The success rate of condoms vs the success rate of birth control is a marginal difference, to be perfectly fair. Pressuring her to go on the pill when she has a right not to take medication that messes with hormones is not an ideal take. Condoms aren't 100% effective, but neither is the pill. Condoms + pulling out might be the best way to go.

What I most surprised at with the conversation happening about LIB, AD being sexualized is being pushed by the women. If my partner commented on my friend’s body, I would never shout it out across a room. And I would never sexualize my friends with my partner.
We as women are fighting hard to be seen as equals and yet we are so ready to pull our own down. I believe Chelsea and Laura should be held accountable.
I agree. Should jimmy have said that about AD, no. Should Chelsea have said it out loud, also no. If she was upset by his comment, she should’ve have had a conversation with him about why she didn’t like that instead of making AD uncomfortable. Same thing with Lauren. Don’t know why she said that thing to Jearmey.
Yes, I think Deepti was being way too soft on Laura, who asked her partner to s€xu@lly a salt AD and then downplayed it, refused to apologize, and somehow made herself out to be the victim. Laura displayed even more snake-like behavior than Sarah Ann did.
I think Jess has always just wanted screen time. I think it’s weird she took two days to get back her daughter that she missed so much. Putting your kid in a situation where they potentially could have a stranger move in….so weird.
Completely agree. I always saw her as too polished in everything she said. I don't understand why people loved the whole EpiPen thing; to me, it felt scripted. It's just a gut feeling, but nothing she says convinces me. My suspicions are confirmed when she comments at least 3 times on every LIB post. In my opinion, she just wanted to be an influencer.
she was entertaining I will give her that, but definitely not serious about finding a match. I think she really wanted to be memorable though so I agree that her monologue felt so rehearsed.

I might be crazy or blind but I do see the resemblance between Chelsea and Megan Fox 😅 They have the same eyes/nose/cheeks combo and the lips are fairly similar.

I see it too. Just cuz she may not be as "fit" as a woman who's built a career being sexualized on film doesn't mean she's fully wrong. A lot of actors have intense workout routines around filming that no one who has a regular job would be able to maintain. Also she said it's probably just her hair/eye colour she doesn't see it fully.

I’m not surprised Jeramey did what he did. Laura, to me, came across as if she was trying to build a bear. She wanted him to be someone she wanted to be in a relationship with and didn’t care about his wants. If you re-watch bean dip gate Jeramey says Laura told him to do it to AD. Laura then flipped it around and made it seem like Jeramey was out of line when she was laughing about it at first. Also, I can see him getting irritated with her especially when her family was there. Jeramey was still dead wrong for what he did in this last episode but Laura isn’t squeaky clean.

I agree! To me Laura had so many red flags. There was one episode where she made snide comments about him not being college-educated that really turned me off. Also making a big deal about Hawaiian shirts. She obviously didn’t want to accept him for who he’s for. Maybe Jeramy just wanted to see what he could have had with Sara Ann. Like maybe she would love him for who he is 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t know, I’m not done with the episodes yet. Also editing, we don’t know what really happened, just want they want us to understand and these people are super messy on social media.

The point about Clay not wanting to drive an hour to be home with his future wife is concerning. 1hr is not a long drive in realty, my husband and many friends have to do that drive for work and never complain. Maybe it’s just because we are rural and more used to long car trips but it’s unacceptable this early on in their relationship - in my humble opinion.
I 100% agree. My husband and I drove 2 hours back and forth every week to see each other for YEARS. It’s the effort that matters and clay got NONE.
Agreed I once dated someone that drove 2 hours after work just to go on dates with me he would then have to drive back since we hadn't gotten to the point that we were intimate yet. Clay's lack of commitment is evident. @@macymiller3417

I disagree with Natalie. It was not wrong for the fiancée and her mother to say he went on the show right after braking another engagement. They shouldn’t have said inaccurate stuff but nonetheless it pulls the veil to who Jeremy really is.
I also don’t agree with Natalie calling Sarah had a picnic girl it was Laura that was the pic me girl Laura was the one that wanted to win. It was clear. Laura was putting on an act in the pods and the real Laura came out of horrible nasty mean person is no angel that’s for sure but I have no sympathy for Laura Sarah Ann had every right to go what she wanted and there’s not as if that relationship was a healthy one.

Re: Johnny refusing to be intimate - one theory could be he's just on the show for fake reasons and has a partner off camera, and he's just trying not to actually cheat on them. It's probably not that! Just crossed my mind.

Love your guys point of view on the show and love this season. I think Jeramy is getting some heat for no reason. I get that he was recently engaged, but he was single when he went on the show. I don’t like him, but he was single and I think it’s weird for his exs family to blast him. Trevor on the other hand is a POS for what he did. So many clout chasers …

When Matthew walks out of the pods there is a camera shot above the pods and there is no one sitting on Sara’s side. So they edited to look like he walked out on her.
I feel like Jimmy is saying what he thinks are the right things to stay in the public favor, but you can tell he doesn't mean any of it. And that paired with the fact that he and Chelsea are having sex is messing with her head which is making her already insecure thoughts worse. She doesn't handle it well, but I just think Jimmy is making her feel crazy gaslighting her.

Feels like they're both conspiring against Jimmy and Chelsea's relationship. Jeramey is the one who showed Jimmy Jessica's picture, and Laura is the one egging on Jessica to swoop in and talk to Jimmy. The Sarah Anne incident is karma for both of them.
You never blame the other person UNLESS they are well aware that the person is in a relationship. That's why Jessica is also at fault for flirting with/ wanting to get back at Jimmy

I honestly cannot believe that the two of you are not disecting Chelsea a bit more. She honestly makes me physically CRINGE. Sorry, but she IS clingly - actually, she is suffocating. IMO, she is an emotional vampire - and until she does some real work on herself, she is going to emotionally suck the life out of every relationship she's involved with. More than any other person on the show, she is my least favorite person. Jimmy has bent over backwards to do everything he can, to keep her happy. She on the other hand, has emotional meltdowns over every little thing. She makes mountains out of molehills. Also, if I hear " i'm going to puke" ONE MORE TIME - again, she makes me cringe.

I see where you're coming from but I think she can pick up on Jimmy's disappointment that she doesn't look like Megan Fox. He's technically saying all the right things so it temporarily soothes her doubt but she probably can, at the very least subconsciously, tell he's not SUPER into her. At least the editing makes it seem like he's not. Especially at that reveal. Yeesh.
@@deadams8905 i really don't think the megan fox comment was as detrimental as everyone is making it out to be. chelsea is annoying, overly needy, and it all stems from her projecting her past experiences onto a man she barely knows. she needs extensive therapy and to take time to herself before she thinks about being with anyone period. we as viewers cannot blame everything on the edit. also, i'm not giving jimmy any leeway lol. all of the men this season are garbage.
She's an emotional person and probably just needs a partner who is also emotional. She definitely feels the lack of attraction on Jimmy's behalf and when it is brought up, he won't tell the truth. That would make anyone act crazy.

I really like your podcast :) I don't leave a comment every time, but I really enjoy knitting and listening to you - it's like I'm talking to my girls :) This season is crazy! But I must say that I don't like Chelsea - I think she has a lot of problems with herself and is not ready for a relationship and marriage. She needs to learn to love herself before she can be with someone. I'm halfway through episode 10 and it just hurts to watch her. I didn't like Jimmy, but now I feel sorry for him...

POSSIBLE SPOILER DETAIL: In the preview where they show Chelsea in a wedding dress, that video is taken from the dress fitting scene when they put the vail on her head. Therefore, I'm now not sure that Chelsea and Jimmy even make it to the altar. Also, they are doing all of the weddings in one episode as well and finishing up the cliffhanger at the end of episode 10 when often they would have at least started showing the first wedding day. Thoughts?
I still think Jeremy going on the show after an engagement and selling their house is wrong. Like all of a sudden he's over his ex? Those are two major losses, loss of a companion and home built with someone he loved. I would definitely think, "Boo go work on yourself." Plus look at all his actions on the show, he's not thinking straight.

i was the lucky 1% that got pregnant with hormonal birth control. i had nexplanon (the arm implant). worth noting we didn’t use other protection. i understand where amy and johnny are coming from but there are other options! condoms/pull out method i think y’all will be fine!
I try not to judge anyone I don't know, and I could definitely be wrong, but Laura in general comes off very condescending to me, and I feel like she doesn't see her partner as an equal. She seems like she expects them to change to suit her. And telling her partner to sexualize her "friend" also gave me the ick. Also the fact that she already feels the need to have a GPS on her fiancé to check his location. Yikes. If there's not trust there, why are you pretending you want to get married? It's definitely still inappropriate that he met up with SA for hours without discussing it with Laura, but she comes off really controlling, and I found it hard to be all "go girl!" when she confronted him with everything else we've seen from her.

For Amy & Johnny I definitely agree there needs to be more sex education. Amy shared some more information on her Instagram regarding her health condition (some sort of blood disorder?) which is why she didn't want to take birth control and their discussion which gave more context. I believe they did talk about condoms but they wanted a secondary method of BC too. It's been a few days since I read it so I don't fully remember.

I don't think Clay is being genuinely honest. I feel that every time he expresses something related to how exposed he has been to unfaithful relationships, it is simply him warning AD that if he is unfaithful at any time it is

Gotta disagree. It was very intuitively obvious from the get go, that dating a white woman was going to be an issue for him. He backed it up with facts by saying he's never dated a white woman, and it seems that conversation with AD kind of sealed the deal for him. Likely on top of it, he just wasn't that into Brittany. I think it's totally fine if that's not his comfort zone and/or type, it's just the way he ultimately handled it that was pure scum on his part.
Oh that's absolutely enough for someone to rethink a relationship. I never bought that he was fully invested anyway but a conversation around whether someone is ready to raise mixed kids in NC giving them pause is valid.

You don't get a good look for whatever platform you got going for you and correct me if I'm wrong but you don't exactly look favorable to the public when you do this.
What's really pissing in my Cheerios though is production having casting reach out to cast rather than recruiting based on people who actively want to apply to the show. Unreality tv really ruins the experience for people who want a genuine shot.

I think Chelsea is just that way. I wouldn’t attribute it to the situation with Jessica. She comes off very whiny and unfortunately, Jimmy calling her needy fits the bill. She creates a scenario in her head and runs with it. Regardless of what happens with Jimmy and Jessica this week, I truly believe that she would behave that way in any other situation.
I believe she experiences more paranoia than intuition.
Do I think that any of these people actually want to get engaged and went on the show for the right reason? No. The show has become so big and when people get the opportunity to go on the show, they take it. Getting engaged in ten days is wild. Then getting married right after is even crazier. We also have to give these people some grace….

AD’s convo with Kenneth made me wonder if she was worried about Matthew raising black children. Did they discuss that? It didn’t seem that they did, because she didn’t want to talk about her appearance. So her talk with Kenneth came off as hypocritical to me. I love AD, but real talk here: she was questioning Kenneth’s relationship but not her own? Yikes.
It wasn’t AD’s place to bring that up. Brittney showed a lot of grace in responding to it.

Am I the only one who finds Clay annoying? His overuse of the word ‘baby’ is irritating.
Not just you. His overuse of the word makes me wonder if he's worrying he'll call AD by an exes name or something. In my experience, guys who overuse terms of endearment are being unfaithful in some way. Perhaps it's me projecting there, but this, added to over blinking and constantly soft prepping AD for him potentially being his father's son as a cheater makes me think he's not fully convinced and committed to the marriage. Might be wrong though. The reunion will be interesting for a few of these storylines!
