@@jacobhoover1654 No, Londor is completely different place. The ringed city was a city gifted by Gwyn to the Pygmies and humans for helping him in the war against the dragons. Londor is a place for undead and hollows. The people in Londor probably "stole" the towers from The ringed city. Or the devs really are not creative.
@@pommeslord1824 Londor worshipped Kathe & there are statues of him all over the Ringed City. The ritual sword of Londor has the same symbol that's on top of the towers in Ringed City. The Clerics in Ringed City have those shells on thier backs just like the Londor Pilgrims. You provided no proof they are not the same place.
@@jacobhoover1654 Yes there are statues of Kaathe (or any other serpent) in the ringed city but there are no signs of his actions. He taught the art of lifedrain to the four Kings, that's why the darkwraiths use it. And yes the darkwraiths were at some point the knights in the ringed city but they were corrupted by the Kaathe and also learned the art of lifedrain. The ringed knights don't have the art of lifedrain because they weren't corrupted by Kaathe and the abyss. The art of lifedrain is a pretty big deal in Londor but no one uses it in the ringed city. The Sable church is also a big thing in Londor but it is nowhere to be seen in the ringed city. The only thing that comes close to a church in the ringed city is the church where Fillianore sleeps. But why should humans who want the end of the age of fire protect or even pray to Gwyns daughter? They even have a dragon who fights the abyss. Only these insect people have some relation to the abyss but they are not even really in the ringed city but in a swamp outside of it. The ritual sword and the shells are maybe a thing that humans did back in the day and that's why it is everywhere . Our world too has many similarities in architecture or clothes too. I actually think that Londor is a rebuilt new Londo but it's just my theory, the ritual sword also looks close to the key of the seal from Ds 1. Or these shell guys were banished out of the city and founded their own one. That would explain the architecture and stuff. But I stay with what I said, The Ringed City is not Londor. Is this enough proof?
@@pommeslord1824 There are no signs of Kathe bc he's dead by the time of DS3 (according to Yuria's death dialogue). Also, I agree the Ringed City Knights & Darkwraiths are related but the RCK's still have the seal of fire on them that contains the Abyss forged into thier armor, so maybe that seal has to break for them to be able to use Life drain.
The unseen lands have always been some of the most interesting and alluring aspects of the ds lore imo. Really glad they’re abt to get some more attention!
@Judge Death part one is picking a location, i had an idea for astora, but i feel with such popular NPCS it is going to be one of thr more popular options, perhaps the great swamp?
@Judge Death see i saw an astora in its early days being attacked by fanatical servants of the evil eye, a proud knight defending a little boy who had stumbled. The boy holding a very familiar sunlight Talisman and looking up at the knight in awe. From the middle of the cobblestone streets. TM dont steal.
@Judge Death i swear if i see this idea in the submissions ima be pissed. XD i wanted to make the child solaire the facial expression would be the most important thing
I have always thought much about this and it's one of the reasons to why i admire dark souls the say i do. There is so much unseen that is yet so clearly detailed to those who can see their hidden descriptions. I'm really looking forward to see the results of the contest! Best of luck to all who take part~
Well this sounds absolutely fantastic. Can't say that I'm the most adept at architectural design, but I'd genuinely like to try making a portrayal of an area like Astora or Carim. Thanks so much for a great shot at such an awesome contest, Vaati!
I really hope mirrah wins this A great capital in the middle of the land with proud knights, surrounded by lots of small scattered villages all holding their ground with viking like living styles. Mirrahs fashion game too stronk
So glad you touched on Astora. Ever since I’ve read the description on the Evil eye ring, and donned the same set that Oscar, Anri, and Ricard did, and had jolly co-op with Solaire, I wondered if we would ever see Astora at all. It’s so interesting to imagine the place. I wanna give my thoughts, but don’t want to sway the competition.
Man I want Londor so bad, I admire them. Turns a curse into a strength and pride, and have ambitions that seem beyond other people's, to stop the cycle and usher in a new age, instead of the stagnation, Gwyn helped create.
What about the knights of *Berenike* in DS1? I'm super excited to see the results though, where will they be posted? Maybe we could get a follow up results video with commentary and opinion from Vaatividya + crew?
If you just play through the Souls game without reading any description then you'll never know there's such an incredible world behind it, this is top-notch storytelling through environment.
The whole video I hoped to see something about Forossa, a land that brought some to the series but seems to be always forgotten. I'm glad you did. Also love Mirrah and Catarina, though those I didn't fear to see 'em here, they're obvious
I just find this vids so nostalgic. Like i can see through a window the lands of so many tales, tales of mine, tales of others. I wish we could have more Dark souls, new lands, new heroes, new betrayals. But now more than ever the bittersweet stories of Dark souls make a lot of sense. Because there is tragedy in no longer having something new to find out in the land you love.

I can't describe the feeling I have to watch this video. I've been so curious about these places. I think I'm jolly.
Artist: ah shit here we go again
Adam Safai fr lmao
The unseen lands have always been some of the most interesting and alluring aspects of the ds lore imo. Really glad they’re abt to get some more attention!
The Bottom Lands where we go after gid gut from a cliff.
This is one of the coolest Dark Souls competitions I have seen in a long time!
How dare you get me excited to make another art project, my backlog of work is already 2 miles long! 😂
Hoping to see a Bloodborne centric art contest after this one, I'd love to see what types of new weapons or Great Ones these artists would conjure up.
Mirrah: I am attacked by all my neighbords!
Poland: First time?
Man, do I wish I had artistic talents. I can only imagine the amazing works that people will submit. You are awesome and appreciated.
I'd love to see a representation of the Fivefinger Delta, there's almost no info about it so it's completely open to interpretation
I have always thought much about this and it's one of the reasons to why i admire dark souls the say i do. There is so much unseen that is yet so clearly detailed to those who can see their hidden descriptions. I'm really looking forward to see the results of the contest! Best of luck to all who take part~
Vaati, The only one keeping us from despair while we wait for Elden Ring
Keeping us from going hollow
Well this sounds absolutely fantastic. Can't say that I'm the most adept at architectural design, but I'd genuinely like to try making a portrayal of an area like Astora or Carim. Thanks so much for a great shot at such an awesome contest, Vaati!
You see those warriors in Carthus? They’ve got curved... swords. Curved swords!
It never get old I like it
Heh heh heh heh that's for damn sure.
*OWW OWW OWWWWW*
Oh man, can't wait for this. Loved the Elden Ring art contest and I'm excited to see what all these talented artists can come up with.
I really appreciate the ds2 representation 👌 it's still my favorite souls game
Hold this dislike
@@Hollow_McHollow ah, you're one of those huh? Really makes me love the souls community...
DS2 really added so many interesting lands and peoples only for them to never be mentioned again lmao
I really hope mirrah wins this
A great capital in the middle of the land with proud knights, surrounded by lots of small scattered villages all holding their ground with viking like living styles.
Mirrahs fashion game too stronk
I love this. Making a picture of things we always have known but never have seen.
personally i feel they're more captivating the less we know
So glad you touched on Astora.
Im gonna try
Heavy emphasis on *try*
Good luck to you!
Thank you so much for using your platform to encourage art Vaati, through it we can find our humanity
Man I want Londor so bad, I admire them. Turns a curse into a strength and pride, and have ambitions that seem beyond other people's, to stop the cycle and usher in a new age, instead of the stagnation, Gwyn helped create.
Dude, I cant wait to see the submissions. This Is going to be so amazing! Thanks Vaatividya!
What about the knights of *Berenike* in DS1?
I'm super excited to see the results though, where will they be posted?
Maybe we could get a follow up results video with commentary and opinion from Vaatividya + crew?
Hopefully!
That would be dope!
I'm genuinely really excited to see what this amazingly talented community will come up with!! Best of luck!
what about the homeland of the varangians? it sounds like it could be hinted at in elden ring
God, I love these art contests, so many talented people with a deep love for Soulsbornekiro games
Oh god, in a year or two we will have to start saying SekSoulsBornekiro Ring... and after that it'll just get unmanageable.
You forgot Berenike.
I haven’t done enough environment art to even consider entering this comp haha
It’ll be awesome to see everyone else’s submissions though!!
What about the mysterious cat helmet that was found by oro and peeve , certainly that points to the cat land o.o
If you just play through the Souls game without reading any description then you'll never know there's such an incredible world behind it, this is top-notch storytelling through environment.
"...a man with legendary armor said to be invisible to a coward's eye. Heh, you can't see it, can you?"
Me: Haha....hey, wait a minute
The whole video I hoped to see something about Forossa, a land that brought some to the series but seems to be always forgotten.
I'm glad you did.
Also love Mirrah and Catarina, though those I didn't fear to see 'em here, they're obvious
Right in time for lunch. Perfect meal. Cheers.
You're voice is so relaxing. I could listen to you all day.
so Londor is basicly just detroit
I just find this vids so nostalgic. Like i can see through a window the lands of so many tales, tales of mine, tales of others.
I wish we could have more Dark souls, new lands, new heroes, new betrayals.
But now more than ever the bittersweet stories of Dark souls make a lot of sense. Because there is tragedy in no longer having something new to find out in the land you love.
I am playing DARK SOULS 2 💪🏻
I just wanna say i respect the shit out of u for driving artists the way u have been with these competitions it warms my heart
1750$? That's oddly specific. :,D
1750 was the year when Hidetaka Miyazaki was born.
@@severalcakes3267 and thus the Age Of Great Games started.
finally a new vid :>
Should do an art contest for unseesn gods perhaps
Bruh what about Berenike?
I'm so excited about this. Whoever is participating, good luck. Even if you wouldn't get a prize, I'm sure you'll have fun in participating.
16:47 Im licking my screen right now.
Bruh
You ok there??
