Legendary era of Spike and Powerblock. Sure there were sponsorships, but they need to break even too. We still learned stuff from this guy. They dropped off big time when Stacey left.
Trucks definitely was not the same after Stacey left. No offense to Kevin Tates, bc he definitely knows how to build, but Stacey isn't a host...he's an instructor. That's why I always loved this era of his builds. Tomb Raider, Lil Red Wagon...so many awesome builds.
Entertaining I've give them that. My son just purchased a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and he is doing the lift, repairing some rust, addressing electrical issues, installing a roof rack, repairing the sound system, bigger tires, brakes, new heavy duty front and rear bumpers, winch, coolant system, control arms, etc. himself in his drive way with just a couple of floor jacks and jack stands. A friend is making the custom bumpers and my son will do the welding and powder coating. All of this in the evenings and on the weekends, with a day job and he isn't a mechanic. I say this for anyone looking to do mods/upgrades to their off-roaders that you don't need a fancy shop, deep pockets ( do some competitive shopping) or think the only way to get what you want is to pay someone to do it for you. My son has made mistakes, learned a lot along the way, had some speed bumps, but when he finishes it, he'll know he did 99% of it himself and will have pride in that. Plus know that if something happens on the trail, he'll have the knowledge to hopefully fix it and keep rolling. My old daily and now his, is a 2005 Jeep TJ Rubicon, 6-speed manual. Not what you would get on the highway with but darn fun to play in the dirt with.
The dad is an absolute buzz kill. That is your son's jeep. Let him build it how he wants to and he will learn from this build what he likes for the future.

TNN not spike
@@LetsGoBrandon-FJB it was Spike starting in 2003. This could be either. Stacey left under Spike.

This is awesome. Someone needs to still produce new videos in this early 2000s era video quality, effects, etc. Would be awesome
Used to watch this every Sunday morning. They don't show you jack shit but I still like the show
Stacey!! MAAAAN i haven't seen anything with him since I was a kid
Spring and shocks sure have come a long way
I miss these days
I hope they post part 3, back in the day, I missed that one and Powernation never replayed it so I never saw the payoff
The TJ is the best version of the Wrangler ever. It has the best wheel base for off road of any iteration of the Jeep for going over obstacles.
Super duper
I had a white 2002 Sahara with that exact same lift AND wheels back in 2003-2006.
With the original drivetrain, this will be one good looking lifted Jeep that will be towed out because the diff or shaft got busted.
I don't wonder how a semi works because I drove one. For the very same company that your rig is.
Take me Jeep for an “oil change”
A pumpkin truck (Schneider truck)
Don't be scared about what Stacey will do to your jeep
Bare minimum beef up the tie rod lol
This must be 20 years old or more!
what about that dana 35 on that rear...?
Exactly. It's death sentence has just been signed with an open date.
Oof.. Man 35's on those axles and no gears, yikes.

You did not address the drive shaft angles when you lift a Jeep over 2 1/2 inches……
Presumably he would have adjusted the long arms to correct the pinion angles for the lift. An sye would definitely help here as well.
