Sonic Adventure 2 is Weird

- Sonic Adventure 2 is a fan-favorite game in the Sonic franchise, but there's a lot about it that's a little off-kilter. In this video, I'll be talking about some of those oddities, including some differences between the Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo Gamecube and PC versions of the game, as well as some other stuff.
Here's the first in a series of videos I'm gonna make where I ramble about a blue cartoon rodent, which I've somehow determined of my own free will to be an efficient use of my time.

Personally he’s one of my favourites but I understand why he isn’t very popular. I’m really excited to see him in Prime and Frontiers :)
I’ve noticed he’s gained A LOT of popularity recently and that makes me smile.

I don't care. I don't hate nor completely like Big. He's one of the funniest sonic characters.
I think the reason Big looks so unusual for a cat is that he's based on a Maine Coon, fluffy large domestic cats, some of which being a whole ass meter long
Just looked up what a Maine Coon is and my goodness they're huge...
Also kind of looks like he's colored like the Cheshire Cat, which could explain him constantly popping up in the game

The reason why Big is my favorite character is because he is just a dumb guy trying to make people happy while also chilling with his friend. I literally see no flaws with this character he is just so funny and wholesome I love him lol
I think people's negative opinion of him stems mainly from his gameplay.

I had SA2B on the GameCube and I never knew about big the Cat being a playable character. I have the steam port and I wonder if the alt kart skins and big the cat being playable is a thing on there.
This is very sad as I cannot be convinced that big the cat is not the best character in the franchise.

Not because of the joke itself but because both he and Rouge drive in the main story and you can't unlock their story vehicles for them.

They cut the Big cameos because they figured SA2 was going to be most Gamecube players' first ever Sonic game (SA1 wouldn't be ported for a few more years). They were worried that Gamecube players wouldn't recognize him.
