I think something else really needs to be mentioned: since Covid, EVERYONE has been suffering from QC issues. My brand new 2023 RAV4 spit out a transmission, my 2022 Tacoma spit out a rear diff seal and my dad’s 2023 Tacoma left an axle on the side of the road. I don’t think my rav4 made it to 800 miles. I traded my Tacoma in for a 2024 rubicon because I figured that if I have to fix it, I might’ve well have a smile on my face when I get back into it because I genuinely enjoy driving it.
I ordered my 2017 Willys Unlimited and have it since Feb 2017. I have spent very little on repairs. Just put brakes on rear for the first time.
The 3.6L also had a e/torque version which did not have the aux battery, the alternator gets replaced by a generator and a larger 48V battery, which is probably placed in an awful position to get at. I think the 2.0L turbo also had it in the manual? The best part is the jeep community has figured out the aux delete is a viable solution, with no long term affects that we know of so far. Understanding the reason is to stop the "vampire" of the aux on the main, not eliminating the start/stop, but also understanding the drain on the main by not shutting off the auto s/s either manually or 3rd party. Thank you Rob for testing this and keeping us updated.
I have 2 Jeeps, a '96 ZJ, and a '23 JLU. The ZJ is well used. I got it for free, but considered it a project vehicle for overlanding and mild rock crawling. The JLU is primarily intended to pull behind or camping rig, for side trips and adventures when camping. Jeeps are like no other vehicle. A person likes them or they don't.
With the ZF 8-speed automatic, fuel economy is excellent for the JLU. Having the stop/start system with eTorque, is better than the non-eTorque system on my '20 Dodge Durango.
Our 2022 Wrangler has 18k miles on it, so far so good. Good video.

That rollover due to high center of gravity was also an issue with the military jeep (aka 1/4 ton truck on my old military license).
I've been considering a 2023 Willy's 4 door., which is missing a few things that the 2024 does have like extra air bags. Convince me! lol

I have 3 jeeps a 2010 wrangler a 2014 wrangler unlimited and a Jeep gladiator 2021 . The 2010 keeps going the 2014 has issues. Gladiator ok but seems cheaper quality
The real problem with the door battery set up is when you run batteries in parallel they have to be the same size or the little battery will drag the big battery down

Rob,just my opinion here...bypassing the Aux Batt and continuing to use the Auto start/stop feature is not a good idea.Using the main batt to provide the electrical needs for both the start/stop feature and the vehicle requirements has to have some effect on the longevity of the main batt.Isn’t that why there are two individual batteries for two individual electrical requirements?At the very least I would upgrade the main batt to an H7 type
Never do a mod that you're not comfortable with. For me this is fine.
The aux is mainly for stop start. Completely take out the aux, the tazer mini off the stop start and your problem is gone.
Unfortunately with all of the new Toyota models coming out with all of these complicated power plants and the cheap interiors in there vehicles they soon be no longer dependable either

Maybe at one time what you say is true but that's changing now. Jeeps are getting harder to sell and falling in value. Do a search and look for yourself. If you want a Hemi Jeep they are for sale new all across the country for dealer cost or below. As the price of gas go up they will become unsaleable. If you have a used Hemi Jeep for sale it's worthless. Check out the used market on Jeeps and you'll see what is happening.....
2022 Gladiator 18K miles rear window leaks no after market items added top has never been off it clearly is a QC issue with Jeeps google and you'll find plenty of complaints on rear window leaking for many years this leaking issue should never happen. By the way dealers answer oh well! a youtuber had the fix silicon tubing around window it solved the leak issue and looks OEM. Maybe Jeep hasn't figured out QC yet Oh Well!
unfortunately my '22 Gladiator Rubi (3.6 pentastar) has been a disaster - front locker went out, aux battery died just on the year aniv. like it was programmed to fail :), 4wd sensor broke. Latest: very loud lifter pinging - sounds like an 80's Mercedes diesel - just embarrassing...

I’ve changed out my auxiliary battery to a Genesis dual battery and I think it’s better now cause I don’t have to take it to the dealer anymore also I have noticed that as for the savings on fuel I don’t save due to the accessories I have put on my gladiator it now has gained weight lol so I’m just gonna leave it at that. Jeep needs to be made and managed by an American manufacturer, not FIAT nor Stellantis NA.
A lot of Jeeps bad reputations is poorly added aftermarket parts, which cause issues that people blame on Jeep.
Although I do admit,,Jeep does have some design flaws too.
I think the main issue is related to stellantis taking over the brand and lessening the quality of the brand and product. Making the jeep more like a fiat is not going to end well for jeep.
I'll stick with my old Jeeps.
When Jeeps were JEEPS not fiats.
In the old days, with a real Jeep, you could compression start the engine. 🛻🛻🛻
