Originally a hit for Brook Benton over 60yrs ago. Brook was a very popular singer back then. His duo album with the wonderful Dinah Washington is definitely worth a listen,
When you mentioned Christmas it reminded me that my very favorite version of "Jingle Bell Rock" is Randy's. Play it over and over again every holiday season.
Britt ,your reactions and emotions show how music can spread love. I thinks your comments are hilarious,he laughed and called her a what? It was a clown! You are genuinely gorgeous and funny! Keep them coming please! Much love to you and yours !Merry Christmas!
My first girlfriend in 1986 turned me on to country music, especially Randy Travis and Dwight Yoakam. My mom, whose favorite singer was John “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” Denver, said she couldn’t believe she’d raised a cowboy. I probably haven’t heard everything Randy has done, but I can honestly say I’ve never heard a song from him I didn’t like. Seeing you react to him was a nice birthday present.
Deeper Than the Holler, 1982, Forever and Ever Amen, Digging Up Bones, On the Other Hand, 3 Wooden Crosses, Better Class of Losers... so many great songs from Randy!
I love Randy so much. He's so extremely talented. Growing up a child I never got into much country. I liked certain singers, but the "old school country, such as Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, I just never did and honestly I'm ashamed now, because I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE listening to country, and I hardly ever listen to anything else. As far as women in country, Dolly is my top pick now, along with Loretta, Carrie Underwood, Patty Loveless, Shania Twain, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Teri Clark. Some of my favorite men country singers are Blake Shelton, Dylan Scott, Scotty McCreery, Randy Travis, Josh Turner, Luke Combs, Brett Young. Just to name a few.
I so love how Britt is into Country music, esp classic country. Which for me is when country music was REAL country music. Today's country is more like hip hop country, blah.
Such a great voice. And so country, even when he's doing 50's doo-wop music. Do-wop is basically a cousin or rockabilly, which is pretty close to the roots of country music.
Love Randy Travis.... But as soon as you said you want to reside in the mix of country and DO--Wap...... I immediately had the biggest desire to watch you react to Ronnie Milsap's song " Lost in the 50's".... Ok this old Grandpa is done being greedy now.. I love you and your reactions. You always make me smile. Thank you
I would love to see you drop some music, either some covers or originals. You have a beautiful singing voice. I know in this one, you were kind of messing around, but I’ve heard you actually sing a bit of some things in the past, and I’d love to hear you actually do a full song. I think it’d be great.
Merry Christmas Brie! Ya want another "Country Christmas" song may I suggest the Tractors "Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train" and their Christmas version. Both really good!😊
Wow, I didn’t know anybody else remembered that movie! My mom recorded it with the VCR the year it came out on TV, and watching that version with the 1996 commercials has been a Christmas tradition ever since.
@@rbonthego oh, no need to apologize. Many people have posted over the last few years that Randy died but when I Googled previously to verify that he had not, the first result was a Randy Travis that had died. Most people when they searched for it just saw that name without looking into it further. There is a Randy Travis that died but it is not the great Randy Travis, thankfully😌
Britt, i know you like Patsy Cline and the song "Leavin on Your Mind", try Jamie O'Neal "Leavin on Your Mind". It's like Patsy 2.0 with just a lttle bit soul, or r&b, or blues. Stumbled across it recently. Know your really going to like it.
Check out his new single. Yes you read that right he has a new single out called where’d that came from. lol. Also, Conway Twitty kind of did this country as well.
"Where That Came From" is a song written by Scotty Emerick and John Scott Sherrill and recorded by American country music singer Randy Travis. It was released on May 3, 2024, and served as Travis' first new recording of music in over a decade, developed through the use of artificial intelligence software to recreate his vocals following a series of strokes and health issues that left him unable to sing, overlaid over a vocal bed of an existing 2011 recording of the song from Travis's collaborator James Dupré. [1]
Britt, I know you like Elvis but you're not very familiar with his catalog. I'd like to suggest two from his movies, when he was in his physical prime: 1) The lady loves me (Elvis & Ann Margret), 2) Return to Sender.

George Strait and Alan Jackson sang the song "Murder On Music Row" about what happened to country music.
About laughed my a$$ off when you said “she laughed and called me a cow.” 🐄😂😂😂
I had a mad crush on Randy back in the day. 😊 love his velvet voice. 😊
I LOVE the way he sings "darlin'"
You should listen to " he walked on water" its so good!
Brook Benton takes some beating with his rendition of this song.
