I made a presentation for a party discussing the same topic and I am upset and downright appalled that you did not go more into detail about the ghosts of Sonic 06, which borderline confirm the concept of purgatory in the Sonic the Hedgehog
The ghosts from Sandoplis appear in Sonic the comic from the UK. There are a few other ghosts in the comic such as a pirate ghost that was killed for the crime of taking the last biscuit.
The Shadow Prima guide calls the skeleton monster as the Giant Walker. However, what is interesting is that in the Japanese guidebook for Shadow, the Giant Walker is called Monster. It also mentions in said-guidebook that it is the ghost of an unidentified creature that lurks underground of Cryptic Castle.
Hyudoros also appear in the Sandopolis mini level in Lego Dimensions. You release 3 of the exact same way as in S3&K and you have to play hide and seek with them.
Maybe eventually, nothing planned at the moment but a chao garden video is definitely on my radar. That one might be tough since Cybershell’s video’s already pretty comprehensive, I’ll have to give it some thought and see if I have anything worthwhile to add
