Hi, u prob don't remember me but I year or so ago I asked how you make the node connecter lines straight and you made a video on it, first of all thank you for that second of all, thanks for always having amazing videos I've got so much better at procedural materials from you, and I just wanna say thanks.
HI ryan, great tutorial!! So infortunately for myself on blender 4.0 , still not have general, maps or bake on preferences tab, not working for me, thank you
I can’t get it to work correctly. It only bakes whatever map is highlighted in the qbaker menu, 1 at a time, and if I bake another map it overwrites the previous map.
Hey! I bought this add on today via your link. Also subscribed to your channel on both of my accounts this personal one and the school account! Hope it helps you! As I mentioned earlier on a comment I study game development so this add on speeds up things a lot. However I am having bit of a trouble with things that have metallic on them. For some reason in the Unity HDRP it seems to turn the object black. I used the unity hdrp preset in the quick baker. Any ideas on why that may be? The same thing happens when I tried to use blender baking by doing the metallic via the emission. Didn't find the viewer node either that you used in the tutorial. Emission seems different to me in the principled bsdf so maybe it got an update. PS: The high poly to low poly seems like something that would be extremely usefull for optimization of games. How far can I push it tho?
Have you seen my baking metallic maps video? ua-cam.com/video/sOvRr_D8ZpU/v-deo.htmlsi=2hygGTtfY17yT85h Also, in the new Blender update, the removed the "Viewer Node" so it just plugs directly up to the material output. But the node wrangler and baking still works exactly the same. As far as the Unity issues go, I can't help you much there, as I have no experneice with Unity.
Hi Ryan, i have just purchased the Add-on. One question, can we used it for multiple objects at the same time, (let's say a whole building) or you recommend to bake item by item? Thanks or your answer in advance.
@@RyanKingArt Thanks! I did it, and it works baking multiple objets ate the same time. My problem now is the UV wrapping :( I did not do it... I already did all my procedural materials and render many views, but for this baking the add-on asks me for UVs... I guess I cannot skip that step. It is really challenging migrating from Sketchup to Blender. Do you have any video suggestion regarding UV mapping models imported from Sketchup?
does the low poly have to be low poly? I just want to bake my uvs from a broken mesh back onto a retopo mesh. do i just select the uv i want to bake to?
The only thing that might be kind of useful to add would be automatic material-remapping after bake. I.e. that it does the steps explained with Node Wrangler by itself. Nonetheless, great workflow.
Thanks for the tutorial request. I might make some grease pencil tutorials sometime. However, personally I'm not very interested in doing 2d animation.
yes this is possible. To learn how, you can watch these tutorials: ● Bake Textures from One UV Map to Another: ua-cam.com/video/wsO1eozb1Qk/v-deo.html ● Bake Multiple Materials to One Texture Map: ua-cam.com/video/eE7FedDW2AI/v-deo.html
Yes, It has features like Auto UDIM bake, Shader Node bake, Auto Cage setup, Map preview, Existing texture bake, Vertex color for material id map, and 45 unique maps to bake.
Well I'm not impressed with this Baking add on, I expected to be able to throw any model into it, especially one that I a relative newb to blender could create and have it do its work... but nope... first thing I struck was a bug.. got that fixed by the dev who was admittedly pretty attentive. However I found out that it does not like anything other than principled BDSF and because one of my textures from the internet used glossy I have to work around it by editing nodes... yet Ryan has a tutorial on baking textures related to his rover wheel, following it I successfully baked out all the textures and they worked - but I am being told this Quick Baker can't do it.. WTF! because it has a glossy node and the dev expects me every time I strike this problem to fix it manually telling me Python can not do what Ryan did with his rover wheel video. I don't quite know what to do or believe at the moment, if you can't do it in script, whats the point of having script!

Amazing. Thanks
you're welcome!
Amazing 🤩🤩
Thanks!
Thank you. Do you have any information as to comparing this plug in to baking normal maps in Substance Painter?
I dont know, as I have never used substance painter.
Can you bake low poly to low poly with this addon like in Substance Painter?
I can’t get it to work correctly. It only bakes whatever map is highlighted in the qbaker menu, 1 at a time, and if I bake another map it overwrites the previous map.
Thanks to u making titural for us
you're welcome!
Today my friend wished for a quick baking addon and just after a few hrs it came! Woo thanks a lot

Yes I believe you can add multiple objects into the objects slots, and then when you hit bake, it should bake them all at once.

purchased your quick baker, but it doesn`t bake and shows mistakes in python code
could you please help me?
I did not make the quick baker addon, I'm just reviewing the addon. To get technical support, you should contact the addon creator.
@@RyanKingArtthank you! Found out that quick baker is really quick but it works with versions 3.3 or 3.6

A 16-minute video cut into 20 parts wasn't very interesting.
thanks for the feedback
