    Quite crispy and precise ride review and this was much needed especially when you're going for the bigger engines and short test rides provided by the showrooms doesn't justify that! I did a lot of long rides on Lucknow-Agra Expressway, Yamuna Expressway and Purvanchal Expressway and I observed that you can't maintain triple digit speeds for a longer duration due to the windblasts coming a lot as a result of them being broader as compared to the typical national or state highways! I love to ride more on highways than the expressways due to that reason otherwise expressways are better when you're travelling by car or bus! Broader the roads, more and more the windblasts! Keep up the good work as always! 🙏🙌❤️

    Is there any difference in vibrations between speed 400 and scrambler 400x? As they both have the same engine, I can find some reviews suggesting s400 feels smooth as compared to scrambler...I am planning to get scrambler and have test ride both the bikes but didn't seem to notice much difference as I was not able to get it above 60 due to heavy traffic in city...

    You had made a video attacking the motorinc folks for claiming that the bike was a missed opportunity mainly due to the same vibration issue thry had faced in their test unit. How would you justify it now? It is now widely accepted that the speed 400 has all its composure focused towards the mid rpms, and becomes harsh thereafter. Would you say they were right in suggesting that triumph should have made either a slower revving roadster bike with even better lower end and with a shorter rpm limit or explored tuning closer to that of the ktms? Apart from suspension comfort and more lower end torque, doesnt the duke 250 have the same array of ability as a 400cc speed while arguably having better 120kmph cruising ability and efficiency?

    • @NewsXAuto
      @NewsXAuto  9 місяців тому +1

      The MotorInc chaps were WRONG on all counts. That is why after my video exposing the real reason behind their negativity they were all praises about the Scrambler that has the same engine and gearbox! You apparently conveniently missed Shumi's statement that he "glanced at the Speedo while gunning it over a rough patch and he was doing 140 kmh without even realising" . Where the hell did those vibrations disappear now if it really did vibrate a lot after 100?
      I categorically mentioned that my first unit did NOT have those vibrations. This one had, that too because it wasn't serviced before it was given to me. On this video itself there is a gent (Roadrunner) who has done an extensive road trip and he faced no issues with "vibrations" and was able to hold 130-140 kmh for long durations.
      It has been proven that the Speed 400 is a near-perfect motorcycle that does full justice to what its intended to do: be a fantastic city bike, and a good tourer. Period.

      @@NewsXAuto oh did he? I don't remember that part. But I do remember him having the same complaint of it being harsh above 6k rpm and it feeling completely different bike above and below 6k rpm due to the contrast in refinement. Maybe there's a manufacturing protocol lapse that's causing a variation in the behaviour of different bikes or maybe it's just the personal perspective. When I personally test rode, I felt the speeds refinement till 110 was similar to the d250 and became a little harsh thereafter. But then based on your videos, there's a significant difference between the true speeds of both these bikes and motorinc claim of it being a good 110kmph cruiser checks out. Just wondering as I'm a prospective buyer of a speed 400, d250 or a used gen 2 390.

    • @NewsXAuto
      @NewsXAuto  9 місяців тому +1

      @@kp6425v what MotorInc said, nothing of it checks out. And you need to watch their Scrambler X video again. "I didn't realise I was doing 130-140" and "the vibrations above 100 don't allow you to take the bike there" are highly contradictory statements. There's no manufacturing or quality lapse. Otherwise you would have heard from a lot of owners that they can't tour on this bike. The vast majority has no such complaints. Regarding your dilemma,.just get the one YOU like the most. The one that FEELS the most right to you.

      Hey guys, stop fighting, listen to this. I've been following this bike and its videos from the start and have seen both motorinc and this guy's video on them. Initially when I test rode this in Bangalore, yes there were vibes for sure and starting around 6k rpm and when I pushed in 5th, I felt vibes as early as 80kmpl. I tried the scrambler too but I was more focused on the ride dynamics than vibes, so can't comment. Later on I took 2 more tests of the speed 400 and found vibes at exactly the same revs. I dropped the bike from my list. However, I test rode this again after I got interested in the Maverick. It was a new bike and surprisingly I felt no vibes till 7000 rpm in 3rd 4th and 5th gears. Felt surprisingly smooth even at 7. I was in city limits on good Friday, less traffic but I still couldn't push beyond 7k. So looks like triumph has done something about the vibrations part. But I'm still leaning towards the Maverick for its calmer engine although speed offers more for the money

      Anyway, please be advised that the latter are lovely bikes, but they stand nowhere in comparison in outright performance stakes when compared to the former two. Relaxed cruising is one just one part of the equation. Buyers getting the Triumph and Himalayan expect more performance than what the CBs and H-D have to offer.

    Please help me on which bike should I go for. I am totally dependent on your decision.
    This will be only one bike for all purpose.

      I am shorter guy, I like Duke 390 but I am afraid that on long Highway rides if my hand will pain then it will not be easy ride for me. Triumph I like but it is feeling too short, the bike is good but I don't know despite of every thing, my heart is not convincing me for buying it, but my brain definitely thinks that it would be great decision.
      Previously I was riding FZs and Avenger 2020. I am having an biking experience of about 20 years.
      Actually, mujhe thoda thoda sab kuch chaiye.
      I took a test ride of supermeteor 650 as well, I liked that bike more than the bikes two mentioned above. But I am afraid that on lower speed, u-turn or sharp turn or on ghat roads, and pulling back the bike from parking may cause some issue..
      I want an good upgrade, and honestly speaking this would be my last bike and after that I don't think that I would buy a new bike.
      So that is why I am very much confused.
      I just sold my Avenger 220 a couple of days back.
      One thing more sir I know you ride up all these bike and having a good experience on all of these bikes.. I watched your all of the videos of all three bikes.
      That is why I am totally dependent on an advise of expert like you.

    What the actual fck... Bro, that's like almost 20+ km/hr speedo error...? I knew it since day 1, there was something fishy going on. But, this is Outrageous on Triumphs part throwing such cheap gimmicks.

    • @NewsXAuto
      @NewsXAuto  9 місяців тому

      Nothing outrageous or fishy, and there's certainly no cheap gimmick thrown by Bajaj/Triumph. It would have been had they claimed it to the quickest or fastest bike in the segment. They aren't doing that at all 😃The speedo error isn't 20 kmh; that's not how you measure it. It has an above 10 per cent speedo error, and this is not the first bike to have that kind of speedo error. That said, yes, they should have tried to contain it under 5 per cent like they have with the KTMs. Heck, the analogue RE 350s' (Hunter, Classic, Meteor, and Bullet) have nearly zero per cent error up to about 80 kmh and less than 5 per cent above that! 😃
      But that doesn't change the fact that it's still a very enjoyable motorcycle 😃

      I rode it the other day, yes its fun. I also understand that no motorcycle speedo is perfect but, 10% bruh... Nah... When kids are paying their hard earned cash they should not be settling for less. My suggestion is to bump their budget and buy a KTM 390. @@NewsXAuto

      @@officalJalgara Disagree 😃 Speedo error is absolutely no reason to discard ANY vehicle, a fun-to-ride motorcycle, more so! People would be disappointed for sure, but this would not change their buying decision even one bit. 😊

      The fuck... have not stated anywhere to discard the 400, I have even mentioned I enjoyed it. Okay bro let me take your route of being an asshole. If there are 100
      people, and they have 2 bikes of exact or more performance specs with one bike manufacturer openly state they have 10+ % speedo error. Disagree how much ever the fuck you want. They will chose the bike with no speedo error period. That's my whole point. Change your channel name to "youdontknowshitXAuto" @@NewsXAuto

      No no, the lack of second service caused absolutely no harm to the bearings yet. Had conveyed to Triumph that the bike needs to be serviced immediately!
