It's so funny to me that since the DLC release, all the special runs and stuff for DLC have been like "yada yada base game, ANYWAYS HERES 3 HOURS OF SOTE WOOOOOOOO" And personally Im just excited to see the runs going through all of base game AND DLC, shits aboutta be 12 hour long videos every other month
i think its better at the moment for more dlc focused runs, runs like this highlight the best of the new items and shine light on things that you would have never thought to be pretty good
My favourite part about the DLC is FromSoft giving us some really sick new spells and then making bosses that don't give you a long enough window to cast any of the sick new spells

Yeah, honestly thats why I think Bayle’s flame lightning is just a better version of it. It is slightly slower but deals about 80% more damage and has infinite hyperarmor. I think he is honestly underrating that one compared to Messmer’s flame orb.
@tinminator8905 Bayle's flame lightning doesn't even have infinite hyperarmor. It's like a worse version of dragonmaw's. You can even see Gino getting hit by Gaius while he's midair but then getting canceled out of it right before the slam actually happens
@@nem6191 It does. There are attacks that knock you down no matter your poise. Anyone who has used the ironjar aromatic, which also grants infinite poise knows what I am talking about. I assure you, I have tanked 5+ hits from bosses such as Rellana and never got cancelled out of it. I also assure you that dragonmaw is far worse, as it is slightly slower and deals way less damage.
@tinminator8905 Maybe because im not intentionally trying to get knocked out of attacks but I've never gotten dragonmaw canceled, while I've definitely had Flame Lightning get knocked by the same attacks. Dragonmaw is also not slower, yes it has higher windup but the recovery is lower. And the damage difference I find is a fair tradeoff because it's more consistent (ive had times where even though the visual hit by all means, only the lingering magma did damage for example), it still does absurd damage upwards of 4k if you hit with the actual jaw, it does far more poise damage, and I much prefer pure physical damage over a 3 way split between physical, lightning and fire
@@tinminator8905 Ironjar does not remotely grant infinite poise. Its only like a 70% or so increase. Also, some of those were bugged, like Bayles spells, and have been fixed now if it hasnt been mentioned (I just HAD to comment on the one VERY wrong comment).
fun fact: bayles tyrany is buffed by: 1. fire buffing effects 2. lighting buffing effects 3. magma buffing effects (talisman of the dread) 4. Roar medalion im not sure if bayles flame lightning gets buffed by talisman of the dread but its still really good
A tip for Midras Frenzied Flame: You can use Howl of Shabrir continuously to proc Madness on yourself, and equip the new Talisman that reduces buildup after proc. Then get Aged ones exultation + Maddening Hand + Frenzy Flame Seal offhand Proceed to obliterate Bosses with the slower madness buildup and insane damage. Not the best boss killer spell but one of the most fun imo
@@dbishim6409against any bosses that are large and weak to fire, the unending frenzy is just a really high DPS fire incant (Midra's Flame of Frenzy is kinda just a downgraded version unfortunately). obviously bosses can't be procced with madness itself, but the spells do really good damage aside from that.
I swear, Rain of Fire has to be bugged or not receive a whole slew of scaling or smth. It is comically underpowered for what looks like a multihit spell that doesn't have the fastest cast animation, doesn't really track so the STATIONARY effect actually lands.
Someone made a post about it but the tldr is that most of the incants and spells dont look like they were tested at all. Most dont work with the talismans they should, others are straight up unusable like rain of fire (which anyone would instantly see if they tested it). Bayle's dragon incant supposedly only hits a single target

I honestly hate how the devs make this cool spells and make them take 3 in game years of casting and then IF you manage to not get hit while charging you have NO hyper armor, that sucks soooooo much and always dissuades me from magic builds

I was chatting with a friend, going over the DLC spells, the ones I had, anyway. I think I started with the new lightning spear, and immediately realized it was a powerhouse. After realizing most of the spells were fairly solid, my friend mentioned rain of fire, and I was like, oh yeah, i should try that. I did, and said to my friend "it's like founding rain of stars, but an incant" and the immediate response was "oh, so it's useless, got it"

That’s my favorite part. I wish it was longer. I don’t play the game a lot so I normally follow other builds and gino went from followable to I need to look up everything and mark it on the map.
The Bayle incantations are pretty cracked for everything EXCEPT Bosses. Endure + Bayles Tyranny oneshots easily in PvP with a pretty regular build without applying buffs and clears every Elite to Easy enemy for free because of the Hyperarmor and knockback. 26 Mind to cast it 3 Times. Probably an S Tier incantation for a regular playthrough Flame Lightning is a worse Dragonclaw, but its just fun to use and it does Physical, Flame and Lightning damage.
To be fair, the enemy you used rain of fire and the lightning incantation on was in water, so the fire was debuffed, and the lightning damage was buffed so the rain of fire would've probably dealt like 20 more damage

I prefer Gino for long-form content, but I think Rusty. might be better for how to use them. Like Gino F-ranked Electrocharge, but I was bullying invaders with it because of the initial damage burst. Also watched Distortion do a porcupine only run, and it was surprisingly good damage, despite the spell being a bit silly to use.
1:52:20 I’ve looked at the game files and I think I can explain it, when it clones the lightning spell for water it uses the ID of the spell I think not the bullet/projectile so it seems to be cloning the high damage center projectile for all of them instead of 1 high damage and the rest lower damage. That’s my best guess without access to the actual game code.

I prefer the orbital strike honestly, because its a fucking magic orbital strike. I wish it was available earlier, but it makes sense its so late, its quite strong. It just took too damned many slots for me to use it much. So many cool spells.

21:18 You’re using it in all of the wrong situations. It’s clearly intended for 1) very large enemies with a big top-down surface area (like Founding Rain of Stars), or 2) groups of fire weak enemies like the finger creepers in the Metyr quest areas of the dlc. Using it on a small knight, who is standing in water, in the rain, is not where you’re intended to use it. On the other hand, that is the PERFECT situation for knights lightning spear.
I wonder if the Knight's Lightning Spear effect in water is based on the fact it's a multi-hit. Using arbitrary numbers, if the original spear does 2000 damage, and the 6 extra spears do 300 each, they're getting a bonus 10(?)% in water. So instead of doing 2200 in water with the extra spears and bonus at 1980, it's instead using the original damage value an extra six times. 2000+200, 6*300(spear damage)+6*200(water damage) So rather than 2000+1800=3800 dry 2200+1980=4180 wet it's 2200+1800+1200=6200 wet
It doesnt, unless that was changed in the patch. Id still use base Lightning Spear personally. Unless that was fixed and theyre wet it still does about 75% of the damage, but is mich cheaper and faster. Still a cool spell and I AM a lightning magic Abuser
I figured out the Midra tracking bug. The light of Miquella autoaims to the nearest enemy in your LoS even if its behind 4 dimensions and 50 walls. Wich means fromsoft stores the body of the big Midra behind the wall. In Enir Illim if you spawn at the pre final boss grace and free aim it down the stairs, the light goes down in the building trying to hit the closest enemy, the lion masked guy.
The funniest thing? You used Rock Heart for most of the run, and if you used Priestess Heart, then KLS would've done 20% more damage. Edit: And you swap to it at 1:56:04, heh.
To be honest, except fhe legendary and physical version I hated them, but Ghostflame Breath is so broken (unless the patch nerfed it), and it looks so cool. I might try a Dragon Communion run. Almost said legendary versions then remembered Placidusaaxs Rain isnt actually Dragon Communion. Probably still use it though.
So here's my theory of what happened to Rain of fire. Miyazaki played Gothic and for some reason decided to make its power literally opposite to what it was.
The use case for light of miquella imo is the fact that even if you're hit out of it, the second you press the button it will come out no matter what. So if you use it point blank then get smacked, it still hits them, and if they're in an animation, they just eat it
That must have been fixed in the patch, cause when I used it if I was knocked out, it never happened, like everything else. Thanks for the info, thats the coolest spell in the game.

I’ve seen many people complain about miquellas light but in invasions it’s INSANELY good. It’s range is ridiculous and if you catch someone in like any animation it’s a guaranteed hit.
I think its the coolest looking spell in the game, but sucks it costs so many memory slots, since the Circlet of Light is the coolest headgear in the game. Theres just too many cool spells.
Watchful spirit only locks on to the thing you're currently locked on to when you cast, so if you switch targets or cast it locked off, it won't track your current target I think the suggestion to use it on invisible enemies is interesting, like if you cast it while you see them, yeah it works and each projectilec will still track after losing lock on. But literally any other spell that just tracks the nearest enemy would work better, like glintblades.
I think it's dumb that some of the NPC quests require you to summon them INSIDE a boss fight now, when all the bosses are so aggressive the second you walk through the fog wall. The amount of summons in general that are placed inside the boss' arena is dumb.
You literally do not have to summon any NPCs to complete their quest. The only one that is affected by not summoning is Hornsent, but it’s just a different ending to his quest. You still get all of his gear regardless.
I never had that issue honestly, and the first npc I was able to summon inside the fog was Igon (never got any others summon sign, Igons RIGHT on the path). "CURSE YOU BAYYYYLE!!!"
the reason why bayles tyranny missed bosses a few times is because it's currently bugged and the initial explosion can only hit one target. So in the renalla fight one of the sweetings took the blast and that's why the first cast didn't hit her
When I got the Minor Erdtree spell I was like "Oh, that's actually so cool! Glad that's finally a spell." I can't describe the disappointment I felt when I finally saw what it looks like.
In case anyone sees this, and you want to use one of the dragon hearts, be sure you fundamentally learn the major difference between Dragon Cult Incantations and Dragon Communion Incantations ;) The Priestess one is for the CULT whereas the rock heart is for COMMUNION. They do not do both lol. Alternatively, learn the damage differences between a spell focus that has a 10 - 20% damage boost but low scaling vs no boost and high scaling. The Dryleaf and Spiral Seals are literally the worst focus items in the game due to having the worst scaling lol. Even if you dual wield them, the bonus to the specific incants they do still does less than just using a Golden Order Seal. Offhand it and stick with either Golden Order or Dragon Communion seals.
I actually did pay attention when I got the Priestess Heart, but I was stoned so still tried to buff Ghostflame Breath with it🤣 Then I remembered, but since I was stoned went back and checked anyway, and sure enough I was being an idiot cause I knew that anyway. I also prefer the Golden Order Seal and I usually have equal intelligence and faith, and with an A scaling in both it has the highest incant scaling for me. It even outdamages things like the Gravel Stone Seal for Dragon Cult spells, the Communion Seal for Dragon Communion spells (stoned again, almost typed something else🤣), and the Godslayers Seal for Black Flame spells. I sold it cause I was gonna start a new game and just transfer the Godslayers Seal so I had 2, but decided to keep the character cause I ended up getting the money for the dlc day 1. With I knew I was gonna get that money from uber.
Light of Miquella having insane range is nice. It's not winning any awards for DPS or efficiency given how slow and expensive it is, but the fact that it has insane range makes it have at least a use case in clearing areas, which is nice, because there's enough boss killers. I feel like Watchful Spirit would be fine at its current damage if it lasted like 30-60 seconds like a buff instead of for like 3 shots. Then it would provide some extra DPS and harry NPCs and occasionally stagger things without being broken and, tbh, it'd be neat to have proper auxiliary spells that aren't just the phalanax-type spells which fire for one shot. I'm convinced that Rain of Fire is meant to do 10x more damage. Like, if it did 10x more damage, it'd be right about what you'd expect from a midrange-to-decent incantation which is too slow and inconsistent to really use effectively but at least is, y'know, something. And it'd be so easy to just forget a 0. Surely that's it? Because like. It was doing 600 damage per cast to the avatar fully buffed when Catch Flame did 3500. So if it did 6000, that'd still be
Thankfully Rain of Fire was buffed, though as Ive beaten the dlc, have Hundred Heroes, and my Dragon's Dogma data seems to have disappeared, I havent gotten to play with it since the buff. I so wanted it to be good. Light of Miquella is the coolest looking spell in the game, but yeah, costs too much (for me in memory slots, and theres too many cool spells) for me to use too much. Especially since the Circlet of Light is the coolest headgear in the game.
Would be very down to see a DLC unique ash of war only run (Where you just spawn a crap ton of larval tears in to switch up ur stats to use the weapons)
I hope Fromsoft get around to patching the game again some time this quarter. Half the spells that should be getting boosted by certain pieces of equipment aren't, Furious Blade of Ansbach still doesn't have its bleed buildup, making it effectively just a very sub-par fire spell with awkward stat requirements and the balancing is still all over the place. Rain of Fire deals almost no damage in spite of having a high faith requirement, Divine Bird Feathers is three times less FP efficient as it is probably supposed to be (in case you're wondering: If you channel it, it tics for damage every .3 seconds but uses FP every .1 seconds) and Impenetrable Thorns deals an absurd amount of damage and bleed buildup in spite of only costing 15 FP and having a very moderate faith requirement. Oh, also the new crossbows use a gross amount of bolts to deal a neglegible amount of damage whereas Ansbachs Bow uses the same amount of arrows to deal an absolutely gross amount of damage. Not that crossbows being bad is anything new, but still.
Ghostflame breath is honestly disappointing, for someone that likes dragon incantations, the fact that it costs 32 but still floats like the named dragon incantations doesn't do much for it, I'd rather use the ice version, i honestly don't know why they even bothered.
They nerfed it? That sucks. It was so broken when I was using it (beat the dlc day 3, was one of the only dlc only spells I had as I got super lost before 75% of it). I tried all 3 of the frost dc spells, didnt like the frost breath or borealis breath, as Ghostflame Breath did ssssoooo much more damage and procced frost ssssoooo much faster. Sucks that it cost so much though, with 99 mind I could only cast it twice.
So what did we learn? One of the highest requirement incantations in the dlc, achieving by defeating a notably difficult enemy can if lucky, one shot the tutorial boss of the main game.
I was messing around with the Feathers spell, and it does do physical damage which means it's kinda annoying to buff, *but*, if you can get all the darts to hit it can do some solid damage. Granted, it's nowhere near the damage of a spell like Pest Threads or Lightning Spears, so I think it does belong in D tier, but there are some use-cases for it. But the fact that it's found in the same area where you find Spears and Spears is just kinda a better version of it, there's no question that it's pretty bad. Also Distortion2 I think did a run where he played through the entire game using *only* the porcupine spell, and he was able to do it, and some bosses take a ton of damage from it but yeah it's *very* situational.

@@jaredcrabb new lighting spear has antistagger tech inbuilt, if you get staggered it doesnt matter because subspears will fire regardless.

Knights lightning spear is so crazy, and even more insane in area/arenas with water in them. Easily my favorite incantation from the DLC.

Just thought of this but was Ghostflame Breathe nerfed in the patch? It seemed soooo broken when I used it against Radahn.

That’s my favorite part. I wish it was longer. I don’t play the game a lot so I normally follow other builds and gino went from followable to I need to look up everything and mark it on the map.
The Bayle incantations are pretty cracked for everything EXCEPT Bosses.
Endure + Bayles Tyranny oneshots easily in PvP with a pretty regular build without applying buffs and clears every Elite to Easy enemy for free because of the Hyperarmor and knockback. 26 Mind to cast it 3 Times. Probably an S Tier incantation for a regular playthrough
Flame Lightning is a worse Dragonclaw, but its just fun to use and it does Physical, Flame and Lightning damage.

Props for using all the base game incantations that the DLC incantations are just straight upgrades to during the setup.
To be fair, the enemy you used rain of fire and the lightning incantation on was in water, so the fire was debuffed, and the lightning damage was buffed so the rain of fire would've probably dealt like 20 more damage

Also watched Distortion do a porcupine only run, and it was surprisingly good damage, despite the spell being a bit silly to use.
I'm glad multilayered ring of light is getting some love. It is really overlooked next to pest and lightning spears.
1:52:20 I’ve looked at the game files and I think I can explain it, when it clones the lightning spell for water it uses the ID of the spell I think not the bullet/projectile so it seems to be cloning the high damage center projectile for all of them instead of 1 high damage and the rest lower damage. That’s my best guess without access to the actual game code.

Miquella's orbital strike is so fun to use although the Multilayered Ring of Light is probably my favorite as in most useful
I prefer the orbital strike honestly, because its a fucking magic orbital strike. I wish it was available earlier, but it makes sense its so late, its quite strong. It just took too damned many slots for me to use it much. So many cool spells.

21:18 You’re using it in all of the wrong situations. It’s clearly intended for 1) very large enemies with a big top-down surface area (like Founding Rain of Stars), or 2) groups of fire weak enemies like the finger creepers in the Metyr quest areas of the dlc. Using it on a small knight, who is standing in water, in the rain, is not where you’re intended to use it. On the other hand, that is the PERFECT situation for knights lightning spear.

I wonder if the Knight's Lightning Spear effect in water is based on the fact it's a multi-hit.
Using arbitrary numbers, if the original spear does 2000 damage, and the 6 extra spears do 300 each, they're getting a bonus 10(?)% in water. So instead of doing 2200 in water with the extra spears and bonus at 1980, it's instead using the original damage value an extra six times. 2000+200, 6*300(spear damage)+6*200(water damage)
So rather than 2000+1800=3800 dry
2200+1980=4180 wet
it's 2200+1800+1200=6200 wet

I figured out the Midra tracking bug. The light of Miquella autoaims to the nearest enemy in your LoS even if its behind 4 dimensions and 50 walls. Wich means fromsoft stores the body of the big Midra behind the wall.
In Enir Illim if you spawn at the pre final boss grace and free aim it down the stairs, the light goes down in the building trying to hit the closest enemy, the lion masked guy.
I didnt actually notice that, but since it costs so many memory slots I didnt use it much. Was that fixed in the recent patch?
The funniest thing? You used Rock Heart for most of the run, and if you used Priestess Heart, then KLS would've done 20% more damage. Edit: And you swap to it at 1:56:04, heh.
As someone who played strictly dragon incants on a character, it made me feel better watching you use them.
To be honest, except fhe legendary and physical version I hated them, but Ghostflame Breath is so broken (unless the patch nerfed it), and it looks so cool. I might try a Dragon Communion run. Almost said legendary versions then remembered Placidusaaxs Rain isnt actually Dragon Communion. Probably still use it though.

So here's my theory of what happened to Rain of fire. Miyazaki played Gothic and for some reason decided to make its power literally opposite to what it was.

The use case for light of miquella imo is the fact that even if you're hit out of it, the second you press the button it will come out no matter what.
So if you use it point blank then get smacked, it still hits them, and if they're in an animation, they just eat it

I’ve seen many people complain about miquellas light but in invasions it’s INSANELY good. It’s range is ridiculous and if you catch someone in like any animation it’s a guaranteed hit.
I think its the coolest looking spell in the game, but sucks it costs so many memory slots, since the Circlet of Light is the coolest headgear in the game. Theres just too many cool spells.

Watchful spirit only locks on to the thing you're currently locked on to when you cast, so if you switch targets or cast it locked off, it won't track your current target
I think the suggestion to use it on invisible enemies is interesting, like if you cast it while you see them, yeah it works and each projectilec will still track after losing lock on.
But literally any other spell that just tracks the nearest enemy would work better, like glintblades.

I think it's dumb that some of the NPC quests require you to summon them INSIDE a boss fight now, when all the bosses are so aggressive the second you walk through the fog wall. The amount of summons in general that are placed inside the boss' arena is dumb.
Maybe its so you dont give the boss more health? Probably wouldnt be that bad if it just defaulted to yes instead of no
You literally do not have to summon any NPCs to complete their quest. The only one that is affected by not summoning is Hornsent, but it’s just a different ending to his quest. You still get all of his gear regardless.
I never had that issue honestly, and the first npc I was able to summon inside the fog was Igon (never got any others summon sign, Igons RIGHT on the path).

the reason why bayles tyranny missed bosses a few times is because it's currently bugged and the initial explosion can only hit one target. So in the renalla fight one of the sweetings took the blast and that's why the first cast didn't hit her

In case anyone sees this, and you want to use one of the dragon hearts, be sure you fundamentally learn the major difference between Dragon Cult Incantations and Dragon Communion Incantations ;) The Priestess one is for the CULT whereas the rock heart is for COMMUNION. They do not do both lol. Alternatively, learn the damage differences between a spell focus that has a 10 - 20% damage boost but low scaling vs no boost and high scaling. The Dryleaf and Spiral Seals are literally the worst focus items in the game due to having the worst scaling lol. Even if you dual wield them, the bonus to the specific incants they do still does less than just using a Golden Order Seal. Offhand it and stick with either Golden Order or Dragon Communion seals.
I actually did pay attention when I got the Priestess Heart, but I was stoned so still tried to buff Ghostflame Breath with it🤣 Then I remembered, but since I was stoned went back and checked anyway, and sure enough I was being an idiot cause I knew that anyway.
I also prefer the Golden Order Seal and I usually have equal intelligence and faith, and with an A scaling in both it has the highest incant scaling for me. It even outdamages things like the Gravel Stone Seal for Dragon Cult spells, the Communion Seal for Dragon Communion spells (stoned again, almost typed something else🤣), and the Godslayers Seal for Black Flame spells. I sold it cause I was gonna start a new game and just transfer the Godslayers Seal so I had 2, but decided to keep the character cause I ended up getting the money for the dlc day 1. With I knew I was gonna get that money from uber.
I get alot of damage out of rotten butter fly. Reason yoy get knocked out of it is because you have low poise so you cant absorb a hit

It's kinda crazy how between all the incants shown in the trailer, the only one that's good is aspect: wing, and it's not even an incant.
The Knights Lightning Spear is better actually. So is Pest Thread Spears.
Light of Miquella having insane range is nice. It's not winning any awards for DPS or efficiency given how slow and expensive it is, but the fact that it has insane range makes it have at least a use case in clearing areas, which is nice, because there's enough boss killers.
I feel like Watchful Spirit would be fine at its current damage if it lasted like 30-60 seconds like a buff instead of for like 3 shots. Then it would provide some extra DPS and harry NPCs and occasionally stagger things without being broken and, tbh, it'd be neat to have proper auxiliary spells that aren't just the phalanax-type spells which fire for one shot.
I'm convinced that Rain of Fire is meant to do 10x more damage. Like, if it did 10x more damage, it'd be right about what you'd expect from a midrange-to-decent incantation which is too slow and inconsistent to really use effectively but at least is, y'know, something. And it'd be so easy to just forget a 0. Surely that's it? Because like. It was doing 600 damage per cast to the avatar fully buffed when Catch Flame did 3500. So if it did 6000, that'd still be
Thankfully Rain of Fire was buffed, though as Ive beaten the dlc, have Hundred Heroes, and my Dragon's Dogma data seems to have disappeared, I havent gotten to play with it since the buff. I so wanted it to be good. Light of Miquella is the coolest looking spell in the game, but yeah, costs too much (for me in memory slots, and theres too many cool spells) for me to use too much. Especially since the Circlet of Light is the coolest headgear in the game.

I hope Fromsoft get around to patching the game again some time this quarter.
Half the spells that should be getting boosted by certain pieces of equipment aren't, Furious Blade of Ansbach still doesn't have its bleed buildup, making it effectively just a very sub-par fire spell with awkward stat requirements and the balancing is still all over the place. Rain of Fire deals almost no damage in spite of having a high faith requirement, Divine Bird Feathers is three times less FP efficient as it is probably supposed to be (in case you're wondering: If you channel it, it tics for damage every .3 seconds but uses FP every .1 seconds) and Impenetrable Thorns deals an absurd amount of damage and bleed buildup in spite of only costing 15 FP and having a very moderate faith requirement.
Oh, also the new crossbows use a gross amount of bolts to deal a neglegible amount of damage whereas Ansbachs Bow uses the same amount of arrows to deal an absolutely gross amount of damage. Not that crossbows being bad is anything new, but still.
New challenge idea: Elden Ring but you can only use Electrocharge

Ghostflame breath is honestly disappointing, for someone that likes dragon incantations, the fact that it costs 32 but still floats like the named dragon incantations doesn't do much for it, I'd rather use the ice version, i honestly don't know why they even bothered.
They nerfed it? That sucks. It was so broken when I was using it (beat the dlc day 3, was one of the only dlc only spells I had as I got super lost before 75% of it). I tried all 3 of the frost dc spells, didnt like the frost breath or borealis breath, as Ghostflame Breath did ssssoooo much more damage and procced frost ssssoooo much faster. Sucks that it cost so much though, with 99 mind I could only cast it twice.

So what did we learn?
One of the highest requirement incantations in the dlc, achieving by defeating a notably difficult enemy can if lucky, one shot the tutorial boss of the main game.
I was messing around with the Feathers spell, and it does do physical damage which means it's kinda annoying to buff, *but*, if you can get all the darts to hit it can do some solid damage. Granted, it's nowhere near the damage of a spell like Pest Threads or Lightning Spears, so I think it does belong in D tier, but there are some use-cases for it. But the fact that it's found in the same area where you find Spears and Spears is just kinda a better version of it, there's no question that it's pretty bad.
Also Distortion2 I think did a run where he played through the entire game using *only* the porcupine spell, and he was able to do it, and some bosses take a ton of damage from it but yeah it's *very* situational.

i genuinely think a magma rain only challenge run would be the 2nd hardest weapon hinderance challenge, 1st being no weapon at all, bare fists
The damage would be weaker, but hey, actually, being able to hit an enemy is better than dying while trying to cast it.
