Jessica said that Kenneth was one of the purest souls in the cast and that they had off screen agreed that they were not moving in the direction of marriage. The conversation on camera was for the sake of informing the viewers for the closure of the storyline.

I think Chelsea and Laura were both disrespectful toward AD and instead of assuming responsibility, they blamed their partners for their behavior, even though the guys were the ones also embarrassed in these interactions with AD. AD was able to deal with the disrespect with a great deal of grace and maturity, but I wish Chelsea and Laura were held accountable for their behavior
Thank you. AD clearly has taken responsibility for her body and overall outlook, even doing therapy so she can have a wholesome growth and health, which is not what can be said about these low-thought processing women. They felt that their self-esteem and self-confidence were challenged in many levels, and instead of working on themselves, they projected these insecurities on their 'supposed rival' (AD) and obviously their fiancées.
You'll see in upcoming episodes that Chelsea didn't want jimmy because she wanted jimmy... she wanted him because she wanted to feel like she won. She got the guy everyone wanted & he chose her over all the other women. That's why she made the Megan Fox comment. She knew what she was doing. I cannot STAND Chelsea. Her insecurity & need for constant validation is so fucking obnoxious.

I think its very risky to decide to marry a pseudo-random man and bring him around your daughter...with very little vetting... I don't think that is a safe move for the sake of your child.
I hate to say it but Jessica is an irresponsible and self centered mother, at least from what we have been able to see over the screen. As a young mother you cannot leave your child for 2 weeks to get engaged to a total stranger before the child even meets the man. It is just so irresponsible. What makes it worse is her attitude because she carries herself as better than others because she is pretty and is actively trying to insert herself in jimmy and Chelsea’s relationship just to get her revenge.

If you make a mistake and it's just you it's easier to manage recovering from it, and also recovering from the shock of it all (like Natalie and Deepti talk about how traumatising the experience was). I would not make any comments about how she is as a mother, don't think that is fair. But I do think it is not the right decision. She gives the vibe of being into the possible stardom rather than actually looking for a relationship

Clay and ADs reveal was problematic. He didn't get enthusiastic until she showed him her butt. He wasn't especially impressed with her face. Her body is what excited him. And he truly seems oblivious to how his views are messed up.
What Deepti said is soooooo true! People really embellish their personalities on this show (probably in dating in general) and most people's actions never match their words! A lot of people are NOT as self-aware as they think they are and this is why there is so much conflict especially when you're out of the pods. You don't have just your words to help coast through to be "picked". Also, people on the show chase ego over genuine connections. There is a need to be "chosen" over someone else more than taking time to see if that person is worth YOUR time. And there is also a drive to "win" the reality show by proving to the world that saying yes at the altar meant the connection worked ( even though this might not be the reality and they just overlooked a lot of issues to head to the "finish line") Also we as an audience spend way too much time analyzing people on reality TV (including me XD) instead of focussing on our stuff because it's always easier to judge other people! So while it's necessary to call people out it's also important to show people (especially those that are not inherently malicious) some grace.
So many thoughts, but Amy and Johnny give me the same feels as Kenny and Kelly in season 1. Everything is perfect and they look promising, but we'll see..

I really feel there is something disingenuous about Jimmy. He seems like he's trying to say everything perfectly for the cameras. When he has thoughts that he thinks won't come across well, he almost stutters trying to recover. Then, when he mistakenly says Jessica instead of Chelsea's name in one confessional interview, it makes me feel like he went with the lesser of 2 evils (in his eyes) of divorced woman vs. mother. I think he genuinely cared about Jessica and needs a strong woman like her. I actually loved Chelsea and Trevor's connection in the pods. I wish I could have seen that relationship continue out of the pods. PS someone compared Jimmy to Hank Hill, which I think is pretty hilarious but I think his celebrity lookalike is Peyton Manning.
Whenever Jimmy says I love you to Chelsea there's always a question mark at the end lol. It's like he thinks it's a chore to express love to her. I feel like he doesnt get why she wants his validation.

Honestly, I’m a jimmy hater, but I really think he’s handling the situation as best as he can. While I love Chelsea, she is insecure and he’s choosing his words as carefully as he can or avoid any conflicts with her. Also, I feel like you have to take into consideration the fee that the cast members have to pay if they choose to leave the show early. If jimmy really told Chelsea what was on his mind, they would probably break up before the weddings and he would have to pay that insane fee and if it was me, I’d try to avoid that as much as I can. That being said, jimmy really got himself into this situation by not being honest in the pods and I think if he was truly honest, he would not be here with Chelsea or anyone for that matter

Thank you for clarifying everyone gets engaged same day- that production just edits it to look some get engaged sooner in the process than others. I really actually started paying attention to the women’s and men’s quarters scenes and this was the first season I noticed that the some of the individuals that got engaged early were still there interacting with other castmates.
I am SOOOO glad that you point at Jimmy's gap/disconnect between his words and actions/energy!!! Like his actions, emotions, body language say one thing but words say another. We can feel that, our brains respond not only to words but also to emotions and actions. I was in a relationship where my partner did something similar. His focus was on saying the right things because being honest was too scary. He did not want to upset or hurt me, and he wanted to always be the good guy. When I addressed this disconnect between his words and emotions and actions, he went into full on denial. I think it was really ingrained in him that saying the right stuff should be enough to make us feel good. I assume this comes from lacking in emotional awareness and maturity. There is a reason we have mirror neurons. When something is off we will feel it in our bodies.
YES. There are a lot of moments when I feel like Chelsea is overreacting or blowing things out of proportion, but I think she is also picking up on something being “off” and that’s making her react so “irrationally”… her intuition is sounding alarms.

@@DanielleHill24 I have problems with Chelsea as well. But I didn’t agree that Jess’ explosion was at all warranted. Jimmy built multiple connections in the pods, as happens frequently. He was up front about that. He was clear about that he will not say “I love you” until he has made a decision about which direction he is going in, which is obviously the correct thing to do. And ultimately he didn’t pick Jess, and she got mad at him for the rejection she was experiencing. Her feelings of being upset about rejection are valid, but for her to put on him that he “ruined her experience” when she is fully accountable for her own decisions in choosing to only pursue connection with him, is wrong. It was emotional reactivity and lashing out in anger because things didn’t go how she wanted. Jimmy did not deserve to be on the receiving end of that kind of treatment. A lot of people think he made a mistake in not just cutting it off as soon as she revealed she had a daughter, but I think the correct approach was to go away and process and consider it, given she didn’t offer that information up front and waiting until he was invested in her (which was her plan). My opinion is he didn’t do anything wrong other than maybe not being direct enough on certain things, and that she really revealed her true character in that response.

I love all the Pod time. In the past it always seemed like they sped through the dates so fast it was hard to connect with their relationships and get on board with their love. Seeing all the time spent dating helps us to actually believe there might be a connection there.

IS THAT NOT A RED FLAG TO YOU CLAY? Maybe you need some therapy to heal that. He’s so overly immature and AD does not need that at all. Oh the icing on the cake for me was him basically admitting he would not make time for her. I get having a job and being busy but my husband used to drive far even if it was for a few hours to see me and drive right back.. because he loves me!! We lived 2 hours a part and sometimes just met up for dinner if one of us really needed some quality time. He never ever made me feel dumb for that. I agree with you. My instinct is that Clay did LIB to have business opportunities and become an influencer. He’s known to be an entrepreneur and I think his next step is influencer. He is not emotionally mature or ready for marriage but is acting like he is to be liked and have a future as an influencer. He admitted to cheating and not being serious about relationships prior to LIB. He initially was only attracted to AD based on her looks. Now he’s trying to make it more than that so they can become a favored couple and have business opportunities.

Ken seems like he hides behind scripture, he's learned to spit out what sounds like wisdom and maturity but its used as a defense to control how he's perceived and to stop others from questioning his actions. Everything is justified as a divine happening. These types of people are scary to be in a relationship with and can twist anything.

I think they didn't show Matthew and Amber's dates was editing for dramatic storytelling. Amber came in unprompted and told the girls what Matthew said, and we don't need to see evidence because we literally just saw Matthew saying those exact words to AD. They have a lot of footage to get through, they're relying on our ability to put two and two together. Critical thinking, BUT MAKE IT DRAMATIC!

This season quickly turned into a gut wrenching one… 😅 the girls are getting screwed 😢 … it gave me bad butterflies watching a few of the interactions and how the girls are feeling / being treated.
I just found out that my fiancé lied to me. I packed my bags and got picked up by my dad, but I have absolutely zero money and my dad asks why I need food... So this pod was going to comfort me, then it started off with Natalie being strong and have a support system annnd I got even more sad. Happy for Natalie though, of course!
If you learn the enneagram, you would see how Deepti is spot on about Johnny avoiding conflict (9), and Natalie is spot on about Kenny doing the same (9). 👏🏼

Jessica didn't refer to her looks in the pods while she was still getting to know Jimmy; Chelsea did. Chelsea specifically set up the question about celebrity look-alikes so that she could slip in there that "apparently" she looks like MGKs wife, which was annoying in itself because if anything, MGK is Megan Fox's husband; but it set an unrealistic expectation (this is the whole point of the pods, to not have an idea of what the person looks like). Even though she claimed not to understand why people saw it, part of her believes she looks like Megan if she brought it up. I also wasn't a fan of how Jessica behaved when Jimmy broke up with her, but she was hurt. I think that she felt scorned because she never brought up her looks in the pods but knew that if she had, it may have swayed Jimmy's opinion towards her. Yes, it was vain, but Jessica didn't destroy the whole premise of the show; Chelsea did.
Knowing black men and their behaviors, that man was not attracted to anything but her body. She is very very attractive, but not in the conventional way a lot of black men like Clay are looking for. It’s very sad.

Ok, but Jess.. Am I the only one who got the ick when she shared with him the old letter she wrote for her “future husband”? The letter itself was SO sweet, so vulnerable and so beautiful. It’s not the letter. It was her delivery. I think she gave away her heart and revealed too much too quickly. I think that’s what really hurt her deeply when Jimmy broke up with her. She wanted so badly to end up with a husband at the end of this experiment that she didn’t quite use a ton of wisdom with Jimmy.
I dont understand why Chelsea picked Jimmy over Trevor. Even when she was talking to her friends about her experience in the pods she spoke mostly good things about Trevor but didn’t clear up why she went for Jimmy… Also, clearly everyone is upset about the guys sexualizing AD but yet then blame Chelsea more about it ?

Love y’all! Regarding Chelsea’s Megan Fox comment, Chelsea did a post-show interview recently where she stated that Jimmy said to her in that conversation that he looked like- christian mccaffrey.. and they edited that part out.
Its really interesting how people can interact so differently in the pods w/ their potential fiancés versus how the interact with everyone (including their now current fiancés) once they are out of the pods. Its like the combination of minimal social pressure (which allows them to be more easily vulnerable) plus the ability to only interact by voice (thus being able to potentially mask how they are physically reacting to the other person) it tends to breed an environment that allows people on the show to project the best version of themselves that they can’t keep up in the real world, either because they misjudged how ready they were to be in deeply committed relationship (because you have to be willing to do the work beforehand and during which is f**ing hard) or they are just coming on the show for clout/economic opportunities (the most common “wrong reasons” for coming onto this show. I can’t help but think that if they were allowed to directly interact with their potential fiancés in the pods while still being somewhat isolated w/o phones that the people that end up together would have a better shot at staying together. It would completely defeat the purpose of the show given its title but it would allow people more of an opportunity to more clearly see who people are (both physically and emotionally) before committing that hard to someone you’ve only known for a few days. Anyways, that’s just my thoughts :)

I had my suspicion he was happy his story line went that way, when Chelsea was breaking it off. It all fell into place exactly how he wanted it.
I think Chelsea and Laura were both disrespectful toward AD and instead of assuming responsibility, they blamed their partners for their behavior, even though the guys were the ones also embarrassed in these interactions with AD. AD was able to deal with the disrespect with a great deal of grace and maturity, but I wish Chelsea and Laura were held accountable for their behavior

I hate to say it but Jessica is an irresponsible and self centered mother, at least from what we have been able to see over the screen. If you make a mistake and it's just you it's easier to manage recovering from it, and also recovering from the shock of it all (like Natalie and Deepti talk about how traumatising the experience was). What Deepti said is soooooo true! People really embellish their personalities on this show (probably in dating in general) and most people's actions never match their words! A lot of people are NOT as self-aware as they think they are and this is why there is so much conflict especially when you're out of the pods. You don't have just your words to help coast through to be "picked". Also, people on the show chase ego over genuine connections. There is a need to be "chosen" over someone else more than taking time to see if that person is worth YOUR time. And there is also a drive to "win" the reality show by proving to the world that saying yes at the altar meant the connection worked ( even though this might not be the reality and they just overlooked a lot of issues to head to the "finish line") Also we as an audience spend way too much time analyzing people on reality TV (including me XD) instead of focussing on our stuff because it's always easier to judge other people! So while it's necessary to call people out it's also important to show people (especially those that are not inherently malicious) some grace.

I really feel there is something disingenuous about Jimmy. He seems like he's trying to say everything perfectly for the cameras. When he has thoughts that he thinks won't come across well, he almost stutters trying to recover. Then, when he mistakenly says Jessica instead of Chelsea's name in one confessional interview, it makes me feel like he went with the lesser of 2 evils (in his eyes) of divorced woman vs. mother. I think he genuinely cared about Jessica and needs a strong woman like her. I actually loved Chelsea and Trevor's connection in the pods. I wish I could have seen that relationship continue out of the pods. PS someone compared Jimmy to Hank Hill, which I think is pretty hilarious but I think his celebrity lookalike is Peyton Manning.

Honestly, I’m a jimmy hater, but I really think he’s handling the situation as best as he can. While I love Chelsea, she is insecure and he’s choosing his words as carefully as he can or avoid any conflicts with her. Also, I feel like you have to take into consideration the fee that the cast members have to pay if they choose to leave the show early. If jimmy really told Chelsea what was on his mind, they would probably break up before the weddings and he would have to pay that insane fee and if it was me, I’d try to avoid that as much as I can. That being said, jimmy really got himself into this situation by not being honest in the pods and I think if he was truly honest, he would not be here with Chelsea or anyone for that matter

Thank you for clarifying everyone gets engaged same day- that production just edits it to look some get engaged sooner in the process than others. I really actually started paying attention to the women’s and men’s quarters scenes and this was the first season I noticed that the some of the individuals that got engaged early were still there interacting with other castmates.
I am SOOOO glad that you point at Jimmy's gap/disconnect between his words and actions/energy!!! Like his actions, emotions, body language say one thing but words say another. We can feel that, our brains respond not only to words but also to emotions and actions. I was in a relationship where my partner did something similar. His focus was on saying the right things because being honest was too scary. He did not want to upset or hurt me, and he wanted to always be the good guy. When I addressed this disconnect between his words and emotions and actions, he went into full on denial. I think it was really ingrained in him that saying the right stuff should be enough to make us feel good. I assume this comes from lacking in emotional awareness and maturity. There is a reason we have mirror neurons. When something is off we will feel it in our bodies.
YES. There are a lot of moments when I feel like Chelsea is overreacting or blowing things out of proportion, but I think she is also picking up on something being “off” and that’s making her react so “irrationally”… her intuition is sounding alarms.

@@DanielleHill24 I have problems with Chelsea as well. But I didn’t agree that Jess’ explosion was at all warranted. Jimmy built multiple connections in the pods, as happens frequently. He was up front about that. He was clear about that he will not say “I love you” until he has made a decision about which direction he is going in, which is obviously the correct thing to do. And ultimately he didn’t pick Jess, and she got mad at him for the rejection she was experiencing. Her feelings of being upset about rejection are valid, but for her to put on him that he “ruined her experience” when she is fully accountable for her own decisions in choosing to only pursue connection with him, is wrong. It was emotional reactivity and lashing out in anger because things didn’t go how she wanted. Jimmy did not deserve to be on the receiving end of that kind of treatment. A lot of people think he made a mistake in not just cutting it off as soon as she revealed she had a daughter, but I think the correct approach was to go away and process and consider it, given she didn’t offer that information up front and waiting until he was invested in her (which was her plan). My opinion is he didn’t do anything wrong other than maybe not being direct enough on certain things, and that she really revealed her true character in that response.

I’m sorry but Clay gets worse and worse as it goes on. This man is not a man but a boy. He heavily relies on what he sees in his past is just how he’s going to end up and imo he lacks accountability. Like he pretends he’s so accountable and realizes hes done something wrong but to me its fake. He keeps saying he’s only seen black men cheat on their wives and everyone he looks up to is a cheater. IS THAT NOT A RED FLAG TO YOU CLAY? Maybe you need some therapy to heal that. He’s so overly immature and AD does not need that at all.
Oh the icing on the cake for me was him basically admitting he would not make time for her. I get having a job and being busy but my husband used to drive far even if it was for a few hours to see me and drive right back.. because he loves me!! We lived 2 hours a part and sometimes just met up for dinner if one of us really needed some quality time. He never ever made me feel dumb for that.

I agree with you. My instinct is that Clay did LIB to have business opportunities and become an influencer. He’s known to be an entrepreneur and I think his next step is influencer. He is not emotionally mature or ready for marriage but is acting like he is to be liked and have a future as an influencer. He admitted to cheating and not being serious about relationships prior to LIB. He initially was only attracted to AD based on her looks. Now he’s trying to make it more than that so they can become a favored couple and have business opportunities.

I dont think Jess meant anything mean spirited towards Chelsea and the the way she looks because shes a gorgeous girl... I just think that Jessica was feeling shit about the whole situation and knows shes a beautiful girl and knows her worth. When she said about Jimmy ruining her experience made ne think that he'd led her on in the sense of making her feel secure enough to the point that she cut everyone else off and didn't explore other connections but thats the rinsk you take when doing this. But i also feel like he truly was just trying to process it all so i see both sides but idk🤷🏻♀️🙈
This season quickly turned into a gut wrenching one… 😅 the girls are getting screwed 😢 … it gave me bad butterflies watching a few of the interactions and how the girls are feeling / being treated.
I just finished the new episodes and I was so triggered. Not good at all.

I just found out that my fiancé lied to me. I packed my bags and got picked up by my dad, but I have absolutely zero money and my dad asks why I need food... So this pod was going to comfort me, then it started off with Natalie being strong and have a support system annnd I got even more sad. Happy for Natalie though, of course!

I personally feel that you ladies are showing Jessica more grace than Chelsea when clearly Jessica was referring to her physical appearance. What they both did was not right, what Chelsea did wrong should not trump Jessica's reaction to rejection. Why are we showing Jessica more grace when she is clearly superficial

Jessica didn't refer to her looks in the pods while she was still getting to know Jimmy; Chelsea did. Chelsea specifically set up the question about celebrity look-alikes so that she could slip in there that "apparently" she looks like MGKs wife, which was annoying in itself because if anything, MGK is Megan Fox's husband; but it set an unrealistic expectation (this is the whole point of the pods, to not have an idea of what the person looks like). Even though she claimed not to understand why people saw it, part of her believes she looks like Megan if she brought it up. I also wasn't a fan of how Jessica behaved when Jimmy broke up with her, but she was hurt. I think that she felt scorned because she never brought up her looks in the pods but knew that if she had, it may have swayed Jimmy's opinion towards her. Yes, it was vain, but Jessica didn't destroy the whole premise of the show; Chelsea did.

What you said is interesting when you said that all the engagements happen on the same day. Cause I really thought some people proposed days earlier than others. So does the show say that no matter when you know who you want to marry, you must wait til the last day in the pods? Are all the reveals shot on the same day too?
Ok, but Jess.. Am I the only one who got the ick when she shared with him the old letter she wrote for her “future husband”? The letter itself was SO sweet, so vulnerable and so beautiful. It’s not the letter. It was her delivery. I think she gave away her heart and revealed too much too quickly. I think that’s what really hurt her deeply when Jimmy broke up with her. She wanted so badly to end up with a husband at the end of this experiment that she didn’t quite use a ton of wisdom with Jimmy.
I dont understand why Chelsea picked Jimmy over Trevor. Even when she was talking to her friends about her experience in the pods she spoke mostly good things about Trevor but didn’t clear up why she went for Jimmy…
Also, clearly everyone is upset about the guys sexualizing AD but yet then blame Chelsea more about it ?

Love y’all! Regarding Chelsea’s Megan Fox comment, Chelsea did a post-show interview recently where she stated that Jimmy said to her in that conversation that he looked like- christian mccaffrey.. and they edited that part out.

Its really interesting how people can interact so differently in the pods w/ their potential fiancés versus how the interact with everyone (including their now current fiancés) once they are out of the pods. Its like the combination of minimal social pressure (which allows them to be more easily vulnerable) plus the ability to only interact by voice (thus being able to potentially mask how they are physically reacting to the other person) it tends to breed an environment that allows people on the show to project the best version of themselves that they can’t keep up in the real world, either because they misjudged how ready they were to be in deeply committed relationship (because you have to be willing to do the work beforehand and during which is f**ing hard) or they are just coming on the show for clout/economic opportunities (the most common “wrong reasons” for coming onto this show.
I can’t help but think that if they were allowed to directly interact with their potential fiancés in the pods while still being somewhat isolated w/o phones that the people that end up together would have a better shot at staying together. It would completely defeat the purpose of the show given its title but it would allow people more of an opportunity to more clearly see who people are (both physically and emotionally) before committing that hard to someone you’ve only known for a few days. Anyways, that’s just my thoughts :)
