Yessss, i have no idea why :(........ it was working fine and i could actually play but then when i tried to put in the usb it just wouldnt load for some reason..... got any fix for it ??
So PS2 and PSP isos still need to run from internal hdd, I prefer ftp transfer to usb method which is twice slower. Edit: I notice it took ~5 mins (from 2:13pm - 2:18pm on your time stamp) to completely mount/copy over 4GB iso to internal hdd via usb so it's ~ 15-18MB/s transfer rate which is on par with ftp's speed. But not long ago when I copied iso from external hard drive to PS3 internal one, (via irisman file manager), it was only ~8-10MB/s, that's weird.
Have you tried connecting your computer directly to your ps3, using an ethernet cable? Tons of tutorials on how to do that, basically connect the cable to both computer and ps3 LAN ports, you'll then need to manually set up the network connection on the ps3 and computer. Set the IP address for the computer to 1.1.1.1 and on the ps3, set the IP as 1.1.1.2. Everything else stays the same, as far as network connection settings. Then, download an FTP client, or run the one you're already using, and have it connect to 1.1.1.2 from your computer side, and watch the magic happen. I've seen speeds of more than 25mb/sec, which is stupid fast!
Excellent thank you i had abit of a problem the screen would go black. So i had to switch off the ps3 when i pressed x on prepISO. So what i did was refreshed webman games and xmb. Then enabled dev for some reason prepISO kept making the screen black. My ps3 is the very first ps3 fat European model
I have a Toshiba external hard drive that has 1 TB. Can I use it? Its already in NTFS. It also has some of my files which I backed up. While I need to transfer them to my PC first or can I keep them?
As always great video sir! but I have a question, What if I like to copy and save my ps3 games on the Ps3 HDD is it possible to copy it? so that I won't need to plug my external HD/USB whenever I'll play. if not is there other way? Thank you so much.
i have a problem running ps2 iso on my jailbroken ps3 running rebug, it will play them fine using webman mod and multiman the problem is the ps3 gets really hot while playing them, ps3 game loaded from iso will run fine with no overheating issues though. i have changed the thermal paste but nothing changed. is there somthing im missing or is the ps3 just really not powerful enough to emulate ps2?
default fan settings in webman mod for PS2 is 40% speed, you can increase to 60-70% to avoid overheating problem. Also with webman mod installed, you can press PS home butto while playing to bring the in-game menu on, then press select+start at the same time and hold for few seconds, webman will display current temp of the console, press select+start 2nd time and hold for few seconds, there will be a beep and notification will stay there and give you temp update for every 5s. This way you can monitor the console temp and adjust fan speed to avoid overheat.
I've done all these steps, however, when I load a PS2 game, it does not load..comes up with an error code... Would really appreciate if you or someone can help me in playing PS2 iso games Update: would really appreciate if you could respond

I was hoping i can use my ntfs external drive to transfer my pkg files to the ps3 so i can install them directly from there. FAT32 is NOT an option in this case as a lot of the pkgs are >4GB which is why i was looking for an ntfs method. looks like I'll have to use FTP which is freaking slow.

You fixed this yet?
I had this problem too, apparently the drive needs to be formatted to Master Boot Record, not GUID Partition Table. Hope this helps
@@fuzziballgaming5646 yeah same. bought a 2tb drive and couldnt get it to show. mbr format fixed my issue
I think I’ve watched this a million times with my ps3 controller in my hand, it’s all good hahaha

Appreciate your tutorials.
My webman must've not been installed correctly. The webman games folder isn't showing up but I have a folder just saying webman mod. How do I access the subfolders?
Same here, did you got it resolved?
@@paaableras yeah I think I got the wrong version. Look for the latest update and or uninstall any other versions. I downloaded like 3 of them and after I uninstalled every one and just got the latest version everything worked fine
16:35 How do I get the game icons to show up here instead of just the generic disk icon?
None of the folders are showing up…

@@therealovidox I’m going to be honest I have no idea what it’s about.
Don’t press the x button when ur in prepISO holt it till the screen come back ( it work for me)
if your Fan is on max speed on start up go to webman setup and choose SYSCON instead
Would be better to open up your console, clean it, and repaste it.
Wait, wait, wait... so now, are we not limited to MBR partitions?
Are you saying we can now format larger external drives (≥3tb) GPT and it would be recognized?... or are the limts still MBR and ≤2tb?
You forgot that information... again.
Did you know, you don't have to re-run prepISO if you disable scanning on startup in Webman's menu. Just rescan when you update your games on the drive or switch USB ports.
ALSO, I thought you could play PSP games directly from a FAT32 drive too (why not state that in this video?)
...Love your videos otherwise
I have webman mod installed, as well as multiman, rebug cfw, and cobra. When I run the prepntfs and exfat thing, after that, my drive still isn't detected. My drive is ntfs, and folder placement is correct, so I don't know why if isn't getting detected.
Make sure your partition is formatted as MBR, not GPT. MrMario replied to a similar issue below.
Am I able to copy them on my hdd and not launch them with the USB flash? Plz answer
I'm getting error codes when trying to boot my copied ps3 iso games, How come? I did the samething that you did.
me too idk what to do its only ps3 games
What tool would you guys use to copy these games to the internal hdd? I really can't find anything about copying the games, most people play them off the external storage. I don't have any big external hard drives to spare and want to copy the games.
Awesome tutorial, thank you so much.!
My psp launchers keep getting corrupted after I install them. Also whenever I try to run them after it says the psp iso is loaded it gives me an 800100016 when I open either psp launcher. I'm running Rebug CEX 4.86 on a PS3 Slim
Not sure if this is much help but every time you reset you should turn on hen, I've found with 800100016 errors it's usually cause you have to re enable hen
@@Gilbert823 I don't even have HEN, but I think it's supposed to work on Rebug anyway right? I was able to install psp games as .pkgs though so I got around this error.
@@fusobotic did you ever figure this out? same thing is happening with me. how do you install psp games as pkgs?
@@kevinspann4532 Just google PSP .pkg files. I can't provide a reliable source. Also not every game works on PS3 pkg or iso. I wasn't able to fix it but I'm guessing if I used a different firmware or something it would fix it.
I have a CECHA01 model and everything is working great, except for PS2 games. Whenever I try to run the ISO, it says "An error occurred during the start operation (80028F18)". Any idea of what might be causing this? Thank you in advance!
I've got the same model and all my PS2 ISOs have worked for me this way, I haven't run into that error.
@@MrMario2011 Seems like loading the ISOs from mmCM directly and then starting the game from XMB works. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Seems like everything is working well now; the culprit appeared to be a badly ripped ISO. Made a new rip and everything is working 100%!
I ran evilnat 4.87,i have followed every step of the the video and I can't get ps2 games to work. I made the ps2iso folder but it is not visible. Ps3 and ps1 games work fine but ps2 games don't even show up.
I am getting this error 80010017 on ps3hen enabled console. Can you please give a solution on how to fix this? Im unable to play TLOU, Batman Arkham City etc. It would be a great help if you try to make video around it
Also, tried this trick i was able to launch the game from XMB but again i got the error of 80010017
for some reason my USB isn't ever popping up, is there a size issue, if its too big it cant be read?
How do you make a memory card for the psp ? I'm unable to save my games
Hi there! Thanks for this video! Its amaizing! Finaly i understand! Thank you!😊
Glad it was helpful!
I did exactly as in the video but my hard drive is not showing any ps3 game... i kept my TLOU iso in the PS3ISO folder on my hard drive but not showing... please help
amazing i know 4 years old but still helped me :D
Can someone help me? Can mutiMAN read (or be made to) read exFAT and NTFS formats? I want to install my games on the hard drive.
One of my plugins isn't playing nice with the others. I noticed multiman freezing on boot after installing and hen having a rough time enabling. I uninstalled the new plugins and it's all working just fine. I'm going to try uninstalling one at time to figure out which one isn't cooperating.
Amazing work keep it up😎😎
Thanks!
What is the max internal hard drive size you can have and also is their a limit on size for external hard drives?
Did you ever figure this out?
@@michaeldunn5788 It seems to be 1.5 tb at least that's what most people say.
@@michaeldunn5788 On a external you can have 2tb.
Thanks for help! But I have a question, does PS3 games played directly from USB or external HDD (NTFS) run slower or have any significant performance concern? I know for a fact that is a issue on the PS2 console but I have no idea if it is the same on PS3, Thanks again!
Not sure about what USB port the PS3 uses, but PS2 only has cutscene loading issues due to the fact it uses USB 1.1 or something
@@VegasA3 ps3 uses a better and modified USB 2.0 port that is 457 Mbps
@@khaled-b.971 thanks for the info, after a bit of research with hacking the ps3 I'm pretty sure the best solution is to use the USB to install the game onto the ps3

When making the ISO folders, does the storage device have to be completely empty, or can it already have files on it? For some reason, my isos and my package files aren't showing up on my exfat or ntsf.
Yessss, i have no idea why :(........ it was working fine and i could actually play but then when i tried to put in the usb it just wouldnt load for some reason..... got any fix for it ??

@@kjmullinz hi, bro if you still haven't got a fix for that, i suggest you use multiman.

🤷♂️
Awesome tut! may i ask what resolution size you had for those psx covers? thanks!
512x505 I believe
I was asking the same thing
i have a problem running ps2 iso on my jailbroken ps3 running rebug, it will play them fine using webman mod and multiman the problem is the ps3 gets really hot while playing them, ps3 game loaded from iso will run fine with no overheating issues though. i have changed the thermal paste but nothing changed. is there somthing im missing or is the ps3 just really not powerful enough to emulate ps2?
Set the PS2EMU fan speed higher in webMAN MOD. PS2 makes the console run hot.
@@MrMario2011 gotcha! it was bugging the crap out of me. thanks for the reply bud
default fan settings in webman mod for PS2 is 40% speed, you can increase to 60-70% to avoid overheating problem.
Would really appreciate if you or someone can help me in playing PS2 iso games
Update: would really appreciate if you could respond

I followed every step but when I tried to load the ps2 game it told me there was an error. webman error says "Path not found" dev_bdvd. Can u help? Thank you.
19:43 someone can help me he start copie ps2 iso after mounting it but said error and close 1 sec after he start copie i have 7,3 gig free space it'e enough the files make 2.3 gig
Heya! Happy New Years,
How do I transfer my PS3 games from the external drive to my internal drive?
I see that you said to use a "File Manager" in the comment section, but is that another homebrew?
I tried the file manager through Multiman, but the external drive doesn't come up.
I would appreciate the help! Thanks!
multiMAN requires some additional steps to recognize NTFS or exFAT drives, the File Manager I mentioned is quite literally called File Manager and is a homebrew program.
@MrMario2011 thanks! I'll check that out, I see on Brewology there's "Simple File Manager". I'll download that tonight and get to work.
I appreciate your work, giving life to my consoles again haha.
How would i go about for installing PS3 Game Updates/DLCs with PS3hen since PS3 games are in ISO format?
Also can you make a tutorial on how to upgrade hard drives when you already have cfw installed like rebug?
