That's a good point, actually. We never actively see the transformation process, so it's possible that the virus mutates consistently, never leaving an old strain behind but actually fully mutating on the large scale (Which has some rather terrifying implications). Even without that, though, anyone catching that new strain that supports SI mutations could potentially turn straight into an SI while still partially human. It would make sense for Death Toll especially, since Riverside seems to only have fallen when the Special Infected showed up, who likely spread that strain of the virus around the town. Not to mention; Just because that mutated strain supports SI mutations, doesn't mean it has to guarantee that people who catch it turn into an SI, it could still create commons for the most part.

Something to think about is the possibility that the green flu was getting faster to develop, with all the conflicting reports of how long it takes for people to turn into zombies.
from what i can tell from the lore, time to turn (TTT) is dependent on how long its been since the initial outbreak, where one was infected, how, when, and if the infected person is panicked or calm. the reason church guy turned so relatively fast was most likely because he was bitten somewhere close to his head, most likely the neck, and his panic quickened the transmission of the infection to his head faster due to his increased heart rate. meanwhile the helicopter pilot turned much later due to him being bit but remaining calm since he wanted to try and get whatever survivors out as he could before he turned. its probably safe to assume he was bit in the arm or leg, most likely the leg. much longer travel time for the infection to reach his head and staying calm probably bought him a extra hour or 2 before he inevitable turned. And mind you, both got infected around 2 weeks from initial outbreak, by the time L4D2 rolled around its been longer. hence why even more special infected started to pop up. Honestly if i wanted to turn fast as fuck id just start chugging Boomer Bile like its gamer girl bath water to a League of Legends player. another thing of note that i find interesting to point out is its not like being near a carrier can get you sick, provided they take proper measures. its most likely that its not proximity to a carrier that gets people infected, its all sorts of bodily fluids that does it. Coughing, breathing out, Urine, excrement, sweat, even touch can transmit the bacteria. honestly, they could have just taken the carriers and put them all in a single camp and used them to develop anti bodies or even a cure. maybe even find ways to counter the infection to buy people who do get infected time. or like one officer in the Sacrifice comic said, use them as soldier to fight the infected. thought honestly i doubt that would work. at the rate things are going their best bet would be to just gather them, teach them all sorts of survival skills, and send them to isolated islands as a sort of safe guard so at least some humans can survive the coming apocalypse.
just another thing to add is that Gary Schwartz voices the plane pilot in the Dead Air finale. Thought you'd like this for the next lore drop. Also as the Special Infected replacing the Church guy... my theory is just Special Infected have been around for a while, but it's really the first time the L4D1 survivors see one, we never are really told or find out when specials start appearing and for all we know they could've been here since day 1, 4 survivors aren't really a valid source. CEDA also has the little poster board with Boomer info and they could've had that for a long time in captivity. Thought this was interesting trivia. Thanks for keeping the lore series going!
The L4D1 survivors have been fighting the infected for 2 weeks before No Mercy, so if the SI were around at that time, they would have been guaranteed to encounter them in some capacity.
So unrelated to the campaign but conducive to the wire left 4 dead timeline that you’ve developed: so we know that Dead center takes place in Savannah which is southeast Georgia. And in the opening of dark Carnival we see a sign that says Atlanta is west on interstate 16, implying that the survivors were moving northward to potentially take one of the highways leading to Alabama. The confusing aspect of this is then figuring out where the passing takes place geographically. Assuming the passing takes place directly after Dead Center, then due to the change in time and weather it can be assumed the L4D2 survivors must’ve been driving for at least a few hours but if they were driving westward then the placement of the passing makes no sense. The safest bet would be to assume that it takes place near the coastline but Savannah is already on the coast and there’s no major bodies of water throughout the route to Atlanta so something’s off either timeline wise of geographically
Dark Carnival is confirmed to take place in Griffin, Georgia, based on the band posters and Midnight Riders blog. The Passing has to be nearby, since it takes place on the evening before Dark Carnival, and a day after Dead Center (Coach has a voiceline saying "You've been killing zombies for the better part of 2 days, boy" to Ellis, so it has to be more than 24 hours, but less than 48). Around 36 hours after would make sense, since The Passing takes place in the evening, with The Sacrifice likely taking place just a few days before at most (Though I like to imagine it takes places on the same day as Dead Center, due to Bill's line: "You know who runs around filling up things with gas? Idiots." nicely juxtaposing Dead Center's finale of running around and filling up a thing with gas like an idiot.) You'd think The Sacrifice/The Passing is near the ocean, but it _could_ make sense to say it's a river that leads directly to the florida keys, even if that it a considerable distance to sail for. Plus, if you overlay the two campaigns, it looks a lot more like a river, rather than an ocean, with 2 bridges crossing over the body of water. Overall, though, the game's geography does not seem to match any real-life geography, since we have a map showing Fairfield (Philadelphia) as being right next to Allegheny national forest in the game, which is definitely not the case in reality.
Oddly enough, I would argue that it may make more sense that the guy DID turn into a special infected so fast. There's no way the infected operate at the intensity they do for 2 weeks to evolve all while fighting with each other and vomiting with no food or drink to replenish them. The rapid mutation would cause a rise in temperature (I believe becoming delirious can be a symptom of being at too high a temperature), meaning that hunter is tearing you up because he thinks YOU'RE the infected that killed someone he cared about.
I know this is pretty obvious but the wall graffiti truly shows how depressing and horrible everything is in the L4D universe. Unless your immune and/or have access to a lot of weapons and ammo, you're pretty much dead. Your kids (if you have any) dead as soon as they get infected since the virus is too much for a child's immune system. And the fact that you're basically fucked when the infection enters you... I gotta say this universe is on par with the half-life universe with how dark and depressing everything is. Not a glimmer of hope found.
*i will tell you death toll is my favorite campaign ever in left 4 dead series. even before left 4 dead 2 released + E3 Trailer in Summer 2009: You can see screenshot or video in Death Tool Chapter 1 Map in after Riverside sign Tunnel, You can see the wall: "Left 4 Dead 2, We Gonna see you!" something. it was iconic.*
Do you think that the Left 4 Dead 1 version of the maps should have the analysis for it's story? I saw a vid posted a few days ago detailing differences of the L4D1 maps in between L4D1 & L4D2. The L4D2 ports focus on gameplay so there were alterations to the maps, but in L4D1 there were more details.
Yes There are a lot of inconsistencies but the maps still display accurate and important information most of the time. The map in Crash Course and the map in Dead Center are the best examples. 2 maps that show conflicting information, but the green circles still match the locations of CEDA evacuation centers. (More specifically the Vannah Hotel, which is only in L4D2) They are definitely worth pointing out, even if its not 100% accurate.
@@ImNotConz The green circles are safe zones, not evacuation centers. You also referred to them as such in your Crash Course video. What I think is that the safe zone had become overrun and that is why CEDA was trying to EVACUATE civilians. Either that or the person drawing the red X just misjudged and thought Georgia had been overrun.
Somehow if you sneek around in chapter 5 on open wided area, you can see the car on right or left (rng) side before finale. That cars are refferring last stand campaign which is "what if" the survivor are takin the car instead of picked by boat
In terms of how fast someone turns in the L4D universe. Its stated multiple times that the infection mutated rapidly, making it hard to pin down. Its not unreasonable to believe that because of this the incubation period for the green flu may vary depending on how it continues to mutate.
i love how i discovered your videos a day after i finnaly played L4F2 and modded it beyond recognition, anyway, love your vids, love this game and love the story (at least how it's told)
If I remember correctly the original Death Toll campaign especially in that Main street that Zoey was talking about their is no crescendo event there after activating the forklift you just activate it and be on your way to the safehouse.
great video as always💥 one thing though, in the final chapter of this campaign, before going to the boat house, if you turn right, you can see a pickup truck with its lights on, I once heard that was supposed to be where they planned to start the last stand campaign, but I it was cut and that's when they decided they consider the last stand none cannon. I'm not completely sure though
That pickup truck was added with the Last Stand update, and is more of an easteregg rather than a canon connection. The idea behind it is that, just like in L4D1, The Last Stand could be a real location in the game's universe, but the survivors don't canonically visit it.
@@ImNotConz Could be interesting to try and piece together the stories of some custom campaigns. Most don't have any coherent lore, but the few that do could make for interesting videos like this series (and give more exposure to the campaigns that put in that extra effort to develop a cohesive story)
@@ImNotConz I love watching them every week!! I've played through the whole campaigns in one day with friends, but didn't really pay attention to how much of the lore was in the walls. Its always interesting to know more lore!

I'm glad your enjoying the videos and thank you for the comment :) Breaking down this games lore is like a diet version of Dark Souls lore, super in depth when you start piecing everything together. and its a ton of fun to do also.
5:25 But in the comic, Zoe’s mom turned into a zombie in a matter of minutes. I think what happened was that it takes longer for a person to become a special infected.
The finale for this campaign was one of the most rage inducing experience I had to deal with on Expert, my nephew and I had to restart several times until my older sister had told us about a safe spot near the rocks at the edge of the map. A fun map and I always joked with my nephew how crazy it would be that our home town of riverside here in California would make for a crazy location here in left 4 dead.
I would like to point out that the disease itself could also vary in transformation due to how you are infected. Like for instance be infected by the airborne version of the disease takes a little longer then being infected by a injection. With spit, mucus, and/or blood through biting, scratching, or various other open wound methods.
I think what happened to John and Amanda is easy to figure out. They stopped for fuel, and were attacked by the infected. Either their boat was damaged, and the ran it aground to try and escape on foot, or they tried to escape with the boat, ran aground, and were overrun as they tried to back off the sandbar. Either way, I personally think they got what was coming to them.
When you have released all the campaign stories, you should a super cut with them in chronological order. I’d love to have it on in the background while working/sleeping
The only thing that was left to mention, was how the last map on this campaign also connects to "The Last Stand". You can find the path on the right side, after leaving the house with the map mentioned at 11:25. EDIT: Typo
Theory about the church guy It says multiple times that the virus rapidly mutates. Another example is the military Boomer in the comics. What I think is that when threatened, and other circumstances, the virus mutates rapidly instead of going slow.
During mercy hospital finale, when calling for rescue, the pilot says he'll be there in 15 minutes, although some time later he'll say he got into an accident and will be late. This is probably a hint he got bit
In regards to John and Amanda: Imagine having the insane luck of being a carrier, having your spouse ALSO be a carrier and having a seafaring boat during the outbreak. It genuinely feels like their choice to betray the survivors took away all their luck and put it into the red going by their washed up ship in The Sacrifice.
Death Toll is easily my favourite of the Left 4 Dead campaigns. No Mercy, Dead Air and Blood Harvest all have good chapters, but Death Toll is amazing all the way through. The atmosphere of the drains, the trainyard, the church, the town and the boathouse are all incredible. Expert runs on Left 4 Dead feel slightly easier than in Left 4 Dead 2, because you don't have that insane panic event at the end of Chapter 4. Oh, and I think the guy in the church turning into a special infected is just a gimmick. On Easy and Normal he just turns into a common infected. On Advanced and Expert he turns into a special infected.
@@LeighWHeard I checked the decompiled map and scripts, and in both games he has a 25% chance of being a Hunter, a 25% chance of being a Smoker, and a 50% chance of being a Boomer.
@@JAiZUA-cam OK. Must be just a hazy, blurred and misconstrued memory of mine from the L4D early days. I seldom play the lower difficulties anymore, so I'm probably just misremembering. But I played a LOT of easy difficulty campaigns getting the Nothing Special achievement. That was brutal. Eventually a friend and I managed it. But we did it on Blood Harvest.
I really do think it's interesting that the lore indicates that multiple towns held off against the undead for a while after the initial apocalypse, and its even crazier how you could've met up with them if the survivors arrived a day earlier
At 3:22 notice that the yellow spray, sprays the number except number zero meaning no one left is alive but one is still alive at the church in the safe house.
you have to remember that the timeframe of infection is wild, as a grafitti said "it takes 15 days to turn, 10, 5, 1 day, i've seen one happen in 5 hours'' the mutation potential on the green flu is nothing as seen in the world, meaning that in the span of days from no mercy to death toll it could have mutated and either made the mutation time faster or slower
Some facts about the Dead-Air 130, Its refered to as an AC-130 in some files (so the gunship version, not the cargo version). The markings on it are not US markings, but actually Republic Of Korea Air Force markings. The particular C-130 used as reference (with matching camo) was still in operational service as of 2015. The unfinished Dam It! campaign canonically takes place after Dead Air
In No Mercy finale, after you kill the first tank there is a voiceline of the heli pilot that says something like "Mercy hospital i'll run a bit late, had a little accident" in an anxious voice so he may have seen another survivor while flying to mercy and bitten by that "survivor"
Johnny sounds like he might have been immune if he was able to pull that off. Perhaps he was overwhelmed eventually, it’s not hard to overwhelm even an armed survivor.
Oh boy! A new video to watch! Quick! Make the large popcorn and buy 2 Liter of Coca Cola bottle; soda. I cannot wait to see what the UA-camr is gonna say about this campaign! ^-^
5:28 The thing with the green flu virus or whatever it was called, is that it mutates really fast that its incubation period is probably determined by the infected person's genes/immune system, how well their body can put up a fight against the virus. Some probably turns almost instantly and others take hours if not days to turn(as seen in that one graffiti in one of the no mercy safe houses), though this is just how I interpret the information I have so there's that Another thing to note is that, why are there people that are basically immune to the virus? What's the deciding factor for that? I really hope they made it clear, even if not in game but in the comics because the game's story is really interesting and now it's like HoTD(zombie anime) where it's already been a decade and we still haven't gotten any answers to most questions about the lore of the game
Loved the video as always. I wanted to ask though if you’ve seen the analog horror series based on left 4 dead? If so how do you feel about it would you ever make a video on it? Feel like it would fit your channel well
My theory with the church guy (and the later military guys in the comic) turning to special infected, and so quick, was this: The infections STARTS slowish, with only direct transferrence (saliva) but then ramps up into a viral state, which is why we see people arguing about how long it takes to turn, and why society gradually breaks down and goes anti-carrier (the comics show us the Green Flu causes hallucinations towards Carriers, even before higher brain function ceases, so it stands to reason this was an early.and widespread symptom) and why CEDA and the Military seemed to be so ahead of the outbreak in the South. 2 weeks after first infection the specials appear, but theyre rare. My theory is that specials are not an advancement from existing infected, but a circumstantial or even random mutation from *survivors* brought on by how volatile and viral the Green Flu has become. Boomers arent obese pre-infection; their clothes are several sizes too small. There cant possibly be this many parkour enthusiasts roaming around in multiple parts of the country, especially in the backwoods louisiana bayou and rural PA, and if smoking (or even just tobacco cancer, or hell JUST lung cancer) was the key to a smoker mutation, we would be drowning in smokers. Ergo, the mutations are somewhat random, perhaps situationally triggered (just look at what they do, three to five of the Specials are designed to split up groups, one attracts spread out commons), and only occur in the post-2 weeks-infections.
I like to think that the endless horde on the last part of Chapter 4 are civillians the military barricaded in a building thinking it would keep them safe. The town is awfully empty and eerily quiet. You may wonder where the people went given the lack of zombies, maybe they all got out? Then they're upon you. Riverside was a massacre.
9:30 OR the special infected started spawning, because infected people were around other infected people - and such concentration leads to more effective mutations OR the regular infected were infected via the green flu, through air - and the bites of the regulars could lead to mutating into a special (which is some of them look pretty damaged)
Another reason l can think of the no mercy pilot turning is that the green flu can be airborne since that comic says that it changes frown how it spreads and the pilot had no protection for his face
I was exploring the Sacrifice maps recently in gmod because I was bored and not only is the Saint Lidia there openly in the sacrifice but its also in the same area just a stones throw away behind yet another boat. I think they just didn't have too many boat models.

I always said all-uh-gain-ee.
Happy Halloween btw.
@@JAiZUA-cam I mean yea but with how much mystery the green flu has it's really hard to get a concrete answer.
You can hear distant gunfire on the first and fourth maps. Possibly from survivors or the military.
Death toll is my second fav campaign after dark carnival love these videos, can't wait for dead air cause that's also one of my favs
Huh, I finish playing death toll, get off to have a snack and watch UA-cam, and this is the first thing recommended
Uploaded 3 min ago YES plus this is my favourite campaign; keep up the amazing work dude, looking forward to the next three ❤
I love that someone made the time to put yellow spray paint on stuff for dramatic effect while the world was crumbling
The sewer is actually a water treatment plant
Idiots." nicely juxtaposing Dead Center's finale of running around and filling up a thing with gas like an idiot.)
You'd think The Sacrifice/The Passing is near the ocean, but it _could_ make sense to say it's a river that leads directly to the florida keys, even if that it a considerable distance to sail for.
I enjoy your videos, shows me the lore to the series that I never knew existed! Can't wait to see Blood Harvest
Not a glimmer of hope found.
always gets a little heart attack for which particular infected dude in the church becomes because he has become a tank near times
He can’t spawn as a tank in the default game.
You must have a plug in you forgot to uninstall that or mandela affect because it seems very much so that overs have experienced the same thing.
Yeah I don't think he can turn into tank
But if you don't want mini heart attack just listen to sound he makes while turning.
I swear it turned into a smoker for me once
@@thediam0nddrag0n78 I mean he will turn into any male special infected except tank
He does a great job breaking down the story of each campaign and pointing out all the things I missed when I played left 4 dead.
A friend and I used to love playing and replaying this campaign, esp chapter 2 The Drains, every time the pipes were different.
+1
Yes
There are a lot of inconsistencies but the maps still display accurate and important information most of the time. The map in Crash Course and the map in Dead Center are the best examples. 2 maps that show conflicting information, but the green circles still match the locations of CEDA evacuation centers. (More specifically the Vannah Hotel, which is only in L4D2)
They are definitely worth pointing out, even if its not 100% accurate.
OH DUDE- I legit have PTSD from the clusterfuck alleyway from when me and my friends played all campaigns on expert.
why did the fact that you can play the piano made interested me the most oh and ellen mclain also voiced the admistator from tf2
Somehow if you sneek around in chapter 5 on open wided area, you can see the car on right or left (rng) side before finale. That cars are refferring last stand campaign which is "what if" the survivor are takin the car instead of picked by boat
It isn't RNG, it's on the right, behind the wooden gate, every time.
I figured the guy in the church turning slower was because of his mutation and not just a base infected
If I remember correctly the original Death Toll campaign especially in that Main street that Zoey was talking about their is no crescendo event there after activating the forklift you just activate it and be on your way to the safehouse.
great video as always💥
one thing though, in the final chapter of this campaign, before going to the boat house, if you turn right, you can see a pickup truck with its lights on, I once heard that was supposed to be where they planned to start the last stand campaign, but I it was cut and that's when they decided they consider the last stand none cannon. I'm not completely sure though
That pickup truck was added with the Last Stand update, and is more of an easteregg rather than a canon connection. The idea behind it is that, just like in L4D1, The Last Stand could be a real location in the game's universe, but the survivors don't canonically visit it.
@ oh cool, thank you so much
4:35 While we're at it :
The Witch is voiced by Ellen McLain, which also voices the Administrator in TF2 and Glad0s in the Portal series.
My most replayed L4D1 campaign honestly, such a fun one.
4:35 I feel called out :D Nice video tho! I love this series, and I don't know what'll come next after this series ends.
I do remember your comment on the No Mercy video lol
and neither do I but I'll figure it out.
Thank you for the comment :)
I do plan on doing something involving the custom campaigns for sure. I don't play custom campaigns often but I've heard nothing but good things about some of them, and doing a video on them will be a lot of fun (Questionable Ethics is the shit)
I'm glad your enjoying the videos and thank you for the comment :)
Breaking down this games lore is like a diet version of Dark Souls lore, super in depth when you start piecing everything together. and its a ton of fun to do also.
5:25 But in the comic, Zoe’s mom turned into a zombie in a matter of minutes. I think what happened was that it takes longer for a person to become a special infected.
If I remember correctly, she was bitten on the face, so it might have gone a lot faster than if the zombie bit her arm or leg
I just replayed this campaign for the 1st time in forever & I had forgot how good it was
0:40 this was added in L4D2, as in the original there was nothing behind you
I'm excited to see this feature 🙌
Woah i actually never expected you to upload death toll this fast 😭😭
Absolutely sensational series!! Death Toll has always been my favorite
I don’t want this series to end, and tons of people are just copying your videos 😿
Probably my favorite of L4d1's campaigns, feel right at home
6:48 WHAT IS THIS SIGHT I LOVE IT
I think Death Toll (along with No Mercy) is my favorite campaign from L4D1. The Crazy Church Dude really adds a lot to this campaign.
ANOTHER STORY VID HAS HIT MY FEED!!
When you have released all the campaign stories, you should a super cut with them in chronological order. I’d love to have it on in the background while working/sleeping
Finally another good the story behind video
early to one of the best video series is a blessing 🎉
This was my personal favorite campaign
6:10 You mean to tell me the Chopper crashed because the pilot got infected and not because the Chopper was missing it's rotors?
The only thing that was left to mention, was how the last map on this campaign also connects to "The Last Stand". You can find the path on the right side, after leaving the house with the map mentioned at 11:25.
EDIT: Typo
Theory about the church guy
It says multiple times that the virus rapidly mutates. Another example is the military Boomer in the comics. What I think is that when threatened, and other circumstances, the virus mutates rapidly instead of going slow.
I wish conz kiss me when I sleep
During mercy hospital finale, when calling for rescue, the pilot says he'll be there in 15 minutes, although some time later he'll say he got into an accident and will be late. This is probably a hint he got bit
I just played this on expert today, what a nightmare it was lol. Great map with a great challenge
Pretty sure church guy turns into an SI regardless of difficulty.
@JAiZUA-cam Now I have to play it to check. Maybe he only turns into a common in the first Left 4 Dead. But I've definitely seen it happen.
But we did it on Blood Harvest.
i cant believe i never realized the church guy was the voice of scout especially when he shouts
I really do think it's interesting that the lore indicates that multiple towns held off against the undead for a while after the initial apocalypse, and its even crazier how you could've met up with them if the survivors arrived a day earlier
I’m gonna be sad when this series is over
Fun fact: For many years, Crash course truck wasn't there at the beginning. It got added just about two-three years ago. Around The last stand update.
I just started playing both games and i love them
At 3:22 notice that the yellow spray, sprays the number except number zero meaning no one left is alive but one is still alive at the church in the safe house.
you have to remember that the timeframe of infection is wild, as a grafitti said "it takes 15 days to turn, 10, 5, 1 day, i've seen one happen in 5 hours'' the mutation potential on the green flu is nothing as seen in the world, meaning that in the span of days from no mercy to death toll it could have mutated and either made the mutation time faster or slower
Some facts about the Dead-Air 130,
Its refered to as an AC-130 in some files (so the gunship version, not the cargo version).
The markings on it are not US markings, but actually Republic Of Korea Air Force markings. The particular C-130 used as reference (with matching camo) was still in operational service as of 2015.
The unfinished Dam It! campaign canonically takes place after Dead Air
The Korean marking was something I did not know about,
thanks for the heads up.
We carrying with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
another fun fact! John Patrick Lowrie and Ellen McLain (who also voices the administrator in TF2) are married in real life!
How many times am I gonna see these tf2 funfacts
Didn't learn this until after the video was up
Still really cool.
In No Mercy finale, after you kill the first tank there is a voiceline of the heli pilot that says something like "Mercy hospital i'll run a bit late, had a little accident" in an anxious voice so he may have seen another survivor while flying to mercy and bitten by that "survivor"
I didnt know the Church guy was voiced by TF2 scout, now I wanna mod that makes him say "Think fast chucklenuts" As he rings the bell
we're so Pennsylvania maxing rn. I go backpacking in the Allegheny Forest all the time
Gosh I love these
Johnny sounds like he might have been immune if he was able to pull that off.
4:45 Plus those green boxes. Also never seen an m16 shove attack before.
5:28 The thing with the green flu virus or whatever it was called, is that it mutates really fast that its incubation period is probably determined by the infected person's genes/immune system, how well their body can put up a fight against the virus. Some probably turns almost instantly and others take hours if not days to turn(as seen in that one graffiti in one of the no mercy safe houses), though this is just how I interpret the information I have so there's that
Another thing to note is that, why are there people that are basically immune to the virus? What's the deciding factor for that? I really hope they made it clear, even if not in game but in the comics because the game's story is really interesting and now it's like HoTD(zombie anime) where it's already been a decade and we still haven't gotten any answers to most questions about the lore of the game
3:08 First: "I'm happier now I can kill anybody I like." Second: "Psycho."
Loved the video as always. I wanted to ask though if you’ve seen the analog horror series based on left 4 dead? If so how do you feel about it would you ever make a video on it? Feel like it would fit your channel well
I did and i'm still on the fence about it.
Well see after the campaigns are done.
My theory with the church guy (and the later military guys in the comic) turning to special infected, and so quick, was this:
The infections STARTS slowish, with only direct transferrence (saliva) but then ramps up into a viral state, which is why we see people arguing about how long it takes to turn, and why society gradually breaks down and goes anti-carrier (the comics show us the Green Flu causes hallucinations towards Carriers, even before higher brain function ceases, so it stands to reason this was an early.and widespread symptom) and why CEDA and the Military seemed to be so ahead of the outbreak in the South.
I would love this too turn too a movie
I like to think that the endless horde on the last part of Chapter 4 are civillians the military barricaded in a building thinking it would keep them safe. The town is awfully empty and eerily quiet. You may wonder where the people went given the lack of zombies, maybe they all got out? Then they're upon you. Riverside was a massacre.
9:30 OR the special infected started spawning, because infected people were around other infected people - and such concentration leads to more effective mutations
OR the regular infected were infected via the green flu, through air - and the bites of the regulars could lead to mutating into a special (which is some of them look pretty damaged)
i live 2 hours from riverside..
Another reason l can think of the no mercy pilot turning is that the green flu can be airborne since that comic says that it changes frown how it spreads and the pilot had no protection for his face
Amazing videos bro 🔥
love these vids brooo
I was exploring the Sacrifice maps recently in gmod because I was bored and not only is the Saint Lidia there openly in the sacrifice but its also in the same area just a stones throw away behind yet another boat.
I think they just didn't have too many boat models.
12:15
she also voices The Administrator (The Announcer) from TF2
I think the radio guy was voiced by David scully in this mission, Sargeant Johnson from halo
