Love when you chat gives me a chance to hear I am not alone. I am not doing Christmas this year, it's just my daughter her boyfriend and I. Losing my Mum 2yrs ago has been the worst for me, I tried to "do" Christmas last year but it's just tooo painful my crps is in my rt hand. My daughter came for a day she lives 2hrs away, and I was in bed for 2wks recovering after. This year my crps has spread to my rt leg. My daughter still doesn't get it really , but I'm sticking to my decision , Christmas is not the same without my Mum and even though I'd like to see my daughter she only gets 2days off work. She has her boyfriend and his family to enjoy the day with, and frankly I am so glad I don't have to do anything. Like you Christine the snow, damp and cold is really causing so much extra pain. Merry Christmas to you both and I hope you can recover well and quickly from all the "extra" the season brings .
Oh Julie, I am so sorry for your loss :( Mum is a powerful person to lose and I could not imagine how overwhelmed & honestly icky that must feel this time of year. *Gentle but giant hug* I am unfortunately watching my parent slip away & words cannot express how difficult each moment of every day has been this Christmas season. I feel you
