If they are using the same tips as the ie300, ie600 and ie900 then yes, people including myself had the same problems with their silicon tips. For my ie600 I used the final e tips, and Super reviews suggested the Softears UC tips
I auditioned ie200 briefly yesterday since I am visiting my home country now. Clarity, not to be confused with resolution, was on par with ie600. Thankfully, ie200 didn't have this annoyingly harsh peak in the treble like the ie600. But the overall transients felt less incisive and sharp. The IE600 however is a bass monster, impressively done without mudding the midrange and the treble sounds, especially drum cymbals sounds magnificent. The IE200 feels somewhat grainy compared to its big brother. Others will say Kato shit on the IE200 sound-wise, but all of that means nothing to me if I can't wear them for hours since they're not as comfortable to my ears as the IE lineup.
Does it makes noise when the wire touches and rubs?
Have you tryed the different "tuning" option? You can change it by haveing the eartips all the way in or longer out on the stem.
Your recommendations on the Variations was spot on & I love them. Would the IE600 be a step or just completely different signatures? I want something priced between $500-$1000 that’ll blow my mind over & above the Variations.
It would be a completely differnt signature. Variatiosn is more "correct" and neutral while the IE600 is very colored and fun.
@@Gizaudio Wow? I thought it would be the opposite being that Sennheissers tend to be more analytically tuned aren’t they? At least across the over ear headphones. I love the Variations but would love a funner set of IEM’s as well. Maybe I’ll check them out! Thanks for the fast reply!
@@1988remixx I am also a happy owner of variations♥. I tried ie600, and it's got the wow factor, with textured bass and detailed sound. But I couldn't bear it for more than 15 minutes bcz of the fatigue. The logical upgrade for us (the Harman target lovers) is nothing less than monarch mkii. I really loved it, as it makes you enjoy music without fearing about fatigue that ie600, z1r, and helios etc. are prone to.
@@shahkhan110 Very interesting reply I appreciate it! I purchased the ThieAudio Oracles & were HIGHLY disappointed in them so I’m a little hesitant on trying another ThieAudio product. Not that I don’t think they’re any good but I’m not one for the Harman Target. I listen for enjoyment not for the analytics HOWEVER that being said I do often find myself critiquing certain songs if I do here some harmonic differences from IEM to IEM but mostly I listen to just relax & have fun witht he music
Would love to see a review on the New Final Audio A5000 and the older brother the A8000
is it worth picking up the ie 200 when i own the ie 300?
Now we wait to see giz put the fat freq maestro se in s+ tier
The IE900 is the Holy Grail. It is unbelievable paired with a Neve RNHP Headphone Amplifier
I own IE 200s and they sound great! Tip-rolled them with Spinfit CP145s and they now sound even better with a slightly wider soundstage. The SPL value on these is deceptive, though. Need good amplification to perform well.
Any thoughts this vs the IE300?
How do you all feel about Sennheiser IE lineup for durability? Can these be used full time at the PC 12-14 hours per day for years on end?
Hopefully Sennheiser fixed their QC issues. My ie600 didnt even last 3 months without the right iem failing. Same problems seem to be happening with the ie300 too for some people. Which is a shame, I absolutely LOVED the ie600.
@@AeyGee Difference is Sennheiser will replace it for free everytime and you are not at the mercy of a chi fi seller in China. Most problems happen with people using aftermarket cables killing the connectors.
@@Sand_1995 I wouldn't really consider it "free" since they have you pay for the shipping. But yes, Sen seemed pretty easy to get a replacement from. As long as you do it right. Which took me some time to figure out. Their automated help response was God awful. Reddit was more useful than their own support. I still havent gotten an email response from them and it's been 2+ months now. I literally didn't remove the cable from my ie600 more than twice until after the driver failed though. The last time I removed the cable was close to a month before they failed. Literally all I did with them was use them as my daily driver for 2 months at my desk. I own plenty of Chifi iems for years and they are still good as new. Tbf they are all 2 pin though. MMCX just sucks. Unreliable af.
Just got my IE300 from Amazon today and the left side cuts out and crackles when moving the cable. Not cool…
@@TheExtremeElementz Thats usually how it starts. It will be a day or 2 until it fully cuts out. Time for a refund..
@@Kushby yeah I think I’m going to give up on the Sennhieser’s and look into something else entirely.
Interesting to see where IE200 falls in Senn’s lineup. Wondering how IE200 fares against the Kato. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Probably better. Since its uses a capable driver like the IE600
@@Sand_1995 Good driver doesn't mean much, IE300 supposedly has the same one and it isn't held to the same high regards.
@@n0xt IE300 has bad tuning but good technicalities. IE200 is tuned better than the Katos from the frequency graph.

How would you say the ie600 compares against the Xenns Top? I've been wanting to replace my Variations as they feel a bit too... Tame for some of the music I listen to. Great bass, but I would like a touch more fun and engaging. Or the Maestro Minis the better choice?
IE600 is magic. Warm mids, sparkly extended treble and sounds extremely clean. HD650 level timbre. Variations feels shouty and thin on comparison.
@@Sand_1995 Very much appreciate the comparison! Thin is definitely the word for the Variations, although I love the details and separation it produces. I expect the ie600 is no slouch in that regard as well
I did try the ie200 since it was better for my pocket because of the hype... But I felt it was missing weight to it's sound, so I tried the ie600 and the tuning has more weight and has better sound stage and imaging/separation, they sound more real then my xenns up
why are people not comparing this to ie300 wtf lets compare this to multiple times more expensive iems...
@@HOTSPEEDMike headfonia as usual have no idea what they are talking about.
@@patrickdanneker5480 they're right, but you can keep believing 200 is a almost as good as 600 lol, while in fact it's worse than 300
@@wojtekr8081 maybe you'll see one day that headfonia is one of the worst sources for trustworthy review. And you'll maybe realize one day that pricing in this hobby isn't always a good metric to measure the sound quality.
Love the ie600, been listening to the ie200 for a week, Crutchfield had them before everybody else? The ie200 does not have the detail of the ie600, and it's plastic not 3D laser printed amorphous zirconium alloy. Also, no real case, only one cheaper cable, and less bass. Not bad for the price.
Did anyone else have a problem getting a seal with the IE200? None of the silicon tips provided worked for me, had to use the foam tips but they made everything sound kind of muffled, at least at the "default" tuning position (the forward position was better). Now I'm using the Salnotes Zero tips on them (the orange ones, fyi) and they seem to work just fine. Is it just me?
If they are using the same tips as the ie300, ie600 and ie900 then yes, people including myself had the same problems with their silicon tips.
For my ie600 I used the final e tips, and Super reviews suggested the Softears UC tips

i was looking at the ie 400 are they any good
I auditioned ie200 briefly yesterday since I am visiting my home country now. Clarity, not to be confused with resolution, was on par with ie600. Thankfully, ie200 didn't have this annoyingly harsh peak in the treble like the ie600. But the overall transients felt less incisive and sharp. Macro-details and layering capability felt also inferior to ie600 but had similar dynamics. Great IEM for the given price.
Pretty spot on. I agree
hi 5inh33, do you think IE 200 is good for gaming? How about imaging effects?
how do the IE 200 compare to the S12 Pro?
How does it compare to sennheiser ie 100 pro since they are in same price bracket?
Great vid!! Looking forward to the ie200 launch. Very curious about how it will line up with its competition at the price
Imho it tops the AFUL and the Wu Zetian, wich i prefer over the timeless, it will be on every Top List in 2023
That FR seems so balanced and neutral that seems to be a great choice for mixing, gaming and such.
do you think that difference between both could be adjusted by EQ?

a little bit offtopic, but I am considering upgrading to Gaea from Variations, is it worth it? Specfically bass-wise, midbass is better on Gaea as I got it, but what about rumble?
Would you say IE600 is good for both EDM and Classical music?
For edm its deep sub bass definitely makes it fun to listen to, but the treble can come off as a bit sharp (but tolerable) for some tracks. I wouldn't consider myself treble sensitive either, I recommend trying them out beforehand.

How do they compare in the detail they provide? By detail I mean all that little sounds the with some headphones you can listen and with other not
The ie600 sounds better all round than the ie200. More detail, depth, emotional engagement. And beats every other IEM I have (and is built to last).

Hi, I have DUNU Titan 5 and really like them, really love the bass they produce. But I wonder if I decide to upgrade them what should I choose? Thanks
At MSRP, IE600 is extremely overpriced, IE900 even more so. I bought the IE600 for $350 brand new directly from Sennheiser and thought that was a bit overpriced too. If it wasn't for the fit/comfort, big bass, and good resolution, I would sell the IE600. It's a good IEM, but not close to $600/$700 good.
Why no Fir Audio VXV review?
It's just ok

I tested both side by side in a store for 30 minutes.. the differences were almost obvious to me.. IE600 was sounding way better.. by the way, the IE600 was the only IEM I felt I could listen to without the need of applying an EQ.. while in case of IE200, and also IE 100 pro (which I own for a while now), I feel the need for EQ..

@@paulosilva8200 Not a smart thing to do. You will get more distortion and possibly ear damage in the long run. Don't use volume to compensate the lack of a specific frequency range. Go for your preferred tonality, not volume.

Same. My ie600 failed in less than 3 months.
If you are in the US, I went to Sennheiser-hearing website. Went to their support page, went to repairs, headphones and soundbars, found the ie300, then created a service request. They emailed me a shipping location in about a day or 2.
As long as you bought them in the past 2 years, and give them the right info, it shouldnt of been a problem..?

Man. I did. The sennheiser use a double dumping system for the nozzle that reduces vibration and distortions .problem with brands from Europe is price and most of them is a single dd and you pay for casing and 20% the nozzle and chamber . Chifi good price, but all.the same build. Driver. Pipe if there is multiple drivers or a strange driver facing the nozzle with a dumber behing the driver for the tuning. So. Yep. What's better
I’m pretty sure the ie200 will have better timbre than the s12
It's merely a personal choice.
S12 might detailwise be better but from timbre characteristics perspective a dynamic driver iem has an advantage.
My favorit was the Wu Zetian, until the IE200 came
Waay ago, 14 years, I had Sennheiser ie8, paid 350 bucks 4 them. Top today IEM in price range of 20 bucks probably obliterates that ie8 comfortably.
I am really astonished by the sound of s12, first time so satisfied with pure realism and naturality of the sound.
I Am from EU, And I Think that top chi fi IEMs in price bracket of 200 Euros ultimately obliterates anything up to 1000 Euros and maybe more from any EU brand, especially with this new generation of planar IEMs.
Maybe I am wrong, so I would like to hear what GIZ audio says about that.
One suggestion for anybody that has s12 - try quality memory foam tips instead of silicone - they go from superb to spectacular.
Anyway GIZ audio, I like your work very much, very cohesive and natural presentation, right on the point every time.
