The metal washer behind inner tie rod has ears you need to bend over to lock it in place. (also unbend them when removing the old part) Also the inner tie rod should be torqued to factory specs. Bonus tip - lock your steering wheel in place before you start otherwise you risk having the steering wheel off center when driving. Ask me how I know.

What symptoms of a broken tie rod?
Vibration in steering wheel and you will feel that you have out of balance wheel, but it's your tie rod
