Jordan was lying. We were really hitting it off
Just be careful with Jordan. This week he hurts Chris, last week he was doing the same thing to a GH5.
Haha this was awesome
And how was it that Jordan was in the fetal position? I think you were literally *hitting* Jordan. Lol
You guys are hilarious
Manny, welcome to DPReview TV!
This is the best intro ever
Feel like sony just become the new Canon.
They’re undergoing ‘canonization’, yeah 🤣
This release came from accountants not photographers.
If you're getting good and competition cant compete yet, then you'll get lazy, then the new tech will go to a9ii when competitor is catching up.
Apsc is not sony main focus but anyways tell me a more capable apsc camera just fuji with the xt3 is. By the way fiji xt3 is king of apsc camera and lenses.
@@ivankiefer3886 in 2013 or 2014 samsung released NX1. Now it's 2019 but NX1 still beats shit out of new cameras. Unfortunately this time Sony messed up. Felt as if what Canon would do. I hope the days of Sony leading innovation and exciting releases is not over. A6100 has no reason to exist, waste of plastic, A6600, well... Z battery is good, other than that.... old Samsung NX1 seems more exciting than this on so many aspects. 😶
The best Honest Review about this camera that I’ve heard so far. Perfect review. It summarizes the feeling we have for this camera for a lot of people including myself
Phew. Dodged that one. Looks like a no buy on the a6600.. credit cards lives another day...for now
eh, what about the sony a7r?
Ashleyapples just deciding on the a73..
your credit card will die when sony releases a camera that has the features you want.
a few nice to haves but sweet FA that is a wow upgrade or new feature.
@@eirjordan337 guess your credit card will die after all, cause that cost more than the a6600 and doesn't really do anything much extra, and don't forget about the price of the lens.. might need a 2nd credit card.
and you will need to hire a full time therapist after they release the a74, which will be anytime now, and will for sure be better than the a73.
2020 is almost upon us and a full buffer still cripples the camera. DPR needs to make an even bigger deal out of this
I have the camera and the buffer is probably the worse thing about it. Horrible! I cant comfortably shoot anything.
My a6500 is three years old and I am really itching to upgrade. The a6600 just isn’t offering enough to justify the price. I refuse to go backwards on buffer size, especially.
How do you feel about the a6400 compared to your a6500?
Kamin8r I’ve never used the a6400 but my understanding is the key differences are much-improved autofocus on the a6400 while the a6500 has IBIS.
Same.
A 6700 must be coming in 2021 with the XR processor found on the a1, new menu, side flip screen, 4K 60 and a better view finder there are so many areas to improve this. My a6500 is showing it’s age.
Thank you very much.Chris and Jordan always proving to provide honest and objective reviews
Great video and it was awesome seeing Manny Ortiz, Ted Forbes, and the Camera Store team there 👀
I simply can't understand why they would put a stacked sensor with zero blackout and 20fps in a P&S, and refuse to put the same tech into their flagship APS-C camera. Smells like market segmentation and protecting their full frame line. So disappointing to see Sony go the Canon way. And they want $1400 for this half arsed upgrade. I hope this camera flops and they are forced to introduce some serious upgrades soon. I was so ready to upgrade, but not for this cynical release.
Its really odd as we know the XT3 has a fuji sensor. This could have all the XT3 specs and more.
It kind of reminds me of what Apple is doing with their products as well. Little unexciting minor tweaks here and there. Where in the big overall picture, mean diddly-squat and nothing completely new and improved. Yet they have the gall and arrogance to jack up the price to eye-watering levels. Yes I too hope it flops big time to teach them a lesson -both Sony and Apple equally!
That was awesome and so honest review - full respect for you covering all good and the bad without fear
Unnecessary releases. Disappointing. The fact that ergonomics and battery life are catching up with DSLRs should not count as noteworthy news.
I think Canon is still sitting at between 200 and 250 shots per battery with 3 or 4 of their mirrorless cameras... So it’s mildly newsworthy. 😆
Mediocre expensive e-mount APS-C lenses to boot also.
Aperture hmm does the price make it mediocre or the actual quality?
Speaking solely from a cinematographer/videographer point of view.
The α6600 is good. For lightweight interview shoots etc where the camera sits on a tripod (B camera to FS5 for example) , I think it is a good choice. If I didn't own a α6300, I'd possibly buy it. However, the specs are just underwhelming enough to not be enough of a push to upgrade from my α6300. Even though this is a massive improvement on the shortcomings of the α6300. The rolling shutter is a big disappointment and to a lesser degree, so is the omni-present Sony penchant for 8bit 4:2:0 in UHD. There is a lot that is good about this camera, just not enough perhaps depending on your current equipment and/or needs. In short - I'm left with a 'I'll wait and see what they bring out next time' attitude as that rolling shutter is going to restrict how I use the camera and I know I won't be happy with the results. I'd rather save my hard earned money and invest in something down the road that will perform and give me the results that I am looking for according to my specific needs as buying gear is not a particular hobby of mine. Your mileage will differ.
Andrew Jones Productions I’m in the exact same position with the same cameras, and I agree with you. I’m a big fan of APS-C but until Sony cares enough to redesign their nearly 6 year old chassis, add a real touch screen, improve the LCD, the sensor and the video codec-I’m not going to upgrade to a Sony body. The Fuji X-T3 or T-30, however, might actually be my next move since Sony is at least a year away from another new APS-C camera.
There's now 6 *six!* Different models now in the a6x00 lineup and not one remotely stands out from the pack. I find that my old a6300 is still capable and wouldn't be expecting Sony to make a real XT3 killer period.
Say the truth in simple words. Sony a6600 is an EPIC FAIL. it is EXACTLY the same hardware as Sony a6500. All these minor improvements in AF and color are just software changes/updates that could be done in a6500 as well since they have the same sensor/hardware/processor. Sony is trying to sell an old model as new. The only really new is the better battery.
I think this is the first time that I've seen Sony hold back so much on its tech, especially in a flagship camera. It seems more like a Canon new release than a Sony one in this regard... Great video, though :D
If this was a canon release internet will explode lol.
Seriously. Compare the release of this to the release of the A7iii, which wowed everyone in terms of the price and features. Sony cut too many corners with this one, given the premium price tag.
M6 ii seems better in ergonomics, af point selection and speed. Overall faster/easier camera for almost half a price. Haven't used either but seems like that. I hope that m50 ii will be coming soon as m6 ii is already better then m50.
This isn't flagship, the A7 series is.
@@soundknight I think Joe meant that it is flagship aps-c body.
A lot of really great point made about the A6600. Nice job! The battery, ibis, eye af, flip screen, and quite a few other features look great and would be upgrades to what I use now but man... Some things like video wobble are rough. Especially for the price compared to other stuff out there (x-t3, eos rp, etc).
The X-T3 is King. Cannot wait for the X-Pro3.
i won't, until they put a flip up screen
Another great video always a real pleasure to watch and learn from you Chris and Jordan ✌️😉
I see a A6700 coming next week after Sony sees this video.
you could just get a a7iii?
I see a price drop after they see people aren’t that stupid as they thought.
...like it happened with the release of the 6300 and within a few months... the 6500!
@@lostinoc3528 no.. same old technology. You can buy a modern camera like Fuji X-t3 ... Sony lost the game in video after this release
Angu Motzfeldt smdhhhhh
Great review. Very honest and frank, and the reason why DP Review is my go-to team.
Other than the bigger battery, it seems like it's just the A6500 with a firmware update. Pretty disappointing. This thing really needed 4K60.
and a new LCD,they been keeping that screen for years
@@user-qg6fs5wd3n 4k60? lame. it should have 6k120 at the least.
LostinOC 8k 240. Minimum.
Still uses the same old a6300 sensor when Obama was still in office. Think about that.
@@caldera878 That's why I'm sticking with my 6300 for now. I shoot almost exclusively stills and there's nothing in the newer models which really makes a huge difference to me i.e. nothing that would drastically improve image quality. As such, the lenses are of more interest to me.
Best camera review crew on UA-cam! Thanks guys
A very thoughtful and thorough first look. You guys do a great job.
Thanks for the great video 😎
The real star is whoever is planning all of these events and interesting acts to shoot for Sony. Seriously great stuff!
This preview is the nicest way to tell Sony, this time you screwd it up.
Sony is okay with it, since they will still sell more than the competition.
@@lostinoc3528 That is a Canon move.
"He means nothing to me" 😂
made me choke on my water!
can somebody explain what um going on?
I need help! I am Graduating from an iPhone to a “real” camera for my channel. I thought the 6600 would be it... but maybe not. Help! What has IBS, great af, mic in, headphones out, great 4K, 24p, flippy screen... all those UA-cam needed features???
Great review guys as always.
How is the a6600 screen brightness while shooting 4k which was a a6500 problem? Also what lens did he film with?
Very interesting review with lots of information to process. Thanks :)
Does the real-time tracking work even when connecting an external monitor via hdmi for the A6600 or A6100?
I take it real time video eye tracking will only work with native lenses?
Always the best reviews. 😊
what if I dont have an APS-C camera but I have a A7 with a couple of full frame lenses and me wanting a 2nd camera for a B camera and vlogging. Would it be worth getting the 6600 ?
I wasn't expecting crippleware from Sony. Why is the buffer smaller than on the a6500?
Potentially because they used the same amount of memory but some of it is being used by the real time tracking AF
Because Sony are reducing costs as much as possible, and for that they reused the same logic board and internals on all three new cameras. Almost all of the feature segmentation between them is done in FW.
Still, this might be a bridge too far. The A6600, with either the 26 MP chip or a far more advanced body (UHS-II slot, front dial, joystick, battery grip option) would’ve been tempting. But, as things stand now, it’s the A6100 that I feel offers the best proposition, especially if some clever minds figure out how to port the A6400’s FW over.
@@Ildskalli Spot on Sony dialled this release in with as few improvements as they thought they could get away with. It's not 2015 put UHS l to bed. What's the point of having a good frame rate and great auto focus with a measly buffer?
A bone lazy and cynical effort from Sony. This release came from accountants and not photographers. Disappointing very disappointing.
a6500 owner here: The buffer on the a6500 is ridiculous. It often gets me in trouble, having to slog through a massive amount of photos at the end of the day.
I need some discipline...
I had a question: I am going to live stream using my A6600 camera. The
small USB cable that comes with the camera to charge ( im not sure what
its called what type of cable it is) ...is there a longer one that i can
purchase somewhere ? The one that comes with the camera is only about
one foot long...not good for outdoor live stream where I may need a
longer cable.
The 6600 is just an ad for XT3
Unless you have a bag of e-mount lenses and are nonplussed by Fugi's lens lineup.
Thomas Cosgrove how are you nonplussed by a lens lineup?
@@Ashleyapples What part of the statement don't you understand? The XT3 might be a great camera, but with no ibis, and a lens range that also lacks stabilization on MANY of the better options, it was not a persuasive purchase. Anyway, my comment was a response to someone else who said the 6600 was an "ad for the XT3." Something I don't agree with at all.
Thomas Cosgrove oh okay. i was trying to understand i guess its all about the stabilization
@@actorsreels1 is this camera even competing with the X-T3?
Question: why do you say the ergonomics are fantastic on the xt3? Doesnt the really small grip makes a pain in the ass to hold the xt3?
A6600 HDMI output in 4K. Question: Does the eye detect focus work while using an external monitor? (A normal 4K monitor,NOT A RECORDER) Also very important to me Does this camera output 'INFO DISPLAY' to the external monitor while recording 4K internal?
I have the A6300 and as soon as I plug in an external monitor and shoot in 4K the info display wont output to the monitor it is just on the 3" screen. Really frustrating.
Why no USB C either? Seems like a pretty lazy update.
Manny took off like CJ from GTA: San Andreas lol 😂 Another great video though
"Manny, you bustah!"
Is there an af tracking mode (face or/and eye) in 1080p at 120 fps available on a6400 and a6600? I have heard on one youtube channel that it is not on a6400. Is it true?
Excellent, well rounded review.
Very informative as always guys! How well does the IBIS perform, not sure that was mentioned?
Which is difference between canon m6 Mark 2 and sony 6600 which should be best choice for vlog and photography? Thanks!
Can this camera shoot in 4K/30P without any limits by time and Gb? I need shoot 3 hours video at once by one file. And I need exactly 30.000 fps!!! Not 29.970fps!!! Is it possible with this camera???
I just got the a6400 a couple weeks back, should I return it for the a6600 or wait next year for the next apsc or upgrade to ff?
Hi Chris, just wondered the a6600 shutter button is the same as 6400's? or same as a7 iii shutter? 6400's second stage press is firm, unlike a7 iii thanks!!!
Thank you for showing the a6600 this so helpful in trying to choose a camera. Have a blessed day. I have been stuck between if I should wait on a6600 or if it's better to get the a6500.
Chris, Is the 6600 worth the extra $$ over the 6400? I am primarily a stills shooter but am fully invested in the sony system and am looking for a carry everywhere camera, otherwise I would really be looking at the X-t3, although the different battery than the 73 and 7R4.......decisions. Any help would be great!
Which mirrorless camera is for bird photography @ $1000. I like fuji but AF, Tracking and EVF is concern. Please could u tell ?
I’m so confused can you recommend me a good camera mainly for pictures I was going to get the Sony 6600
Excellent review!
Nice to see the cameo by your old buddies from the Calgary store.
whats better pocket 6k , GH5 or fuji xt3? pros and cons?
That looks like so much more fun then the mosquito trip the rest of us went on 🤣
The Everyday Dad😅
Your the bast 😎
You switch cameras like every other two weeks.
It's refreshing to see an honest review.
Best intro in a long time :D
Awesome info vid 👌🏽 thanks
I don't get not having a front dial, for me that is a must, and one card slot on a flagship is not excerptible either, but I know Canon and Nikon shooters are ok with it lol............. personally I wish there was a flash on all cameras, even top of the line full frame cameras. there are times when it can be useful. do you happen to know if the A7r lll is capable of getting a firmware update for realtime tracking ? or is it impossible with the sensor and it will never come ?
Should i just get a a7ii? Or a6500? My budget prevents me from getting the iii.
Rolling shutter is that just at the higher quality higher FPS or is it across the board? Ie what about 1080/30fps.
Being that it's the same sensor as the a6500, I would assume so. I haven't shot enough video to tell you which, but there's definitely varying amounts of shutter depending on what resolution and which portion of the sensor (super 35 vs cropped) you're using.
of the three newest Sony a6xxx cameras, which do you guys feel is the best value? a6400 felt like a big deal upon release in a way that these two new ones don't, does that still hold?
yes, but now i want to better one
Love the acting at the start! Haha 💪
My 6400 got stolen. Is there a chance I can track its location via Imaging Edge Mobile App that I connected to my camera?
Also a6400 or a6600?
Outrages. Okay, thank you for the information.
Just watched your X-T4 review, but something that has puzzled me in the past and as I see dual card slots for the x-t4 and 3 both have, shoot me down in flames if you feel the need but why camera companies don't use the micro SD like mobile/cell phones do, I use an adapter SD card for a micro 64GB in a A6000 and have had no issues, is it reliability or heat or people loose them to easily, Sony could at least do that for their APS-C range or any of these manufacturers. Can someone give me a reason or two. This is a legit question I honestly don't know, maybe I missed the micro SD conundrum video. thanks cheers.
OMG I'm dying from that opening.
Great cameo by Manny!
Kudos for drawing attention to the missing dial, joystick, and UHS-II slot! Hope to see you review them next year on the A6700.
their FF line has you covered.
What is the EVF like for fast action?
I don't think that they are really that interested in developing the APS-C cameras.
The new lenses tells me a a7000 with the missing upgrades is coming soon... the 16-55mm are for the a7000?
Very good review. Very honest.
What would you recommend better than this camera but not too expensive
We need apples to apples comparison with Fujifilm XT-3 16-55 f2.8 setup!!!
Or with the forthcoming Fuji 16-80 F.4 with 6 stop IS... :-)))
As a person with no camera at all, that is on the look for a small-ish camera for traveling pics/Videos: Is that good for a first camera or is the a6400 better for that? Im really confused
I would honestly save yourself some money and buy the a6400. There are solutions for the battery life and you could just grab a small gimbal with some of the money you saved since the sony IBIS on the APS-C cameras has never been anything to write home about. I'm keeping my a6400 because it seems like the best value to me with the most reasonable price point. The a6600 seems like an attempt to push people into full frame camera gear with the small upgrades and price point. I just finally made the switch to Sony and struggled with whether I should buy the a7iii or the a6400 and I chose the a6400 just to get familiar with their camera systems and plan to keep it and buy a a7iii in the near future so that I have a great two camera combo!
Oh crap, Manny does it again!
Should I spend 1500$ for new camera or stick with a6000 and buy lenses this coming year 2020?
Can someone please do a direct comparison of the a6600 with 16-55 and a7iii with Tamron 28-75 with image quality / samples / af and noise. I think I know the answer but for the price these are the obvious 2 set ups to directly compare. I love my apsc but for the price and weight Sony is pushing me to go full frame. I’d just like someone to do a detailed comparison
1:27 says to pay attention to the 4k quality. Uploads 360p video. I'm guessing this is some sort of shade thrown at Sony?
Do you event know that if you came too fast, youtube still render it from 360p??
I replayed the intro 10x already! 🤣😂🤣
THAT INTRO WAS WILDDDDDD
I love that intro😅😅. Shout out to Manny!
In a nutshell - buy x-t3 or a7iii
I wish I could afford x-t3, but already bought a6400
you can sell your a6400. would be wise to switch to Fuji, when Sony does have the features you want, it will cost more than you are willing to pay.
@@lostinoc3528 there's a issue with ridicilous overpricing of sony products in my region. They dropped the price right before the announcement. I hardly can sell my camera even 20% cheaper. Overall I'll need about 50% from x-t3 price after I sell a6400. I'm a bit desperate :(
@@jomsies because I can't afford invest in lens, and because that stupid overpricing I wasn't able to afford 18-135 kit, only 16-50, but with the discount I could :(
@@jomsies and I'm mostly video guy, x-t3 have more flexibility in video modes, such as 2k res which is I mostly prefer
@@lostinoc3528 Fuji lenses are hardly cheap, A7III has the largest and best choice of affordable lenses for any mirrorless system to date and you can adapt the vast lens lineup from Canon very successfully too.
I'm also disappointed with Sony Flagship A6600. No 1/8000 sec mech shutter spd, no dual sd card slot, 4-2-2 10-bit videos-which the Fujifilm Xt-3 has.
Why Sony? 🤦🏻♂️
Danny V market segmentation
Agree...its 2019,flagship 1400$ apsc camera,and NO 1/8000?😳
Isn't the Fuji 4-2-0 10 bit internal? 4-2-2 with an Atomos maybe, but that's a whole other product at significant cost. There are things the Fuji doesn't have, like superior autofocus tracking, proxy recording, ibis. So it levels off somewhat on balance.
@@actorsreels1 yes 10 bit 420 internal, but I rather have 10 bit 420 than 8bit 422
@@actorsreels1 Right now you can get the X-H1 with a booster grip for $999. This camera does not feel like a flagship camera given the price. Too many corners cut. The A7iii was such good value when it was introduced- this camera feels at least a few hundred dollars too expensive.
Hahahhah!!! He means nothing to me!!! Ohhh you guys are killing me. Good summary of the new Sony A6600
that intro really is funny as hell haha
I wish you guys had given the 16-55mm its own video, especially for Jordan to talk about. There's no visible focus breathing to speak of, and it's pretty close to being parfocal. It's pretty sharp, but the contrast is what really caught my eye!
This is an honest review but again your honest review. How many pics can you take with the Fuji battery vs Sony Z batt, also eye auto focus far better than the Fuji. Although I like the quality build of the Fuji x3. I like the Sony I’m comfortable using it unlike the Fuji its like learning a new thing it’ll takes time I’ll get it eventually but why I used Sony’s and I like it. My personal opinion.
Good explanation of the new features (or lack thereof) for the Sony a6600. I have the a6500 and after seeing this presentation, don't feel I'll be upgrading to the a6600. Larger battery is nice, but since I'm not a professional, I always have a spare battery with me and normally not a problem to switch out (just need to keep an eye on battery level before I start a potentially long video). I use the pop-up flash on the a6500 a lot. I have a flash that will mount on the the hot shoe, but I have found that the built-in flash typically works just fine for my needs. In fact, the built-in flash seems to work better. Perhaps that's because I opted for a non-Sony flash that was considerably less expensive than the Sony flashes. The only problem I tend to have with the built-in flash is the shadow cast by the lens hood should I have it attached (my dumb fault). I think the eye-focus feature would be great to have, but not worth the extra money to me for the type of videos I shoot. As I have commented in the past, I don't know how Sony is deciding on features to incorporate into upgrades. I really don't think they are listening to "real" customers. Having been an engineer in the past, I know that it is more important to management to achieve a "new" product release date than to delay and capture the complete line of worthwhile "new" features.
I'm waiting for review of S1H
Actually IBIS and video tracking capabilities are much more important to me than anything that xt3 offers. About the rolling shutter, is there really any camera, in this price range, you ever reviewed that handle it well?! I hope a7000 will come out with a better sensor and uhs-ii support.
Great video -
Is anyone ever going to make a vertical grip for a rangefinder-style mirrorless camera? Did the focus groups tell them not to do it?
I have a vertical grip for use on my a6400/a6500.
The way manny ran away 😂
wow, blink and nothing
Video quality is... **FABULOUS**
The lack of built in flash is a deal killer. This series is GREAT for a family camera, always on the go and lightweight. Having built in flash for outdoor fill light and indoor quick pics is a must. Maybe next generation.
I automatically misread your comment as "indoor dick pics" because that's mainly what I use my camera for.gotta have quality dick pics for the ladies.
OMG Jordan! You had a side photographer? XD
Good one
oh man , Manny Ortiz
guest appearing in DP ... these are like crossovers now :D
what do you use to film this video? in the video skin tone feels better than the photo itself...
They said they filmed it with the new a6600
I really like the improvements and direction of the new 6600, but at that price (which I feel is competitive) why wouldn't you just get the a7iii?
There are a few upgrades the 6600 has, but the a7iii is just so good, and only hundreds more.
Nikk I'm currencly asking this myself.
The 6600 would be the better camera. The processor of the A7 III is much weaker, too weak to ever get the current/latest eye AF performance which now becomes standard for the APS-C since a6400.
It probably comes down to the lenses. I'm not happy with the situation for A7. The Tamron 28-75 2.8 has a horrible bokeh, and everyone's primes are overpriced for being unnecessary over-pixelpeepy.
The lens situation has become a true problem for all full frame mirrorless actually. The L mount Alliance has the very same problem, also Nikon and Canon.
Sony a6xxx has at least accesst to some Sigma APS-C primes, which are not that overpriced as the 2-3 times too expensive Fuji stuff.
@@tubularificationed I tried the a6400 when it first came out. Actually bought it as a secondary/backup to my a7riii/a7iii. Figured good backup and great option for just family stuff. Bought it and took it to Bay Beach (amusement park) with wife and kids. Shot around with it extensively.
Ended up returning it and the kit lens, with a %10 restocking fee, and picked up another a7iii.
Personal notes, ergonomics of the "range style" apcs vs full frame bodies, is huge. Chromatic aboration and pixel peeping picture quality (probably also a lens fault more than camera) was just not what i was used to. But the nail in coffin and worth-while restocking fee and added cost of the a7iii, was card write speeds. It just took forever. I like to shoot bursts, I almost always use silent shooting (electronic shutter) and like to shoot some bursts and then flip into video mode. With my a7's depending on the burst duration it might be a few seconds of waiting before i can switch to video mode. But the a6400 took literal minute or two. Also, writing raw to one card and jpeg to another, its those small things that I've come accustomed to since ive gone from a6300/6500 to the a7iii and then a7riii that become immediately apparent when leaving to go back to apsc. The sensor, even though reused, is still "magical".
I had 24-70gm, bought the tamron version instead of the 24-105 as just a nice walk around lens. I like it so much i sold my gm. Very really compared boque, but it never stood out as bothersome or even made me think negatively about it. Also, the 24-70 range isn't what i would use as my lens choice for anything with purposeful boque, like portraits. My 85mm or 70-200gm are just so much better.
The improved processor and autofocus on these newer models. I've just honestly never, ever, thought once that the current autofocus on my cameras wasn't enough. Always use continuous, most times wide area, during events/weddings/sports ill use flexible spot and the joystick (another apsc lacking). And not once let down by autofocus, thats fast action, low light, high/low contrast, etc. I've just never had an issue. Realtime in video, and the wifi teethering on the new a7r4 look promising, but reviews say that 60mp in electronic shutter cannot be read out fast enough. Other than flash use or bad florescent lighting leading to banding, i use electronic shutter religiously. And look forward to an a9 refresh to pick up the original for (fingers crossed) a decent price.
As for lenses, I still have a few apsc emounts i havent crossed over from yet. Sigmas 16/35mm, but the 24mm gm equivalent actually looks to be the superior choice (size/weight/etc) and very impressed with the 55 1.8.
So the size/weight gains from apcs, aren't very different. Pricing, as a whole, not very different. Controls, I'm just spoiled by full frame bodies, card writes, lens choices, low light, crop mode, etc etc. I just can't see how a $1500 camera like the 6600 can compete with the $2000 a7iii. Not saying the 6600 is bad, its definitly Sony's best apsc, and theyre great, but the a7iii is just so darn good. And with premium lens's being affordable on full frame now, Tamrons taking size/weight out of the equation. I just dont see a point to apsc. Anyone with experience, even at $1,000 APSC, looking for an "upgrade", for what you gain going to full frame, i dont see how its not a given.
