Great recipe - and perfect for thr summer! I'm going to make this for my lunch today. It will be perfect with a burdock root (gobo) salad I made this morning. Thanks Kunihirosan! 🥢
Thank you so much chef Kunihiro! One of my favorite dishes! You are a perfect teacher, so well explained and clear. Love your recipes. Thank you again, great respect!
me too, if i go out and eat Japanese the 4 dishes i usually 'test out' a new place with are Agedashi Tofu, Tempura, Shiogayaki, Sukiyaki... if they do these well, then they have a repeat business client who'll keep going again and again. if they mess any one of these up for whatever reason... then bye bye. Your agedashi tofu, once again, like your tempura, makes me want to try to prepare it myself! thank you again! 🙇♀
You are an excellent teacher. Your tips and explanations for why you do what you do are terrific. I understood you very clearly and that makes for a confident enthusiastic cook! Great channel.

You might notice that the sauce tends to be a bit on the salty side, but resist the urge to dilute it. A slightly strong sauce is necessary to enhance the flavor of relatively bland tofu.😋 Thank you so much for watching.😊
As I mentioned in the video, you might find the sauce is a little too strong, but please don't add water. It tastes perfect with Tofu. I hope you'll like it.😊

This is another my favorite dish. As I mentioned in the video, you might think the sauce is a little too strong, but don't add any water to it. The bit strong sauce goes well with tasteless Tofu.🤤
Hi been watching all your amazing cooking videos! Can't wait to try and make these recipes soon! What kind of tofu brand are you using for the Agedashi tofu? Also what kind of soy sauce brand are you using for most of your recipes? :)
I think I used House soft tofu for this video. And soy sauce and is always Kikkoman soy sauce. I recommend using Japanese soy sauce when preparing Japanese food. Thank you for watching.😊
What perfectionist…… I tried cooking fried tofu but never was satisfied because it didn’t crisp to my satisfaction…even calamari..the batter couldn’t stay on…can you do a video on calamari, please. Where I live there is no Japanese restaurant..its getting very rare…no mamasan cooking…the real authentic Japanese food…. But I still do cook some Japanese food…I truly enjoy your cooking and your explanation of how to cook…thank you so much 👍😄
I just did a little research since I never used it before. And I found out that many people use cassava starch as a substitute for Potato starch. The texture is a little different. ( It creates a little thicker coating) But it should work fine.😊
Alcohol of mirin will evaporate while boiling and simmering. So it's safe. The main purpose of mirin is not to add the smell of alcohol but to give depth to the sauce. Thank you for watching.😊
Oh, you found it!! Sorry for a late reply. Yes. you can definitely use that tofu. But please treat it very gently because the softer the tofu, the more breakable it becomes.
Hello Brother,I really wish to know whether the Japanese/Chinese eat these ready made sauces like Soy sauce, oyster sauce etc daily in their meals as in India we are being told that these are with preservatives and cause cancer?? Also I have observed that mostly all of your savoury dishes have some sweet in it like sugar, honey etc...doesnt that make you fat as in India most savoury dishes don't have any sugar added to it?? Thanks
Kunihiro san, thank you for this. I also saw this on another channel. Is this chicken karaage? Why was there some white spots on the chicken? ua-cam.com/video/LieEZ5Elh58/v-deo.html.

Yes, you can. With konbu dashi, it becomes a vegan dish!! 😊 Shimeji and oyster mushrooms taste sooo good in agedashi tofu.
