I’m confused about the difference between what the artifact champion mod says about the modifier and what the event says about the modifier.
The mod reads like “you are always overcharged when the modifier (a hand cannon is what Bungie selected for the modifier) is active”.
This week it’s machine guns and sniper rifles. So how does that champion mod make it work for the hand cannon? I mean it says “the modifier” not “a modifier”.
I feel like I am missing something here. Please explain, thanks!
In that case, they're both overcharged.
But only the hand cannon can stun versus Unstoppables.
You seem to forget that people don't trust randoms with champions. So im not taking off apex when no one else can or will run overload rounds. Many would love to play around overcharged but it implies theres not blueberries in matchmaking that are out to sabotoge.
The "weapon overcharge" modifier has to be active in the activity for the artifact mods to overcharge weapons. This isn't the case in onslaught. This video is inaccurate.

The amount of people bringing their PvP loadouts into legendary onslaught is crazy to me.
Also, why are people keeping the same loadout for standard waves and boss room? There’s a rally flag right there! Use it! I play stasis for the waves, and switch to wellock for the boss, it’s not that complicated!
@@laurentleplat333 Some builds can carry over pretty well. For example, Orpheus Rigs. Most teams want Tether, and if you're generating infinite orbs then you might as well keep the build throughout the run. Tether is slowing enemies down, Suppressing and Weakening them for easy cleanup. Maybe a more AoE build would do better in ADU defense waves, like a Caliban Ignite build, but if stuff gets out of hand, a Tether to slow things down is better overall.
@@SealFormulaMaster Debatable for 1 instance. The amount of Rig hunters means there's often double stacking of tether. At that point it's better for 1 to hotswap to like Nighthawk for example. But other than that absolutely.

Yeah, I gave up using heavy grenade launchers, even though it was the weekly surge. Too many times there were teammates jumping in front of me and making me die. Especially when we get past wave 30.
Same thing was happening to me 😢 which is shitty cause it was wrecking the rest of the time

Dimensional Hypertrochoid, envious assassin and one for all. Amazing ammo economy, mops the floor, opens your exotic for something like buried bloodline. On stasis especially this is wild.

This video is wrong. In onslaught the only weapons that are overcharged are the 2 listed. There isn't the blanket "overcharged weapons" modifier active so the artifact overcharged weapons dont do extra damage. This is confusing and not straight forward at all since most other activities have this modifier turned on but onslaught does not. It is just the 2 listed so this week its grenade launchers and Shotguns.
The activities that don't have the overcharged weapons modifier are: Coil, Whisper, and onslaught. There might be more but these 3 for sure.
Activities that do have it active are: Weekly/seasonal raid, Nightfalls, weekly dungeon on master, weekly exotic mission (pressage this week), legend and master lost sectors. Again there might be more but these for sure are this way.

Aren't the champion mod weapons only overcharged if the "Overcharged Weapons" modifier is active? And I'm not referring to the specific overcharged modifiers like Overcharged Machine Guns etc.

They should add indomitability origin trait to one of those Season artifact perks so all of the Brave arsenal is overcharged. I’m surprised it’s not.

I cant use xeno because i dont have a good solar weapon so i used sun shot with the bait n switch/reconstruct solar rocket launcher. If i had that energy wep i would love to use xeno

Have you tested or know if someone has tested if the overcharge actually works for the leviathans breath? Since it's got intrinsic unstoppable from what I understand it shouldn't have any effect. But I haven't tested or looked for any tests done with it.
I also thought having an intrinsic unstoppable, barrier, overload made them become overcharged anyway.

One sword I wish they would bring back from destiny 1 is The Young Wolfs Howl cause that was honestly the best sword in the game
I am ONLY using WRONG weapons because I'm trying to do the Brave Bounties for the weapons and Onslaught is the fastest way to complete them. SO right now I am working on Breach loading Grenade Launchers and Machine guns. My last 2 bounties. The Scout Rifle and Sub machine gun took FOREVER.
I recommend Shuro Chi for weapon kill farming in general, or the opening of Grasp of Avarice/Garden of Salvation if you need precision kills with a special or heavy weapon (because taken thrall teleport too much)
@@MinaSteph The Vex Lost Sector in Artifact's Edge is also a good spot imo. Easy to get to and there's almost always a rally flag somewhere on Nessus.

I understand what you mean by choosing weapons that are overcharged. But if you suck using those types of weapons, being overcharged won't help

Yup. But only to those elements and or weapons. "Overcharged weapons" is a separate modifier that applies to seasonal artifact champ mods. It's not active in onslaught.
It's present in NFs and a few other things.

Kinetic weapons do increased damage when your subclass element matches an active surge."

I have the pulse rifle seasonal artifact perk.. Using void titan, volatile, devour on every orb pickup, graviton Lance, hammerhead & an auto rifle. Did pretty darn good. Then on the big boss battles, I switched to leviathans breath to do huge dps to the boss.

Okay so what about those of us who decided to unlock everything in the first column so that all those weapons are constantly empowered?
Yes we have surges but boots give surges...and foetracer...and anything with damage perks proc from silly little damage perks like bait and switch but utility too like chain reaction and hatchling etc there's no end to the combinations of damage buffs goin right now, you just gotta play around with whats most fun to you personally. Nobody is talking about how this is a game with power fantasies and I don't always care about the damn meta and efficacy when I'm tryna have fun
Yes build crafting goes deep. But so does my soul. And plowing everything in front of me with sweet business will never not be an option to me..have fun people, and make sure your friends are, too

exotics with any champion stun intrinsic are already overcharged permanently...no artifact mods necessary

correct, surges dont stack. elemental & weapon type are independent of each other, a solar rocket on solar surge & rocket surge does the same damage as everything else

the specialization perks do stack....meaning, for example, epochal integration hc has the nanotech tracer rockets origin perk...so instead of using the unstoppable hc artifact mod (assuming you don't need to stun unstops with it), i would use origin spec I...giving you the overcharged 25% plus an extra 20% to your tracer rocket rounds...so if the origin trait involves any sort of damage boost, it does stack with the overcharged boost....also applies if you still use the unstoppable hc mod (if you need to stun unstops with it) plus op spec I....so if the origin perk is a useful one to you, use the corresponding origin perk artifact mod! def worth it in certain situations

some of us are just trying to complete bounties like "get kills with Pulse Rifles, Onslaught grants more progress" etc so ...
For all my titan mains out there. You want damage, add clear, and torment the tormentor heres a build. Eternal Warrior, put on arc weapon damage buff mods x2, pulse grenade with jolt, forbearance with demo and chain reaction, thunder lord, midnight coup with fire fly for multiple add clear and boom. Scored over a 1k kills and 18,000 points. My team literally just watch and cleaned up what adds that ran around me or did the submissions such as mines, pyrimids, and clearing the enemies that attack the hud or whatever. Eternal warrior plus x2 arc mods gives you x4 damage and very easy to proc this since youre gaining insane grenade. After casting your super thunderlord is x4 arc damage for 25 seconds and you can refresh the counter per kill....this build is stupid and makes hoard mode a joke.
i havent watch the video but the solar machine gun fixed odds with precious scars is literally your primary weapon in this gamemode, i hope its on the video

I use rockets for overload champs… so that right there makes a big difference. I ran a couple legend onslaughts wjere both teammates used machine guns and literally had no way to stun overloads so only I could stun. You should have a way to handle any type of chanp
Plus the fact that if you do objectives… run double Heavy Finder + Solar Scavenger you can literally use Gjallarhorn as your primary and big target killer and just trivialize Legend Onslaught.
One of the requirements for Guardian Rank 10 says "complete the current seasonal activity or exotic quest on the highest difficulty". How do I do this

This guy definitely said something stupid. A weapon that ALREADY does anti-champ damage CANNOT stack another one. Eriana’s Vow cannot use anti-unstop handcannon. This has been a thing since champion mod inception. I guarantee he’s doing this for views but idc. I’m callin him out. Also, i knew he was some what dyslexic but goddamn. When the weapon says it’s overcharged, it’s only on that week the modifier is active. I don’t think the overcharge works for the origin traits right of the bat. I think it only benefits the weapons that have it during the week the specific weapon overcharge is there.
I use whatever I feel like.
Is that simple.
If I'm forced to use what I don't like I just don't play the activity.
You're not forced to, it is a 25% boost, doesnt mean that other weapons will be bad
@@ninjamusic4k most people just set it and forget it when it comes to the artifact mods....then they wonder why they struggle to kill a red bar in harder content...it's extremely easy to use the weapon you want and find a way to get that 25% buff...you'd literally have to go out of your way to find weapons that can't take adv of being buffed this season lol

As a PvE Player that did do GM's, I am well aware of Overcharged Weapons so I try to use them as much as possible. No news.
