I really wished they would stop recruiting people and only cast the people that apply for the show. For me, the recruits seem to be the messy ones and they never find 'love' and hurt their partner(s) in the process.

I disagree. I thought how they treated Trevor was fair and they wanted to set an example for people in future seasons to not take this route. Also I believe that they didn’t ask much questions to Jimmy and Chelsea is because the producers completely flipped the narrative on the fight between Jimmy and Chelsea. If you listen to the podcast with Chelsea and her friend, Jimmy lied that night and told her that he was going to bed when he butt dialed her a minute later and she could hear everyone at his apartment. I don’t know why no one is discussing this.
I loved the updates on the old couples but it‘s sad that they left out important questions on the season 6 cast. And I wished for all the couples that got married to be back, season 1 was missing. Also Gianina being with somebody not from LIB was nice to see but they got more attention than the couple that got married this season, that doesn‘t add up for me.

All they did to Trevor was confront him with his own actions. I wouldn’t say that’s bullying. At first I said the same thing, it seems like he was just trying to get his girl back after being rejected. But he sent some of those BEFORE going on the show.
Trevor did what guys do. He kept her on the hook encase it didn’t work on the show. Then made her feel like she was it when it got rejected. Also, if he was talking about being on TV while in the PODS why didn’t they show the footage? They showed the footage about Matthew and the “drama” between Jessica and Jimmy. It felt like selective outrage. I bet Trevor isn’t the only one who has done that. Just the one who got exposed after the fact and not on the show.
They did this public lashing because he's on Perfect Match so unless they edit him out now they have to promote him later and make the public like him again 😅
but also like, jimmy brought his friend on the show and his friend agreed to come. he could've introduced her to chelsea off camera if it was so important to keep her privacy. this way if chelsea mentioned that on camera, the friend wouldn't have been exposed, because no one would know who she is. i think it was messed up to bring that up on camera, but choices were made on jimmy and the friend's side that led to that exposure as well.
I love you guys analysing reality shows!! and can see you guys analyzing not just Love is Blind but also other series. Podcasts are so oversaturated now, with every next person having a podcast but what separates you guys is your insight of being in the reality tv biz so I hope you make this into a bigger thing cause this should totally be something you do regularly. I hope you make it big and don't settle here! You guys have the personality, the perspective and hopefully the work ethic to be those big podcasts/analysing shows.
I’m so glad Natalie changed her perspective on Clay. I think Clay was honestly the most transparent and humble person this season. He knew he was not a perfect person and never pretended to be something he wasn’t. He gets a bad wrap for taking AD to the alter, but I will always respect a person who admits their flaws and what they’re battling with without being worried about people’s reactions.
From what I remember from his during the wedding scene was him saying to the producers that he didn't love AD enough to marry her. He definitely didn't say that to her at least from what we saw. It makes him look a bit disingenuous to me.

We don’t know what he told AD outside the cameras, but we do see him telling her that he didn’t feel like he was ready. I couldn’t see him being deeply in love if he had second thoughts throughout the entire process. Yes he should’ve made his decision before the alter, but im firm in my opinion that he was not deceptive.

I believe that Laura is upset with Sarah Ann today because the conversation at the cottage was had before Sarah Ann sat with Jeramy. Laura warned her and then Sarah Ann mocked her by going off into the sunset with Jeramy. This compounded with all of the social media posts is a slap in the face to Laura.
I do think Trevor would have left his girl for Chelsea just to stay on the show and if Im not mistaken Milton did the same thing I also dont think they went too hard on him. The backlash is harsh but all they did at the reunion was confront him with his own words and ask him valid questions. idk if i trust Sarah Ann's apology bc the day at the lake, she apologized to Laura but then told Jeramey she wasn't sorry about any of it and then went on the jet skis (jeramey's idea) with jeramey parading their relationship in front of everyone, seemingly having 0 remorse from either of them. And it also took over a year and public pressure for her (and jeramey) to finally apologize to Laura. On top of that both her and Jeramey were still dishonest about some things at the reunion to Laura.
I feel like you guys are misreading Jimmy. I think he failed Chelsea as a partner and you never mention how he lied and was out with these girls and Chelsea and her friends were trying to comingal and he was always saying no to her hanging out with them. And he wasn't in love with her. He wouldn't respect her concerns and was never home and telling her she was smothering him. She was desperate for him to give her a shot and I think he really really dropped the ball. And netflix did Chelsea dirty. Absolutely. I’ve been so upset and re-traumatized watching other women condemn chelsea and not even consider that maybe there was a reason for her to react like that. It’s all “oh but we must remember it’s an edited show” until there’s a woman at her breaking point. I always got untrustworthy vibes off of jimmy and i personally like Chelsea especially since her post-show interviews.
Agreed. Danielle from Season 2 got a bad edit too, and if you hear her & Nick’s story, Kinetic really mistreated her and manipulated the storyline into something far from reality. It made me realize that Kinetic can twist anything into something it’s not.

Ugh I hope I'm not too late for a debate here!! I have a hot take related to the Trevor situation. I believe that the reason why people empathized with Trevor was because of his reaction to everything they brought up. His head was bent, didn't really defend what he did, you could clearly see that he was humiliated. The delivery wasn't as bad as we think it was, but the contrast between the stern "finger-waving" and Trevor's bent head was. I'm not saying don't forgive and drop the kindness, but I'm saying watch out for biases and be comfortable with sternness.
One thing Im confused by is when you hear about LIB couples staying close friends everyone cheers it on and expressed how nice that is, but when people hear about for example Jimmy being close friends with an ex people are saying how inappropriet and disrespecful it is? So which one is it???
My theory is they knew the show was going down so they cast Trevor and Jeremy on purpose knowing their past That being said I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt so uncomfortable with the Trevor segment. I felt bad for him even though he did do wrong.
Hello, love hearing your recaps of LIB U.S. I'm not sure if you watched LIB Brazil, but at their reunion, they brought back past cast members who caused some drama and even some of the popular parents, which was interesting to watch , so wonder if thats what they tried to do at this seasons reunion. I was waiting for your review. The reunion was so unfair in the way they conducted themselves. They chose who to attack and create a messier show. They wanted to solidify their show while embarrassing people. They selected the stories to focus on just like the show. After the first 2 seasons, they show clearly is here for just entertainment.
Love your recaps! Interesting that a lot of people think that Trevor got what he deserved. For me it was very hard to watch. They should adress the girlfriend but this was too harsh.

“picking and choosing who to expose or attack is not okay” 100%!!!!! I wish I would’ve enjoyed the reunion, but it actually just made me very upset. You could tell how calculated the narratives were, and how it is that they were trying to program our minds to see things a certain way. Whenever nick or vanessa speak I just feel icky. And the more I learn about the realities of what people go through and the manipulation, it makes me lose interest in the show. D: I want to see change in the way reality tv stars are treated. And yes, though the tik tok and the screenshots were juicy, I just felt like it was SUCH an invasion of privacy. Getting so deep in their business like that. Sarah ann’s tik tok was just a silly little tik tok that wasn’t even saying anything bad, and they made it into an entire conspiracy and put her on the spot to try to make her look bad, and basically cornered her. gaslighting essentially. Anything she could have said would have been twisted. I’m not a sarah ann stan or fan or anything but I just felt like she was an example of how people will attack other people for entertainment value and money. I just wish there was a way to have the drama and the juiciness without the exploitation. I do wonder when these companies are gonna go down, or if they ever will.
Love this reunion so much. Them going after Trevor kinda made me want to continue to watch future seasons though, because it kinda made me believe this is still about finding true love and anyone who comes on the show for only fame (as opposed to other people might be partly for fame partly for love) will get hard punished.
They only went after Trevor because he's on Perfect Match and they didn't know he was going to be the villain like he turned out to be. Also look how hard they are on people who make the show look bad versus the crickets around people who abused others on the show.
I think clay wants to be good but struggles with it. The thing about him is if AD didn't have a great body, he would have been a lot like Shake. He made a big deal about looks and size both in the pods and in DR how he'd force her to the gym ECT but nobody ever talks about that part.
Just because the show is entertainment for viewers does not mean that the cast should go on there to BE entertainment. When Sarah Ann said that if made me feel like she was putting on a show and doing everything for the views, which was disappointing. I think they were 100% valid for rolling her receipts and calling her out like that. I am only 22 min into this episode but wanted to share my thoughts on that subject.
I'm so glad you touched on the fame properly. I watch every season of LIB that comes out and past about season 3, it just doesn't feel genuine. I love the drama but it doesn't feel like the majority of the cast are in it for the right reasons. No one knew if the earlier seasons were going to be picked up so the is a sincerity and genuine desire to find a spouse, and whilst this is still true for some of the cast, people know they're going to get thousands of followers once Netflix airs their season. I don't want the show to stop because there are still genuine couples that come out of it, and I love the messy drama, but I wish that Vanessa and Nick would address that this isn't just an issue unique to Trevor. Trevor is just the only person who had his intentions leaked
I think Chelsea had every right to bring up Jimmy sleeping with his friend. That is a deal breaker in most relationships to be friends with someone you have a history with. I would be acting crazy too if I was chelsea so we needed the context. Jimmy was putting his girl friends feelings before his fiancés.
i would have preferred a separate reunion special for the older cast members. there was too much tea this season to lose that much time to the oldies

Podcasts are so oversaturated now, with every next person having a podcast but what separates you guys is your insight of being in the reality tv biz so I hope you make this into a bigger thing cause this should totally be something you do regularly. I hope you make it big and don't settle here! You guys have the personality, the perspective and hopefully the work ethic to be those big podcasts/analysing shows.

I’m so glad Natalie changed her perspective on Clay. I think Clay was honestly the most transparent and humble person this season. He knew he was not a perfect person and never pretended to be something he wasn’t. He gets a bad wrap for taking AD to the alter, but I will always respect a person who admits their flaws and what they’re battling with without being worried about people’s reactions.
From what I remember from his during the wedding scene was him saying to the producers that he didn't love AD enough to marry her. He definitely didn't say that to her at least from what we saw. It makes him look a bit disingenuous to me.
You know why you’re supporting clay and toxicity because of his race and his looks. Toxic is toxic..
@@deadams8905it was VERY clear from what was showed that he was not deeply in love with her. We don’t know what he told AD outside the cameras, but we do see him telling her that he didn’t feel like he was ready. I couldn’t see him being deeply in love if he had second thoughts throughout the entire process.
Yes he should’ve made his decision before the alter, but im firm in my opinion that he was not deceptive.

I believe that Laura is upset with Sarah Ann today because the conversation at the cottage was had before Sarah Ann sat with Jeramy. Laura warned her and then Sarah Ann mocked her by going off into the sunset with Jeramy. This compounded with all of the social media posts is a slap in the face to Laura.
Sarah Ann doesn’t owe Laura anything.
I do think Trevor would have left his girl for Chelsea just to stay on the show and if Im not mistaken Milton did the same thing
I also dont think they went too hard on him. The backlash is harsh but all they did at the reunion was confront him with his own words and ask him valid questions. We all agree Chelsea broke Jimmys trust and she shouldnt have done that in general. idk if i trust Sarah Ann's apology bc the day at the lake, she apologized to Laura but then told Jeramey she wasn't sorry about any of it and then went on the jet skis (jeramey's idea) with jeramey parading their relationship in front of everyone, seemingly having 0 remorse from either of them. And it also took over a year and public pressure for her (and jeramey) to finally apologize to Laura. On top of that both her and Jeramey were still dishonest about some things at the reunion to Laura.

I feel like you guys are misreading Jimmy. I think he failed Chelsea as a partner and you never mention how he lied and was out with these girls and Chelsea and her friends were trying to comingal and he was always saying no to her hanging out with them. And he wasn't in love with her. He wouldn't respect her concerns and was never home and telling her she was smothering him. She was desperate for him to give her a shot and I think he really really dropped the ball. And netflix did Chelsea dirty. It was super sad to hear her perspective and see just how clearly misrepresented she was

Absolutely. I’ve been so upset and re-traumatized watching other women condemn chelsea and not even consider that maybe there was a reason for her to react like that. It’s all “oh but we must remember it’s an edited show” until there’s a woman at her breaking point. I always got untrustworthy vibes off of jimmy and i personally like Chelsea especially since her post-show interviews.
Agreed. Danielle from Season 2 got a bad edit too, and if you hear her & Nick’s story, Kinetic really mistreated her and manipulated the storyline into something far from reality. It made me realize that Kinetic can twist anything into something it’s not.
I don't know how anyone can be a fan of Laura. I'm all for female empowerment, but belittling your partner, especially for the world to see just shows your character.
Ugh I hope I'm not too late for a debate here!! I have a hot take related to the Trevor situation. I believe that the reason why people empathized with Trevor was because of his reaction to everything they brought up. His head was bent, didn't really defend what he did, you could clearly see that he was humiliated. The delivery wasn't as bad as we think it was, but the contrast between the stern "finger-waving" and Trevor's bent head was.
I'm not saying don't forgive and drop the kindness, but I'm saying watch out for biases and be comfortable with sternness.

I was waiting for your review. The reunion was so unfair in the way they conducted themselves. They chose who to attack and create a messier show. They wanted to solidify their show while embarrassing people. They selected the stories to focus on just like the show. After the first 2 seasons, they show clearly is here for just entertainment.

I liked that they shamed Trevor to set an example and to let others know, don’t apply if you’re not serious about this experiment. The only way to stop destroying the integrity of the experiment is to hold someone accountable for making it look like a joke…without accountability, then it becomes a convoluted experiment that can’t be trusted.

“picking and choosing who to expose or attack is not okay” 100%!!!!! I wish I would’ve enjoyed the reunion, but it actually just made me very upset. You could tell how calculated the narratives were, and how it is that they were trying to program our minds to see things a certain way. Whenever nick or vanessa speak I just feel icky. And the more I learn about the realities of what people go through and the manipulation, it makes me lose interest in the show. D: I want to see change in the way reality tv stars are treated. And yes, though the tik tok and the screenshots were juicy, I just felt like it was SUCH an invasion of privacy. Getting so deep in their business like that. Sarah ann’s tik tok was just a silly little tik tok that wasn’t even saying anything bad, and they made it into an entire conspiracy and put her on the spot to try to make her look bad, and basically cornered her. gaslighting essentially. Anything she could have said would have been twisted. I’m not a sarah ann stan or fan or anything but I just felt like she was an example of how people will attack other people for entertainment value and money. I just wish there was a way to have the drama and the juiciness without the exploitation. I do wonder when these companies are gonna go down, or if they ever will.
Love this reunion so much. Them going after Trevor kinda made me want to continue to watch future seasons though, because it kinda made me believe this is still about finding true love and anyone who comes on the show for only fame (as opposed to other people might be partly for fame partly for love) will get hard punished.
They only went after Trevor because he's on Perfect Match and they didn't know he was going to be the villain like he turned out to be. Also look how hard they are on people who make the show look bad versus the crickets around people who abused others on the show.

I think clay wants to be good but struggles with it. The thing about him is if AD didn't have a great body, he would have been a lot like Shake. He made a big deal about looks and size both in the pods and in DR how he'd force her to the gym ECT but nobody ever talks about that part.

Just because the show is entertainment for viewers does not mean that the cast should go on there to BE entertainment. When Sarah Ann said that if made me feel like she was putting on a show and doing everything for the views, which was disappointing. I think they were 100% valid for rolling her receipts and calling her out like that. I am only 22 min into this episode but wanted to share my thoughts on that subject.
I'm so glad you touched on the fame properly. I watch every season of LIB that comes out and past about season 3, it just doesn't feel genuine. I love the drama but it doesn't feel like the majority of the cast are in it for the right reasons. No one knew if the earlier seasons were going to be picked up so the is a sincerity and genuine desire to find a spouse, and whilst this is still true for some of the cast, people know they're going to get thousands of followers once Netflix airs their season. I don't want the show to stop because there are still genuine couples that come out of it, and I love the messy drama, but I wish that Vanessa and Nick would address that this isn't just an issue unique to Trevor. Trevor is just the only person who had his intentions leaked
I think Chelsea had every right to bring up Jimmy sleeping with his friend. That is a deal breaker in most relationships to be friends with someone you have a history with. I would be acting crazy too if I was chelsea so we needed the context. Jimmy was putting his girl friends feelings before his fiancés.
