- The first big snowstorm of the season finally arrives. Getting things ready. Plowing snow. Surgery recovery continues.
Had to laugh "I'm bored" My hubby said the same thing after his surgery. Thanks for the laugh, I miss him greatly.
Joe, good to see you haven't lost your appetite as a result of the operation!
Your weather reports definitely add something special to your videos. I love it!
Totally agree!
That Breakfast for lunch and the two sour dough loaves of bread had me drooling like a starving dog 🐕 Melissa is such a good cook 👍
I got 12" & lost power for 34 hours here in NH. Take it easy Joe, let it heal. God Bless!
I got 22" in Meredith NH and was staying in my trailer!
That's what she said!😂😅
Hey Joe remember, take it easy and please try to relax because once you’re healed it’s gonna be hard to keep up with you 😊! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
Joe ,you actually sound like one of my grandkids always saying their bored when we get a lot of snow in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Be careful plowing snow.
I'm so thankful for you that the surgery is behind you,and you're halfway through healing!!
Glad your doing better. That white truck is a beast. I have been watching your guesthouse build. You are very talented. Take care keep getting better.
Got to say your internal mended piping is working well with a daily workout of that delicious food.
Joe is a hard worker, but also hard headed ! Won't slow down at all.
We love how much you love a big storm!
Joe- by your standards, you have been "taking it easy". Please try to take it easy taking it easy!
Safe and strong recovery. 👍😎🇨🇦🌿
We love our Harvest rite freeze dryer. We have been diligently prepping for.4 years. We are set on food for 20 years. We.have 112 Sawyer filters and are.good for 10 Million. Gallons of potable water. Ammo is stocked up for hunting. Have in ground home that stays 60 degrees. Have enough lamp oil for 30 years. We.are set. :)
I feel for you being sidelined after surgery. Be careful, listen to your doctor, and heal well so you can to return to "full duty".🙏
Joe, just don't do too much. You could end up reinjuring yourself and that would definitely not be good. You have to give yourself time to heal. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery.
I always appreciate when other youtube channels would mention their weather, keep it coming.
Watching from West Central Wisconsin.
By the way, we only received about 3" of snow and a lot of needed rain!
Following surgery I had trouble with pants, especially with belt causing discomfort around incision spot. I began wearing suspenders. Hold pants up like a charm.
We have that same can opener, it sure is nice to have that outside heat source. That’s the way to go. Heal up joe
Hey Joe, glad to see your healing up very well. I can't even imagine how bored you are and not being able to do much. Hopefully you heal faster and can get busy building or doing normal Joe projects.
sourdough with blueberries sounds really good
Daughter just had gallbladder out...we are thru the healing process almost. She wants to do things, but nor there yet. She's a go getter like you, so hard to make her be still
joe! i know your bored, plz thake it easy,be kind to you
It's always a pleasure to watch your videos, very relaxing, you take care of yourself and I'll see you on the next video
We hope you heed your doctors after surgery instructions. Just an fyi. My sister had double hernia surgery. She is a very active individual. She behaved for several weeks after surgery. However, there came a point she believed she was healed enough to be more active and do more. Yep. She had to go in for the surgery again. Basically she has spent the last 18 months with 2 surgeries and recovery after each. She does admit she was too eager to get back to being her old self and really set back her recovery. The recovery from surgery number 2 was more sore and much longer. As difficult as it is to be patient through your recovery, don't make the mistake to do something to injure the healing process. You don't want to hear they have to go back in and do the surgery again.
I have not even watched the video as yet. And I am thinking that Joe better heed the doctors' instructions. We all know how he is and it will be very difficult for him to sit still and not want to be outside clearing snow. We watch his videos because he has more energy than most of us and he is always doing something that we want to and like to watch. Slow down Joe, get better and then you can be most active all summer long. Most men never call off work even when ill and they just go and go until they break down. Be patient and get better for a second surgery is brutal.
I'm happy you're doing better your videos are great don't worry you'll be back at it before you know it
Basketball tournament storms. Didn't think we were done yet. But who knows. Good to see you know your limitations. And go accordingly. Good job buddy
Well that was awesome. I can see that the surgery doesn't effect your appetite, that's a great thing!! I think it's so cute that Melissa, yourself and the dogs have Movie night in the fish house, like teen lovers sneaking away. Lol. Stay safe and have a great day.👍🤓👍🤓Randy.
I love the weather updates. keep them coming. glad to see you're getting around better. Going to keep getting harder to behave ;)
Glad our 2 ft of snow is almost gone although we've had a lot of rain.
Melissa the Chili, strawberry shortcake., breakfast and bread looked so delicious yum.
Surprised you weren't in more pain jousting from the plowing on the 4 wheeler.
Bored Joe, no say it isn't so 😂.
Blessings to you , Melissa and families. 😊🇺🇲
Get better fast buddy!
was watching the storm off n on -so glad it went north and missed indiana-take better care of yourself till your cleared dont over do it joe
We now know where winter went. Those spring snow storms can be really bad but they do melt pretty quick if the sun comes out and stays. I know you are really feeling the surgery after all that riding and bumping on the four wheeler. Better be careful, stay safe. Enjoyed the meals and the breads you all have been making. Catch you on the next one. Fred.
If you put that plow on your Honda, with all four tires chained up, because of how those older Hondas were geared so low - you could plow heavier and wetter snow with ease.
I would need to get smaller tires. There is not enough room between the back tires and the fenders to handle the chains.
Great video 👍👍 Really enjoyed watching 👍
Here in South Texas, my yard is full of bloom and green. Cannas, salvia, lantana, bird of paradise, blue mist, hibiscus, Esperanza, plumbago, geraniums and more. Hummingbirds are prolific. It is a beautiful Easter. Thinking of you all and wishing you quick recovery and warmer temps.
Thanks Joe! Glad you doing great!
A+ Entertaining for some onw who never sees it
always great videos, Joe... many thanks
273 MT on the freeze dryer is very good vacuum.
Great video Joe. I believe about 14-16 fell here in Central MN. Nothing we can't or couldn't handle for sure. Let's just have a slow thaw, we don't need flooded basements or fields. Still areas of frost in the ground.
Hey Joe good to see your back at it thank you for the upload
We hardly got any snow here ( near Niagara Falls, Canada ) this year. It would be nice to have 4 more inches of snow before the warm weather stays. Be safe. Good video ( they all are )
Oh Melissa, I was salivating over that bread! 🍞
all we have had where I live in Southern Lower Michigan is maybe 16 inches all winter. take care Joe and continue to heal.
Wow ! More snow to plow Joe you really didn't need that " I sure hope you don't suffer because of all that plowing !
Boy you never know living in the Upper Midwest. Nice and sunny one day and bam a nor’easter snowstorm. How would you like to be a robin or sandhill crane! Spring delayed again…
It's definitely been a bizarre year for winter
You are a none stop guy,But is good, keep you busy,Have fun with your lovely wife and I keep following all the way from Tampa Bay.Blessings guys
You better take it easy, I have heard of people that it has let go,not good. Good luck!!
Wow crazy you guys got snow… and by the way I love when you give the weather reports 😂
Wish we got that snow I would like a couple of snow days off from work 😮. I got so hungry seeing all that dilishes food Melissa's chili bowl put it over the top now I'm in the kitchen making some ❤
Happy Easter to you both and enjoy your day
We love a good storm!!!
Crazy weather. Got 6” Thursday then 26” through Saturday into Sunday am after just getting to bare ground. Luckily in the teens and fluffy snow with the ground setting up just enough to plow it. Now mud mud mud ! Glad you were able to get a little limited action doing something ! I’m sure it felt good but still feeling it. lol. Take care Joe
Unbelievable how quick it changes in your part of the world Joe …over here in outback Western Australia we’ve gone from a long hot summer in the high 40 s Celsius ! Down to calm mid 30s Celsius…we’re hanging out for cooler weather..to get veggies going ..take care mate
I love your snow storm videos. In Kansas we might get 1 good snow anymore. "Might"! Lol and summer is long, hot and dry.
Try a wind vents next year. It’s the orange fencing, like you see along the highway’s. It’s easy to put in relatively inexpensive, and it does cut down dramatically on the blowing of the snow..
82/57f here in sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. 💖😷
U can keep cooking while recovering... 👍🏾👍🏾
Hey Joe love the videos. I know the feeling you wanting to get back in to your jeans. You might try denim bib overalls.
I said to myself, to hell with it March 25th I'm not taking the John deere tractor out to blow this stuff it'll melt by next week. Then I had some beers and kicked back.
You are my hero
Take it easy mister. Do not over do it like I would.
I agree, New Hong Kong in ER is hard to beat!
I love that place. When I lived in Nowthen I would go there usually once a week.
I like the weather reports. You need to put a plow on one of your old trucks.
you take it easy Joe, I think you'd be a good weather man lol
i still say yhe taco hot dish needs cheesr!
jealous of the snow fall. we've only had rain all winter. we've not had 7 dry days in a row this entire winter. now we are being warned of an active hurricane season.
Always like watching your channel Joe. Whenever you have to plow snow I wonder why you don't use one of your pickups with a blade. Seems it would be faster and warmer. Take care and thanks for the vid.
For those who like/enjoy snow a forecast that you have is great. I don't dislike snow per se it is the aftermath that I get uncomfortable. Days after the snow has built up and you have the snow melt and snow freeze cycle. People around here have problems driving in wet weather anyway. Add Ice on the road and it spells disaster even though the Dept of Transportation salts the roads.
Make sure you keep all that over there in Minnesota! 😂
I was supposed to leave Alabama headed to the Starbuck area for work the next 6 months. I pushed it back a week and now I leave the 6th. I hope the snow is mostly gone when I arrive🤞🏻🤞🏻
2:27 New dent in the truck? I know you said your bored have you done anything inside the guest house? You mentioned taping and mudding.
Dent was there when I bought it. I can not lift the mud buckets and can not reach and stretch and do all the side to side motion yet. I am 3 weeks into my 6 week recovery.
Joe, my potatoes 🥔don't come out like yours, do; so I mash potatoes in the taste delicious 😋. 👋🐕🐕🐕, take care,oh blueberry bread 🍞 😋.
You need to use red potatoes, the white ones do not fry that well. I have videos on making them, they are easy to make once you get it right that first time. Maybe I will do another video on making them.
Hey Joe! When do you plan to start working on your house? Seems like you’re doing everything else first.
Don't have time to watch this right now but I'm excited already lol. Guuna watch it I a few hours
I planted my Yukon gold potatoes today LOL
Joe, do you ever consider putting freeze dried fruit and veggies in mylar bags? You'd save on jars and takes up less room.
We have stacks down in the basement of freeze dried stuff in Mylar bags. Everything from soups and stews to fruit and veggies. This was the first time we did it in jars.
@@NorthernSeclusion I knew you knew what was up. Lol. I am jealous brother. Some day I will get a freeze dryer.
Joe - Did I miss something, what is this courier business? How long have you been working that? What kind of items?
Wishing you a continued healthy recovery! Have you ever considered wearing overalls until the soreness completely goes away? We only got snow one day this season here in Jackson, MS.
Big👍🏻. It's good to see you doing better Joe. Hey what kind of 4 wheeler is that you put the snow plow on??. Good looking rig.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Grizzly 550.
Joe, I wondered if you missed the snow this year. Being such a creature of habit, it must have felt strange to not have to deal with it until now.
How do you not weigh 800 pounds . That bread looks amazing. Heal well .
Great video as always, you still running you construction crew or are you finally slowing down if that is even possible for you.
Woohoo!
To bad ya'll can't to ocala fl, they have frog legs, fried oysters, lots of shrimp.
Have you ever considered one of those orange snow fences set back along the driveway to stop snow blowing on the driveway? Or is it just a nuisance to put up and take down every winter?
We could but it is just something to ruin the winter view out the front door. I am not saying we might not someday do it but for now we have not.
I had triple bypass 3 yrs ago I was laid up for 6 weeks I understand
i wonder if you could sell that 14x70 or give it away on marketplace glad your doin good
We had 6 to 8 inches here in west central MN. You don't have much of a chance of winning the lottery but then if you don't buy any tickets you have absolutely no chance of winning.
2:54 soooo 🤔, after freeze drying the strawberries, does she can or vacuum seal the bottles? Or just put the tops on the jars then store? 💖🌞🌵😷
This guy is obsessed with the weather and temperature!
😂😂😂
And blocking people from the channel that bitch about it. LOL.
When medically someone isn't up to par, it's natural to obsess a little about things like snow. It has to get plowed and has to be attacked in a different way than he would normally do it. Joe is a, get things done guy, and will come up with a way to get it done. If this bothers you so much, why do you watch his video's? I would call that a little obsessive.
How often do you put down a layer of gravel/fine rubble on the driveway (if you actually need to at all)? It sounds like you move some of it around when you plow snow.
We only gravel from the main garage to the road. We did it the second year we were here and will probably have to do it next year again. I dislike doing it because then for half a season the lawn mower is throwing rocks when you mow next to it.
havent seen guest house or chicken coop in a while!!
Joe, did I see a flip on/off switch turned off on the snowblower?
The starter if I remember correctly does nothing. No clicks, no nothing. It was like no electricity was getting to it.
Joe - how did you find the delivery/courier gig?
When do you think the doctor will release you to drive the tractor again? 💖🌞🌵😷
Gotcha again! When will you learn?
Looks like the four wheeler is straining a little pushing that snow?
