if you take the 2 screws out of the bottom plate, plus the screw from your contact from the coil, you can turn the bottom plate counter clockwise until you line up the opening on the bottom plate with the coil contact terminal, you can lift it straight up and out of the distributer , makes it very easy to work on
Thanks for the videos. My 610 with the Wisconsin VH4d engine will start and occasionally run great anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, then it starts to act like it is possibly flooding? It won't matter if you have throttle at idle or full it will only run at idle and then not very well. I have taken the carb off twice to clean and inspect thinking needle valve wasn't seating (the second time I had someone else check it), have put new points and coil on (it has a different rotor and points and condenser is external, didn't change condenser) and run gas to carb with fresh gas from a gravity feed tank and still not running right. It may come out of its funk spontaneously and run well as I said, but mostly not and is basically unusable. Any ideas on what to look for? Thanks again.
Hey I'm having an issue with the ignition switch wiring. Could you post the layout of your ignition switch wiring please? Would be a great help. Thanks in Advance.

I always stuff a paper towel in the hold at the bottom in case I drop one of those small screws.
Do you have a drawing of how the spark plug wires go on the distributor cap. My helper pulled them all off prior to me marking them. Thanks

starting with the top left corner of the circle on the distributor cap, what number cylinder goes to each plug?
Did you change that cause you had no spark?
No just for regular maintenance
Anybody have one of the with no spark? Seems all my parts are new, but no spark.
