Just a tip, you can do the catalyst switches backwards which makes it much easier, you can flip the top switch first and then do the one at the bottom to get the catalyst

Yep this is how I did it.
To min max time try doing it going up since you start at the lower switch. But if you fail hit the upper switch and drop down for an easy run.

Catalyst Switch: You can do it backwards. Meaning start from the top switch and then get the other one. It is easier and you will have more time left.

The floor is lava changes daily. We went all the way before final row on the left, middle down two, all the way right, up.

Bungie already stated if you already had the catalyst before that you would be able to slap it on as soon as you get the craftable outbreak
it wouldn't matter all that much honestly you'll have to complete it on legend either way to get the enhanced perks

I’ve had cheeks luck with lfg on legend. People randomly leaving kills any chance of beating it.

Do the puzzle's first every week then wait for the last perk to release before doing Legend again. You'll knock out 3 perks in 1 run.
you only need rapid hit anyways tho so doesnt really matter that much

For people having trouble running out of time doing the switches. Activate the silo door switch, then go to the upper room next and activate that switch next, then back track to the remaining switch. It's much easier to do it this way. When doing the puzzle for the ship... you need to use Outbreak Perfected to shoot the targets. The catalyst was there when I went to craft my rifle the 1st time.
i got the schematics so where do i turn it in?
Found it's much easier to pull the switch above the silo door then the one on the ledge as it's faster to get down than up.

glad to see bungie finally bringing back the removed missions. Maybe one day we'll have all the destiny content in one game and we can play the whole timeline altogether.

Yeah and maybe one day I’ll get a refund for buying the deluxe destiny 2 base game for 100$ only to have them remove the dlc’s and make the game free. I did get a cool emote, however, so that was 100$ well spent imo.

If you already had the catalyst you don’t need to reacquire it. If you don’t have the catalyst you can get it from completing legendary zero hour.
Yes, but to craft it with new perks like rewind rounds u still need to do this.
I worried since I didn't already have the catalyst and didn't want to have to do Legend just to get it, so I loaded up Whisper and did the Thrall room for about 25 min and got it. Super easy.
Thanks for the guide. Did it solo up to that point just to get the catalyst and now gotta complete legend again. Using Stompees on hunter helps tremendously
I had a couple who were struggling with the jump at the silo for the switches, figured out you can start in the silo room and go backwards (which is essentially falling instead of jumping) and that way they didn't run out of time.
my boyfriend and i were struggling on the quest yesterday and our third guy figured it out, funny coincidence lol

You can do the switches in the silo room in reverse, I couldn’t get it, and noticed the top switch said activate. So I’m assuming as long as the switches are pulled, the two main switches may be pulled in any order

I got the catalyst on my first completion of legend like it dropped as if it was a normal catalyst drop and now I can craft it.
Well, I'm happy that I don't need legend for the intrinsic upgrades and the ship. Only for the traits. So I guess I'm doing normal with 2 others for the upgrade and ship.
I'm not sure u can on normal...he says that but I tried on my 1st initial run and it wouldn't let me do any of the switches. Maybe it was cuz it was my 1st run but I doubt it. I say ull have to on legend just like whisper
@@seanwilliams5826 Switches are the only ones that you have to do on legend. the rest is fine either way
For the catalyst switch, you can flip the switch in the upper storage room above silo 3, then jump back DOWN to the switch by the bridges. It’s much faster and it worked fine for me.
I just ran the two switches and you don’t need to go in a specific order so if you open the silo hit that switch up there, it’s a lot faster to drop down and go in the other room
Rick, have you issued or are you going to issue an update to this vid given the fire room floor puzzle appears to be changing daily for both normal and legend according to the burn of the day?
crazy, i spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to open the vent in the spaceship area only to realize it was glitched and now i gotta start over

So the only difference with the new Outbreak is that you can get Rapid hit or Rewind rounds? Seems like a lot of work for a very minor upgrade on the weapon.

Rewind and extended mag is gonna make it a absolute monster. That park is a major upgrade imo
those perks seem great def a good upgrade. Im not sure but im pretty certain you'll be able to unlock some more in week 2

Pro tip: you can open silo 3 then do the jumps and activate the top switch FIRST, then it’s easy to hop back down and action ate the bottom switch on the middle box.
Is the boss fight tougher because the enemies are harder or is it the time limit? I thought the two levels were the same ADD wise. Thanks! Great video!

Does the vault puzzle change every week? I missed lasts weeks which I’m trying to do but it’s blocked
if a teammate hits the secret switch in the silo area, does that count for the player? i.e. does the fireteam need to do the run 3x (one for each teammate)
lol I am really busy doing pantheon trying to get mine hands on adept weapons but soon I try this quest.
You can equip the catalyst immediately after first getting the weapon from Ada-1. None of the steps in this video trigger this perk activation. I did have the catalyst before the crafteable version, so there is a chance if you don’t there may be something else you have to do.
also to mention, if you manage to beat the mission on legend, (take this with a grain of salt as i am assuming kackis already had the catalyst), but if you dont have the catalyst, you get the catalyst from the chest for beating the mission.
(I just finished my legend run for the rapid hit intrisic perk and i got the catalyst.)

I figured out that for the quest to get the crafting trait you can do the switch in the silo first and then go to the one in the big room and that is much easier than having to climb the silo.
For the catalyst switch you can start above the sylo and go down to the switch room it's much quicker
With the catalyst switches start with the top one first. It's faster and less likely to panic on

For the switches, its alot easier to hit the upper switch to start the timer and just drop down... if u run out of time trying to make the climb just hit the switch up top and back track

It was already available when I reshaped it but what if the one you get from the updated mission is stronger
4:40 you can also activate them backwards it's a bit easier so your not haven to jump up

You’ll have to do the quest to be able to craft the other perks.

The squares change daily. I also recommend a hunter with lucky pants and malfeasence. Very effective

Thats what I am wonderng cuz I saw another YT er that unlocked the Intrinsic 3 at the schip puzzle. and he got Intrinsic 2 in this video so im confused if I miissed somethiing
btw, Yes if you had the catalyst before you don't need to do the steps to get the catalyst you can just put it on instantly after doing the normal run.
For the first part of the quest It’s actually easier to go to open the silo doors and go up to silo 3 switch. Activate it get the 30 second timer, and go back down to get that center switch. Done.
Is it supposed to not give us any upgrades except rapid hit? No barrel options for the intrinsic we get from the switches?
SHOUTOUT FOR LEGEND! If u have a hard time going up from one switch to the silo switch... u can switch the silo switch first and work down to the second switch. Essentially running between switches backward
also it was the same thing for whispers catalyst, if you had it...FINISHED i think was the requirement or maybe just obtained and had any progress on it, that you instantly have it available to put on the crafted version, i had whispered breathing completed on the crafted level one, as bungie said we would have

If you have the catalyst previously you can just apply it to your crafted outbreak and if you did not get it before then you just complete legend mode to get catalyst
Also, the path is different in the fire room today from what is shown there. I understand changing from week to week, but day to day?
Tried the mission again today and the path changed again. This mission is stupid for no reason.
For activating the switches for this week, you don't need to do the climb up, you can start at the top one and fall down and go to the one in the lower area and it works, atleast for now

yeah does the route for the platforms change everytime
The code at the end for the Insintric mod can be done in many ways.. I didn't not follow this guide. I activated different consoles in different orders and still got the completion. You can also trial and error, and it will still go through.
The Catalyst Switches can be done in reverse as well which was easier time wise.

After finishing the legend difficulty i got the catalist.
I found this out by accident. It’s much easier to jump to the top and activate the top button and then just jump down to hit the last switch. That 30 second timer is a pain in the cool-o. Doing it backwards is much easier.
So just like the catalyst for the whisper of the worm if you have the catalyst before this new mission came out you will already have access to it but otherwise you will get it from your first legend run guaranteed
I had the catalyst before, didn't do legend yet ad could put it in as well. So I guess you get the drop for it on legend and those who already had it can't put it on right away

Interesting so far for me on legend lava floor starting on the far left up 4 right 2 down 2 right 2 up all the way (something like that)
Fun tip: Dying with Lucky pants and Crimson makes you deal more damage since it reset every death, fully reload your Crimson
Looks like will need to run the legend version to get the other perks even if you got the catalyst already

Also,in the first puzzle where you shot the diamonds with the patterns - you can’t use just any weapon. It needs to be the outbreak pulse rifle.
You can shoot one dragon breath rocket to those fallen spiders and they will blow. For example the two at the end. And that allow you to have a bit more time.
U say u can do the ship and switches on normal but im not sure u can. I tried on my 1st run and the switches werent active. Maybe a bug or maybe cuz it was my very first run b4 i cleared it once. Im gonna try again now i cleared it but im almost betting u will have to do it on legend as well
Just a heads up that code was different when I ran legend
For anyone struggling to complete legend I was just in a team one person was a bubble Titan I was a celestial nighthawk golden gun the other person was a well warlock with Phoenix protocol maybe try getting that team together then I think it’s just a matter of speed and weapon load out I was using impulse recombination mountaintop Polaris Lance and crafted song if ir yut with enhanced reconstruction and enhanced sword logic I think the other guy has fixed odds on but I think avalanche wouldn’t be a bad choice if you don’t have fixed odds

The catalyst is obtained once you complete the switch section above silo 3. Once the quest updates you will see wording on bottom left.
ooh i figured out the cipher! super ez, it tells you which room layout of buttons for each code, so square bot left room, diamond top left room and trapezoid right room, then it quite litteraly tells you which button to hit, arrows pointing to the location and the red filled ones are out side, and dark center is in specific room,
square is kinda the easiest to see it on, where having both up and down inside arrows was confusing as to which room they would go too until i saw the button layout.
being in for corners it is easy to see, where the orange ones having a middle and low high postions on the left and right

For me, Dragon's Breath was the key to clearing the final boss section. 👍🏾

They announced if u have the original w/catalyst then it will already be unlocked in tha TWAB
The code for the floor is lava section changes daily depending on the threat
To get the vault puzzle you MUST get the first switch with the pads.
Also to note. After you hit the first switch, next to the farthest pad near the exit, there’s a hologram on the floor that gives the sequence so you don’t have to keep going back to the switch.
This is how we did it, not realising the answer was also on the switch.

I did learn this though in the whisper of the worm exotic quest is when you spawn in the major boss and your time runs out it doesn’t matter you can still kill him and not have to be sent back up to orbit

I tested this theory and you get about an extra 2-5 mins on zero hour when it says 0 for time left, any longer and it will just end
