and just took out a level 94 bounty hunter. And as a fair warning to everybody when you kill one your meter goes up after that they start sending 2 3 or 4 bounty hunters at 1 time
That “under levelled” feeling. that’s please see the store for a boost... that’s why we must fight this micro transaction trend!
Killed the first Merc while 3 levels lower than him, I'm now lvl 20 and I got the game yesterday..I've never felt under leveled well except once in megeris
I don't know i kinda like that underleveled feeling. Sorta reminds me of MMORPGs where you have zones you gotta wait to go to, Origins had the same thing and i liked it, few times i stayed behind in a zone i finished main story in to do few more side missions and get more levels to progress further. I get that it's made to be a cash grabbing "feature" but it makes game longer for me and more time spent enjoying the game! Is my logic flawed? Or is it just preference?

Tip 1 sorta wrong, dont pay attention to the armour rating stat, it means nothing.
Tip 2 dont worry about buying materials from a blacksmith drachmea is REALLY easy to get.
Tip 4 it is not pronounce Ikaross
Tip 6 make sure you scout them first with Ikaros to see if they are even worth recruiting, legendary are only ones worth it
Tip 12 unless they are immune, some enemies are immune to the kick

The note about the spartan kick is wrong, or is now because they might have modified the game. Some bad guys only take damage, but don't move, or take a fall but don't take much damage. Still, when it works, it's awesome.
I killed 2 mercenaries that were attacking me at the same time by spartan kicking them off a tower. Very useful.
You can fast travel to any ship docks you see on the map. No synchronization required.
This game is just like origins but with a Greek background.
I've seen 3 tip review videos, this is the best with clear straightforward and, most importantly, spoiler free tips. Thanks guys.

I got the 40% Sparta kick perk 20 each on a sword and chest plate took nearly good amount of health
