Love Saucony and adidas the most . And I’ve tried most brands. Takumi sen 9 for shorter races , endorphin pro 4 on the way for marathons. Tempus and ride 16 for daily miles , and prime strung x2 for longer runs especially when I include strides in them . Adidas lifting shoes for leg days especially . Did try the gel nimbus 25 , was not impressed , as well as many brooks shoes which were retired to be my daily walking shoes . I get people liking the vaporfly , but everyone has different mechanics , and the durability of them is a dealbreaker for me . I’d rather be 10 seconds slower in a 5k , and have the shoe last an extra 100-200 miles , not like I’m racing for prizes with my 210 lbs body and 22 min 5k pb 🤣
Love the adios pro 3 but I’m interested in going with the endorphin pro 4 ! Looks amazing and I love the triumph 21, speed 3. Saucony is killing it lately
I bought the speed and pro 4 as I couldn’t decide. Have ended up keeping both the speed as a daily trainer is fab and the move to race day shoe ‘seems’ very natural due to similarities
Thanks a lot for the comparisons between super shoes! I am enjoying the Saucony Endorphin Pro V4 and Hoka Rocket X 2 three days. Both are very light, propulsive, and comfy. 😊 I am looking forward to NB SC Trainer 3 and Hoka Rocket X 3.
I'm in 5k-10k running, and a heel striker weighing 80kg 5'10", have never tried super shoes (or any shoes with a carbon plate). Currently looking for one with plate and thinking of endorphin pro4, what do you think would that be a good choice? Because I've got mixed opinions about them. Initially i was thinking of buying endorphin speed 3, but those are for mid/fore foot striking.
Always appreciate your view Ed. The one thing I never really hear shoetubers mention is if the new models are worth buying when you already have say an adidas pro 3. I know a lot get there shoes for free to put up on UA-cam so tend to forget the price. For me the saucony pro 4 wasn't worth spending £225 when I already have the the adidas pro 3. I don't think it did anything new to justify the outlay or change. Also I've heard people picking up the pro 3 at adidas outlets for £90 in certain colours. Now that is a bargain.
Glad I came across this review caught the endorphin 4s on sale for my first big running shoe purchase and hoping I love them only had hokas before but couldn’t justify spending $200 for shoes 😅
The toe box on the carbon shoes just seem to breathable and flimsy. Ive got through 2 pairs of endolphin pro 3s , which are my all time best so far.but it doesn't help as i use them everyday.can they just use a thicker material in the toe box. Is the Endorphin speed a good replacement for my pro 3s as a daily? Always look forward to next vid.
Just got to 75 miles on my Adidas adios pro 3s and decided to pull the trigger on a second pair to stash away for this summer. I skip the middle lace crossing and get the lockdown I need without the lace bite
It's a toss up between the Vaporfly 3s and the Pro 3s for the marathon. Got a second hand pair of the former with 30 miles in them off Ebay. Yet to test them but felt fine on 13 mile MP run last week in V1s. My Pro 3s, like a fine wine, just mature with mileage. Currently on 370 miles and still the go to for long runs. I'd probably need a fresh pair for Manchester and a few runs to get them broken in so decision time. On your analysis, I'm not looking for a versatile all-rounder as i have the Takumi SEN for 5k and 10k. Just the best option marathon shoe.
Adios pro 3 best all round by a mile for me! Lasts 400+ miles as well so great value, got my last 2 pairs for £116 including shipping each from sportsshoes
What about for us middle of the pack runners, older short guy with a 8 min/mile marathon pace? I tried the Endorphin Pro 3 last year and just couldn’t generate any speed in them and my legs were trashed the next day both times I tired them. I use the Asics Metaspeed Edge + and I’m waiting on the Paris Edge.
I never understood why they put the strobel board back into the invincible 3 . the first two invincibles where so much better and I think not having the board in them was a big part of the reason
Complete tangent but: any rumours on a Superblast 2? Having seen this and a few others where the discussion is about altering shoes for the worse - the FOD and Novablast 4 - I'm worried about them breaking the Superblast and might get a back up pair
Can the endorphin pro 4 be used for any sort of regular training? I have a pair of brooks glycerin max that are going to be used for 90% of my long runs and I've just bought a pair of endorphin pro 4 that I plan to use for my marathon next April but also want to do some training in them. After stepping in to then they're extremely comfortable and cushioned and seem pretty stable with some durable rubber on the outsole, it would be a shame to save these purely for race day 🙁
