- remounting selector box after engine service/tuning, which means removing the engine out of the frame. there is no need to leave box on the engine and remove the cable, unneeded hazzle ;) just pull it, leave it on the frame, then remount it.

Nice. Exactly what I needed to re-install the selector box this morning.
glad to hear that 👍
nice to see clean parts. Used to having rust in the box. Thanks will use new hardware for re-install once cleaned up everything. Thanks
Thank you for help🤙🙏
Dumb question but when you have the selector rod as far out as it will go and attach the gear selector box should the gear selector box be set in neutral?
Thanks.
i have just installed a new selector box on my 150 super,,i am having problem getting the cable tension right,,in which gear (im presuming neutral) do i tighten up the cables? i have done this already but the gear change is difficult and still quite loose.
in neutral
Is it normal for an engine to be tight after a rebuild
Yes, if u round the sharp and often slightly damage sealing surface edges
Are the nuts used on the gear selector the same nuts as used on the engine casing bolts or is the face size larger so requires a larger spanner? I am rebuilding my bike after engine seize. I have 4 nuts. Two large and two small. I am very confused.
I think these nuts are for the spare wheel. I really should have been more organised.
Hi there, I have a oil leak from the gear selectorbox. Will the gear oil also be in the selector box and could it then be a broken gasket ? Thanks a lot, Kim :)
yes, there is gearbox oil in there. and maybe gasket but often edges are too sharp, u need to round case and selector, that its 100% tight
@@FreakMoPed8 Okay thanks for quick answer. :) I will do my best.
