I've been saying the same thing for like the last 3-4 years. A lot of folks don't remember that Steph started out as a 2 guard in college. I don't think he started playing point until his last year at Davidson. Then, at the beginning of his NBA career, he was playing the 2 spot with Monte Ellis @ PG. That's why I was hoping the Warriors could land a Marcus Smart or even Dru Holiday. With a defensive-minded, assist-generating PG, Steph could flourish in the shooting guard role.

I don't think you're taking one thing into account about Chris Paul on the Warriors. Yes, he tends to get injured by the time the playoffs roll around... but as everyone knows, he's NEVER come off the bench. His minutes have always been much greater than they are going to be this year. I think he might surprise everyone and be healthy and relatively rested for the postseason. And then, it's not just a regular-season thing. They'll be poised for a run.
