    I have just about seen every review on the ie 200 that is out there and there is a lot of mixed reviews i just went ahead and purchased them and tried several after market ear tips on them and ended up using comply t -400 tips and they sounded great to me ,don’t let nobody decide for you on how an iem should sound let your ears decide for you and i will admit they feel very cheep compared to the chifi iems that i own but the ie 200 sound better to me this just my preference and opinion i dont expect everybody or anybody to agree with me ,you decide for your self !!!!!!

    My IE600 also came with a loose connection for one side, but Sennheiser replaced my pair under warranty. It's a shame they didn't fix this tolerance issue with the IE200 either, let alone the rest of the family. The cables from the rest of the family are already microphonic (but usable), so it's appalling that they cheaped out even further on the cable for the IE200.
    Perhaps the IE300 is the lowest-priced IEM from Sennheiser I can recommend to regular people, for the proper stem-width, small shell size, and guaranteed warranty service (if bought new). The IE200 seems like too much of a mixed-bag to fill that spot. Otherwise, I'd have to recommend a chifi IEM that doesn't mess up those aspects of comfort that are absolutely crucial.

    • @DavidHorth
      @DavidHorth Рік тому +2

      My IE300 came with the same loose connection issue. I have 3rd party cable that fixes it and now that I have some better IEMs, its going back for a warranty repair.

      @@RN-jo8zt You can look at the frequency response graphs for those three earphones and see if they gave good bass. Regardless of whether they have good bass, it might be better to look at other earphones at this price range because Sennheiser isn't very competitive at the low-end of the market.

    You should do a review about volumes. For higher volumes we required a low upper mids and treble iem. For medium volume we require a more boosted upper mids and treble. And low volumes we require something that is famous from kz. Upper mids and treble boosted. I have 75 iem from 15 bucks to 1000 dollars. And its hard to find my tuning in an iem. Funny that I found for higher volumes the shozy form 1.1 and hola and 7hz sero a good tuning for loud volumes. Funny that reviewers give reviews and all chifi is building iem with that tuning,and they forgot that metal and rock guys always listen to blasting volumes, and we require something more warm with fewer treble picks. The reviewers should review iem and say. This is great for this volumes . And not great for these volumes of dB example . So people will know what volumes they listen. But nobody does. Super audio reviews , he listen to music at low volumes . Then people like myself buy. Blast the volume and its crap. Why they don't say and why iem brands don't do switches on iem foe volume tuning , instead of bass.balance etc. My opinion

    I bought this knowing I can return it if I don't like it. I can say that regarding cable microphonics I didn't find any noise ore interference while walking or moving about listening to music. Also I didn't experience the cable detaching or loose. I compared it to my other iems and that thin cheap cable was not an issue. It's true about that first nudge. The tips can be better, so I also ordered the DUNU S and S tips and the base now sounds incredible. The IE200 are small and very confortable for extended use and the sound is very godd as far as I''m concerned. So I'm keeping them. I'm also betting a better quality balanded cable and use a DAC dongle for my iPhone for even better more powerful sound. I do have a bluetooth DAC that I use with my other iems and quality is amazing. I think you may have a bad one, but it's hard to believe coming from Sennheiser German quality.

    It's been 3 months since I bought them I don't know why but they sound magical for my ears. I don't like the eargain in the 2khz - 6khz region as that make the iem's shouty for me and these sound perfectly for me as that region is toned down a bit. I have used the truthear hexa as well and i feel that the ie200 are league's ahead of the hexa and I feel like they are the prefect iem's for my ears. Another reason for that is my ears are small so they really maxinize the comfort for me and the overall sound signature is outstanding for me. Btw i am 17yrs old and the upper treble is perfectly fine for me. Also I am using it with shanling ua4 and an aftermarket 4.4mm balanced cable but even with the stock cable and a cheap dongle dac its really good. Also in India truthear hexa is for 7500rs and ie200 for 10000rs and I will anyday recommend the ie200 over hexa.

    Bro, valid points.. I just committed the crime and ordered these. I have a KZ zx10 Pro (ChiFi - marvel), Sennheiser HD599se [They say it's borderline audiophile; I say plug it into a decent dac capable of driving 150 ohm cans and let it hit you]; Sony XM4s, usual suspects with a emphasis on value. [my XM4s are a premium set and with LDAC I love it]
    For iem I prefer running them on my Fiio Q1 Mark II or surprise Sony Walkman NW-55 (yes for iems these are a hidden gem; wired or wireless is all possible)...
    I did a lot of reading here on these; my current requirement is thin, light sleeper pair.. The KZs are not bad (got custom tips) but kinda too involving for a sleepy session.
    From what appears to be a shock is the 7 mm driver is the same as IE 600s (maybe even IE 900s).. the difference is housing material. I was not even considering these a few weeks back; c'mon 1 driver seriously.. and then my perspective changed.. courtesy Fosi Audio K5 Pro..
    Basically this pair can be driven by anything new.. or old. Like my Nokia 5233 drives the HD599 better than that stupid iPhone dongle... try it; it shocked me and my brother.
    If you have a quality audio source and you will get something like IE 600 or IE 900 [ or like me the Shure 846 is target ] later..... these are probably the best you can get with 9k INR until you buy that. And that's it. My expectation is it won't be worse than the HD599 or the KZs.. else I am returning it.

    Like the talk. I guess I'm on the other side of the fence. I didn't find any problem with the connection. I didn't hear people like DMS complain of failure either but I'm sure there are units that fail. And as far as the position option for ear tips and it's sound change, I actually like this. It works exactly like Sennheiser said it would. And mine stays when I change position. So I can see how this could be useful for people that want less bass. I also don't think this is the worst cable for earphones I've seen and I actually love the form fit of the ear hook over the ones that don't. Now the Microphonics of the cable I completely agree with. It is very loud and sensitive at times especially if the earhooks are used right. Other than that I am very impressed with the clarity of words in this IEM. Every word and Syllable in songs are so much cleaner and clearer over other IEM I"ve experienced. The tonailty and timbre is also on point with these earphones along with bass and separation.

    hey friend, the IE200 and moondrop kato, which sounds better?

    • @imwhatsnew
      @imwhatsnew  Рік тому +3

      Hi, the Kato is a bit warmer sounding but also has more lively upper mids which is nice...treble is smooth too and doesn't have any major peaks. I think the Kato would suit many people's tastes over the ie200

      @@imwhatsnew Thank you first for replying me🙏🏻! Which do you think has better technicality, and also the bass? I am now considering to buy a wired iem, and one of these two might be my first option😄.

    The ie200 and ie600 have terrible cable's which are too rigid and actually "spring open" and pull the eartip out of your ear. I have owned both and I had to use different cable's to make the eartip stay in my ear. As for the ie600 is has the "most detail" I have ever heard from an IEM.

    The wires designed for musicians, not to be looked at. I notice this wire far less then any on my more expensive iems.

    the fact that you need either a specific after market cable OR need to physically alter the IEM to use a better MMCX cable on all of the IE family is a friggin crime.

    Sennheiser made great mics pre 2018 sale to Samsung. Their iems were Always priced much too high. It’s crazy when you can get an Iem for $50 from Chi-Fi that crushes these. This is a statement coming from someone who has used iems onstage since their inception. Actually using these onstage, I can suggest at least 20 iems that cost from $20-$50 a pair that are much better than these.

    • @fazzxides8429

      Seems even the $700 IE 600 is plagued with this problem of intermittent cutting of sound in one channel. I was very keen on getting a pair but the disturbingly high ratio of one star reviews on Amazon (17%) all reporting this caused me to re-holster the credit card. The sad thing is everyone raved about the sound. Sennheiser service in attending to complaints also said to be underwhelming by many.
      Pity really, so much good work undone by poor QC.
