I actually knew every fact here, so heres another fun fact Christian whitehead and headcanon (now evening star) were originally supposed to work on sonic superstars, but couldn't work on it extensively as evening star was working on pennys big breakaway. Evening star is even listed in the special thanks section of the credits. In pennys big breakaway, several sega alumni such as naoto oshima are also listed in that games special thanks.

Okay 2 things 1.) Adding the infliction on the word "Bonus" the way cybershell does to sorta call back to the start of the video was a very nice touch 2.) I really hope the confusion around S3&K idle animation isnt a real thing cause seriously, and u hate to sound like a smartass here but that has to be the most obvious animation ever u can see his fingers go into the most obvious and universal "i just snapped my fingers" pose ever and the 2nd pose cant be anything else but a finger point like....what else did people he was doing all these years if this is actually mystery to people?

Say what you want about Sonic Superstars, but I love the fact that Fantasy Zone was referenced in this game. I would've preferred it being implemented into the battle mode in some way, but still. I also love that the boss of Cyberstation is your custom battle mode character and that Metal Nights is a thing as well as Metal Knuckles, and Mecha Sonic Mark 1 returning.
The Fantasy Zone thing also makes sense as Mania had a Puyo Puyo-inspired boss fight, maybe a potential tradition that future classic titles could continue with? Like give me a Streets of Rage level with Knuckles or something.
Well, you mentioned something I didn't know, so I liked the video. On the metal knuckles thing. I remember you could play as team metal in Sonic Heros by pushing a combination of buttons on team select. It was a team for metal sonic, metal tails, and metal knuckles.

A Massive portion of their player base are console players, most especially kids with Nintendo Switches. Sonic Generations is, for the most part, locked on consoles whose successors do not have backwards compatibility, and even if they did Sonic Generations on PS3 was at 30fps. A Sonic Generations port makes all kinds of sense. It may not help *you guys*, but it helps both Sega and lots of Sega customers. I have four kids. I am not pulling my PS3 out of its crate in the garage and setting it up for them to play Sonic Generations, nor am I letting them on my PC.
Extra info: Sonic SuperStars bonus stage looks like a comeback of Sonic 1's special stage, but it uses the original Sonic CD's special stage concept before being replaced by the Super Mario Kart inspirated special stage. According with Masato Nishimura (a.k.a. Mazin, that Mazin from that "Fun is Infinite" ilustration), the original Sonic CD's special stage could feature two layers of of rotating mazes, and Sonic should alternate between the layers to find the Time Stone.
The version with the comic skins was discounted on Amazon for some time lol. I got the game for £20 and I got literally all of the pre-orders despite not being any “day one” edition.

I feel like they dropped Orion from the title because they have a similar product with a similar name out currently. Sonic Origins, which is also 2D Sonic. I feel like they wanted to make sure the products were more distinct so grandmas buying games for their grandkids or whatever didn't get confused. That and Sonic Orion lacks the alliteration that Sonic Superstars has so it could have also been a way to make their product a little more memorable to the average consumer.
