YES, please bring back the leather straps! I love the fabric ones, but didn't get the leather ones when they were first released, so I definitely want to try those too.
Super good video, gabriel. I just wacht go to the gym and snacht right now 😂,, when you have time, one for the clean and jerk would be awesome too ,this is super helpful. Content for us recreational lifters, thanks
Hi Gabriel, I really like this type of content! would be cool if you could collab with another weightlifting content creator while doing this type of video format. As always, love the videos and appreciate the information you put out. Cheers!
thank you. to improve your snatch you need to find out what its not working for you and trying to add some cues to improve it. in my app super weightlifting, you can request feedback of your lifts and you will receive feedback.
Interesting as you warm up you look stronger, initially with just the barbell it appears like the barbell is heavy but then you get to your first plates and your moving the barbell with plates like it's light, so it goes to show warming up PROGRESSIVELY is a good idea even if only for performance let alone safety as the body changes once blood is flowing through the muscles and it's doesn't happen instantly, great video.
Thanks Sir for all the tips ) I can only do once a week 1 hour I am 46 and do other sports as well so pretty tight schedule. Does your app provide a program for once a week ? Also power snatch is my working snatch since I train at home and can not risk losing the barbell in a deep overhead squat, neighbors won’t be very happy )
welcome sir I don't have program with 1 session, but you can start the 3days/week from Super Weightlifting App and do 1 session per week :) or you can try my free program, that it will be available on the super weightlifting app as well! superweightlifting.app
This was VERY useful and instructive! I liked how you explained your thought process (and how deliberate you are in moving up in weight). HOWEVER, I have to ask : WHY use straps on everything? Are your hands having problems, or what exactly? Many high level Coaches (and lifters) says it changes the feel of the turnover (and in some ways is cheating the technique!). For a lifter of Olympic level like Gabriel, this is NOT an issue but 99% of casual / amateur lifters should probably NOT USE straps for their normal training in full snatch, but ONLY for complexes / pulls etc...otherwise, the straps become a crutch and when it comes to competing it can actually DETRACT from their performance! Do you agree, Gabriel?
I made a video were I was explaining that more then 50% of professional weightlifters don’t know how to use hookgrip, imagine amateur or beginners :) For me working with straps or hookgrip is same thing, because I know how to use it, but when I started weightlifting I trained without straps of course. When weights are getting heavier, need to use straps to protect hands and to be able to do more volume weekly. Chek out my hook-grip video here and let me know if you use it well: ua-cam.com/video/M743DbSuONA/v-deo.html
@@gsincraian please explain more, 2 weeks before competition only hookgrip ? Every 2 weeks only 1 snatch session with hookgrip is enough ? Or you need to save your hookgrip from fatigue ?

The empty barbell is such a great warmup tool. And also for technique practice. I'm not sure why more people don't use it.

Will we see Gabriel in international competition again? Or go Clarence0 route and hit huge training numbers?
lol
competions nope, lifting heavy weights with Clarence definetly💪
@@gsincraian Sounds good!!
How long are you resting between sets?
2-3 minutes
why do you use straps ? why and when and how many times to use it ?
is good to do a snatch session at 2 weeks without straps if you plan to compete. if you are at beggining, you can do all sessions without straps.

Snatch session 18 minutes, warm up 1h! you can't fool me :)) aren't the straps a bit too long?
All raw footage was 38 minutes. But we cut non important parts :)
@@gsincraian I'm just joking. Let's re-stock the straps
