I am Happy to share my experience that which engine oil is best for Triumph Speed 400, I Recommend - MOTUL 300V2 10W50, MRP. 1700rs per Ltr

Timeline
1st engine oil (before 1st service) - 0 to 1200KMs
2nd Engine Oil (after 1st Service) - 1200 to 5150KMs
3rd Engine Oil (Before going on Spiti Ride) - 5150km to 8900kms (still Running)

In my city triumph work shop they used castrol power 1 ultimate for my first service i have done about 7300 kms on my speed do u recommend to change oil nd castrol or motul?

Get the Engine Oil checked, make sure it is still thick. So that we can also know how How Castrol Power 1 is performing

As you have done more than 6000 kms on Castrol Power1 ,change it. No 2 minds about it.

A very timely video. My Speed 400 now has 297 miles on it and I am considering what oil to use for the first oil change. Not many full synthetic 10W50 oils are available, but I was considering Motul 10W50 as my previous limited experience with this brand has been good. I very likely will be using Motul as this video has confirmed it would be an excellent choice. Thanks.....
Yes, definetly go for it, my 5k KM's on Motul 300v2 is good so far
After 300v2 i will try Motul 7100 which have more life compared to 300v2
Hi, go with Motul 7100, 10w50, it is economical and very good quality. Using it for last 3000 kms and very happy with it.Will continue with this or Castrol Power1, which is available at the service center now, it was not there previously. If your service center has Castrol Power1 then go with it and change at 5000 kms use.

Where can we buy the parts for the oil change? I mean the oil filter and o rings have to be replaced.
Do triumph service provide the spares? Or bajaj service centre??

Oil filter is same as KTM's Pulsars NS/RS and dominar
And O rings i didnt find required to be replaced. If required take those rings to a local shop having parts of Bajaj you will definelty find something

They are refusing to use other oils than the supplied prolube because of warranty issues.
Guess i will have to get the tools to do it myself atleast they wont know if i use liquimoly or anyother of the same colour. 😁

Hi Shiv,
1st if your motorcycle is close to 4k-5k kms go to serivce centre and ask them to check the quality of the engine oil. If they agree to change it they will only pour HP prolube which will again going to last for only 4k-5k kms.
2nd if you can convince them to put Motul and they agree then it is well and good
3rd option reach out to local mechanic (or you can reach out to Klam bhai i mentioned in the video)
And get your oil changed to Motul 7100 or Motul 300v2 as per your wish
But this 3rd option will Void your warranty but you will enjoy riding your motorcycle with better engine oil.

Triumph guy says warranty will go void if we other oils. 😢 which I don’t think it’s true.. tried to get them to use motul but they weren’t accepting. Plz suggest..

Hi bro, I recently switched to Castrol 10w50 Super bike Engine oil in my speed 400. Now i can feel the difference. The Hp Oil is of no use, felt like water when it was drained. Now the bike feels more Vibe free & Heats Less. Dear folks Save your engine by using any other OIL brands other than stock.

@@roadrunner2757 Yes, probably they are trying to keep the servicing cost low so that sales are not impacted. I switched to castrol and can feel day and night difference in terms of smoothness, I hope my warranty is not voided.

Yes, once i get good KM's range from 300v2 next i will check 7100 as well. Fingers crossed as of now because the main test of engine oil is going to be now as in Delhi the temp will going to hit 45-46 celcius

Facing terrible heating issue on my bike. Will this oil change result in reducing heating issue?
Heating issue is so far because of ECU update which Triumph rolled out in Feb. I dont think engine oil results in Heating. Go to nearest service centre and ask them reverse the last ECU update
A good quality engine oil does help in cooling.. Yes..
By changing to good engine oil will reduce engine heat ?
I was not facing engine heat issue yet. So change in engine oil has not changed anything.

My speed 400 HP oil was quikly evaprated after 6000km only 600ml left in engine showroom guys was shocked while they drained engine oil. I don't know what was the issue. Shall I go for motul.
Thanks for sharing. Guys this is why i am requesting Triumph but they are not listening. Its better to have your own decision. My Recommendation is Motul is way better

Using Putoline Ntech Pro+ 10W50 on my Speed 400... Results are impeccable...

Hi! Have you noticed a difference in refinement and vibrations? That’s the first thing I noticed after the first service. Before that the bike felt so smooth and refined. After the oil change it felt vibey and not so smooth.

better to use 7100. 300v2 is a race spec oil

@@2wheeledcompanion the good thing about Motul 7100 is even you ride little rough evaporation level is less. Fully Synthetics doesnt evaporate like Mineral ones. So dont worry until your engine is running without issue Motul will not going to drain much
Hi, I have purchased a 2024 model in Feb. I am getting very bad mileage of
Visit the Service centre ask them to check for any ECU update is there or any other issue in bike.
Also record your riding and check how you are using Clutch. Sometimes riding style also affects the mileage
