I just bought the pro 4 a couple min ago and they’re amazing. They feel light, confortable and since I have an issue with both Achilles’ tendons, they’re suited for me. They want to go fast effortlessly. Thx for your review, it helped me a lot bro.
Bought the speed 4 and pro 4 this year, love the pro underwelmed by the speed, but have been since V2.

I just bought the pro 4 on Saturday, my first pair of Saucony, and did a 10k race and was pretty happy, I’m normally a new balance person and have only ran in rebel v3 for the last 6 months, and was pretty happy with the feel of these

@@jesustsa1 when I tried them at the store I was sliding around, but after I laced them up to the top eyelets it was fine
I am using the Pro 4 for longer miles and the Pro 3 for speed work. 2 great shoes. Both these shoes are far better than the Speed 2,3 or 4.
Even for more amateur runners would you suggest pro 3/4 over speed? I run at 6 min/km and don’t know how to decide between speed 3 vs speed 4 vs pro 3 vs pro 4
Great video man! Many thanks for all your input and review. What would you recommend for a first time marathoner (myself)? A bit about me - 34, moderate heal striker and supinator, aiming for a 3:30 time. I’ve been battling with shin splints during my training, so need the comfort, but not at the expense of pace. Marathon is the Colfax Marathon in Denver, so it’s a bit hilly. Weather out there is always anyone’s guess..might be wet, might be dry. Price is not a big concern with me as I am happy to spend whatever for a solid investment!
If you had to pick one, which one would you recommend?

Great review. Thank you. I'm an older guy (58), half marathon at 2 hours and marathon at 4 hours 30 minutes. Do I need a plated shoe like the Pro 4 or will the Speed 3/Speed 4 be a better choice for race day. Thank you

The bar is just so high with the endorphin range. It must be really difficult to improve on previous models. Still leading the way as far as brands go

I would get the $140 pro 3 over the pro 4 - too much of a discount to pass up. They're selling the pink version for that right now

I couldn't fit into the Pro 3 at my normal size. I do fit in the Pro 4. I wear a very thin sock and they fit me perfectly. They are roomier. They also don't rub my pinky toe like the Speed 1-4. Pro 4 are my favorite fitting shoe perhaps of all time.

I’ve never found saucony shoes to fit narrow for me and my right foot measures at a small E width 🤷🏻♂️. I always have more room in the toe box on the endorphin line when compared to other shoes too (except NB, they run wide AF)
The EP1 was a bit narrow for me, but I do like it from time to time depending on the type of run I'm on. The EP2 was roomier in the toe box and fits my flat, archless feet just fine. I find the EP3 to be even better in basically all aspects, and I really liked the EP2 (still do most of my runs in them).
I have the Pro 3 and really enjoy it at all paces, and easy to hold a quicker pace because of how well it rolls through your stride. I tried on the Pro 4 yesterday and it has a similar natural rolling stride but felt I had a little heel slip, even with using a runners knot. My biggest problem with Saucony shoes (Pro 3 included) is the use of the stretchy laces. I find that the laces tend to loosen up throughout the run which requires me to cinch down tighter initially to the point that it’s almost too tight. Do you know of a place to order replacement Vaporfly (ribbed edges) style laces?
That's a really good question - I'll do some digging and see if I can find any of those replacement laces online. If not wanna go half on a bulk order from Vietnam? 😂
I’m only looking a blue pair for my Endo Pro 3 (Superblue/Slime colorway) and a white pair for my Atreyu Race Model that will be delivered tomorrow. I’m done tons of searching with no luck finding that style of laces.

Would you pick the pro 3 if it were priced at $150 vs the 4 at $230?
What is your take on the Pro 4 vs. the TYR Valkyrie Carbon Elite? From the ride perspective..... or even against the Pro 3. From the initial perspectives I got from your earlier takes on them, I am guess the TYR seems/feels similar to Saucony?
Comparing the pro 3 to the TYR. I’m a slower heavier runner and for faster runs I prefer the pro 3, the pro 3 feels like it rolls through faster for me. I like the TYR and use it for longer slower runs and use the pro 3 for race day because it feels just a bit faster at my 10 min per mile pace. I will say I only have 12 miles on the TYR so far so may change as I use it more. Both are comfortable and stable for me.
@@davidg9120 That is very good to know. I am also a slow and heavier runner and am looking to pickup a pair of TYR. I have had experiences with Pro 3 (although I bought the wrong size back then) so would like to use that a a gauge for me to "imagine" what the TYR will be like.
Thanks to David for sharing his perspective 🙌🏽 and in terms of the pro 4, it's softer and more comfortable than both the Pro 3 and TYR. They are all similar but the TYR has a firmer more rockered ride in the forefoot - pro 4 feels a little more relaxed. The TYR also has a wider base and a little more stability while the Pro 4 has a bit more bounce
So, i am a 2E but i can squeeze into the Pro 3 with no issues. How is the upper regarding volume in the Pro 4
It's a little roomier than the pro 3 and has a bit more stretch from the stretchy tongue being integrated - I absolutely love the pro 4 upper. Simple upgrade from pro 3 but really well executed
How does the Pro 4 compare against the SC Elite V4 in terms of speed or bounciness? The SC Elite V4 is still a "tamer" super shoe compared to some others out there. Do you feel Saucony now has put the Pro 4 behind NB and their racing shoes?
I have both. I prefer the Pro 4. I find Pro 4 more comfortable and faster. SC Elite is roomier, lower drop, and puts me more on my heel. Pro 4 roles me through easier. If by chance you own both -- one trick is to use the Pro 4 insole in the SC Elite. That improves the SC Elite ride. Still prefer Pro 4.
How stable are the 4s?
Pro 3 in pink on sale for $135 as of today. Snagged a pair. Killer deal. Haven’t tried the 4s, but the 3s are my fav.

Yowana I think I have wide feet but the fit in the endorpin speed 3 is perfect. Do you think the fit in the pro 3 is similar?
Speed 3 rubbed my pinky toe, the Pro 4 don't. The Speed 3 was still roomier in some areas, but the Pro 4 is more comfortable for me in the toe box.

the pro 3 is narrower and more similar to the metaspeed shoes. the pro 4 has a nice and roomy wide toebox
Curious how you'd compare the Speed 4 to the SC Trainer V2 for easy runs and longer runs. Primary goal is cushion and protection.
SC Trainer v2 all the way for that use case! There's more foam, it's softer and it rolls you along at any pace without encouraging you to run faster than you want to. Speed 4 rewards a faster pace and felt awkward and clunky for more relaxed miles. I took both past 23 and preferred the sc trainer v2 for those 2+ hour runs without any race pace
@supwell thanks for the response. How about SC Trainer V2 vs Mach 6? I have the Novablast 3 and I just don't think it's enough for long runs, so not sure I want to go Novablast 4, or SC Trainer...or Mach 6
@@grey_fox7 I'd take sc trainer v2 over Mach 6 for long runs as well - stability is better and the plate gives it more pop when you're taking it past 90 minutes. Also the Mach 6 has worked best for me when I want to run fast while the sc trainer v2 works well at those relaxed paces. Novablast 4 might be my favorite relaxed long run shoe though - tons of cushion and support that feels great even at that three hour mark. I didn't run in the novablast 3 but the 4 is a great shoe for time on feet
Do you have an opinion on what would be suitable for the Hyrox. Female 53 not a runner 😅😅 CrossFit. Bad knees and hips but need runners to do the 8 x 1km race. I tried to get pro 3 but sold out. So pro 4. Speeds any good? Any suggestions ?
check out the tyr valkyrie elite carbon or tyr valkyrie speedworks. they are designed for more stability and have a wider base - also are designed for bigger runners/crossfit athletes. here are the videos i did:

the main difference is the valkyrie elite has a carbon plate and the speedworks has a plastic plate. elite is more like the pro 4 and speedworks is more like the endorphin speed (i don't recommend the saucony endorphin speed 4 - it didn't work well for me and had an awkward feel)

Hey bro. Is running full marathon distances in training a good idea in a training block? Especially running sub 3s if you’re a 1:23 half marathoner? Just think that would exhaust you in the long term and you’ll see diminished returns as a result. Not criticizing just not sure that’s optimal training. Congrats on the unofficial sub 3 though

And what do you think of Pro 3 for a heavy runner about 90-95 kg with 05:30 min/km marathon pace? In fact, I'm currently choosing Saucony's lightweight running shoes for the marathon and all the lightest ones come with a plate.
That's because all the "lighter" ones are racing shoes that have carbon plates in them 😂.

Personally man go with something like hoka Clifton, Saucony triumph, hoka boni, NB super trainer. It will save your joints until you lose some of that weight. Then jump into a plated shoe

Is this a stability shoe for pronation? How is it different from the endorphin shift?
The endorphin pro is a race day shoe designed for speed - it's softer and bouncier than the endorphin shift and doesn't have as much support for overpronation. I really enjoyed the endorphin shift and am bummed Saucony isn't continuing it into 2024. They are replacing it with the new guide 17, so if you need a replacement for the endorphin I would check that out - it has the same foam and a similar curved rocker platform

A question.
I just ordered Endorphin pro 3s yesterday because they were 60% off.
So now I have Adizero prime x2 strung, Adizero Boston 12s and Asics Novablast 3s for my rotation.
I run 3 times a week. Given the reviews of pro 3s, should I use it just once a fortnight? Im asking this because most people have opined that it may not be suitable for very frequent running.
Just help me out, anyone.

I have about 300 miles on my pro 3 and they're still doing well. I wouldn't worry too much about the durability unless you want to get peak performance in a race - I found that they had the most pop in the first 100 miles but still bouncy and fun after thay

Yeah definitely man - I've used the pro 3 for every pace and it's great. Also a few other runners at that race pace range have recently told me they love it
My running shoes have always been neutral.
At this stage, I am not in marathon mode ... mostly recreational jogs 4 - 5 days per week. ...occasional 5K
I tried the Nike Vaporfly running shoes and they were soooo aggressive that the strain on my heel area caused a lot of problems. For me, at my pace, they were very difficult to wear for my runs
The Saucony Men's Endorphin Pro 2 has been the perfect running shoe. So much so … that I bought as many as I could as they were being phased out ... stacks
I am now looking for a new running shoe.
Is the Asics Metaspeed Edge comparable to the Saucony Men's Endorphin Pro 2 ?
Any thoughts on a comparable running shoe to the old Saucony Men's Endorphin Pro 2 ? ...something not sooo aggressive/less stable that it puts enormous strain on my heel area
I would suggest either the hoka Mach 6 or Diadora Gara. Mach 6 is $140 and one of my favorite training shoes for shorter runs - it has a fun ride with a really bouncy foam while still remaining comfortable and now putting strain on your legs. If you want a little more aggressive/race feeling shoe and have a bigger budget, then I'd suggest Diadora Gara - it's $300 but a great replacement for the endorphin pro 2 as it has a bouncy ride with a similar soft foam and the carbon plate. The endorphin pro 4 at $225 would also be a great replacement - similar to Gara but a little less aggressive. Either of those last two options might be overkill for your use case - but if you want that race shoe feeling they're two of these best ones for what you're looking for

Maybe it’s just me, but l’m not a fan of the changes they made to this shoe. The 3’s are still my favorite and they’re on sale right now.
If I can find the 3 at a discount is it worth it to still get the 4?
great question and depends what you're looking for! the 3 is a little more aggressive and feels faster, and the 4 is a lot more comfortable for training. so the 4 would be worth it if you plan to do a lot of training runs in it
I found the Pro 3 to be a bit too soft for my liking and I had very high hopes for the Pro 4. Unfortunately, the Pro 4 toe box is ridiculously snug. A real shame too, because the midsole HG/PB combo felt really nice and responsive.
I found the same thing with the toes with the pro 4 I had to return them. Some shoes I can size up by 1/2 and solves toe rub issues not yet sure if that’s the case for the pro 4
Strange. I couldn't fit into the Pro 3. Pro 4 feels wider in toe box to me. I fit great in the Pro 4.
Would you say the Pro 4 feels more like an improved Triumph 20/21?
Both are comfortable and have a nice bounce underfoot but the Pro 4 feels a lot lighter and faster on foot. Also when running at my marathon pace the Pro 4 has a lot more bounce and pop from the carbon fiber plate. I love the triumph for long runs without race pace and would take the pro 4 for any runs where I'm adding in race pace

Yeah exactly - it can do everything that shoe does but better. Pro 4 feels better than the speed 4 even for my recovery pace

Pro 3 was much better. I was not a fan of the Pro 4 so I returned them.

Got the Pro 3 for $105 after tax and felt like I got the steal of the summer!! The shoe is incredible for race paced speed workouts and long runs
